The contest for prizes is restricted to US citizens. The Battle-Bot pet is restricted to US servers. Canada, Australia, and a few other countries play on the US servers. If you play on a US realm, you can currently get the pet and the fuels.

There was a bug that allowed players on European servers to obtain the pets. This has been corrected and the pets removed from the affected players.

Also, before anyone complains about this being US only; do not blame Blizzard and/or Pepsi Cola. It is not their fault, they simply have to obey international laws in regards to promotions and prizes.

Parent post is merely attempting to garner tokens for the promotion. From the official page:

Faction Flags: A Participant can create his/her own Horde or Alliance faction flag on the Website and download and post his/her faction flag on message boards, personal websites, and blogs and earn 25 Tokens per Promotion Period. For each person who clicks on the Participant's faction flag and completes the Initial Sign-In in to the Website, the Participant will earn 50 Tokens. Limit of up to 250 Tokens for person recruited per day.

You can create your own recruitment e-mail or "Faction Flag" and earn 50 Tokens for every referral signup you get, then redeem them for things like the Battle Fuel for your bot. Whether you want to support the parent poster or not by clicking their link is up to you, you can also sign up just by visiting http://www.mountaindewgamefuel.com. But please, do not spam this page with your own recruitment attempts.

I just saw one of these in Whisperwind at the auction house. I clicked on it and it said something. I kept clicking and he said more things, however, I could not understand what it said.

Would someone please post all the things he says?

The shocking thing about this page is that it is severely lacking a piece of information.

After obtaining the pet, during the promotion with Mountain DewTM, if you logged onto the website on a daily basis, all your tunes got Blue War Fuel or Red War Fuel (Dont know how to link) of which you got five (5) for which ever you choose on that day. You could carry both colors.

IF you had the Warbot, and you came across someone else who had it, if the fuels were opposing (one red, one blue) the two bots would fight. If they were the same color, they would be friendly to each other.

There is no way to get more fuel, and they dont plan on making a way to add more. (per GM)

This item is now available for purchase from various toy vendors; thus, the item is now available again in-game for 500g (discounts from reputation do apply).

The vendors include: 布雷克斯·瓶装火箭 (Orgrimmar), 发条助手 (Dalaran), 克拉格·摇塞 (Stormwind), 耶比托·乔巴斯 (Dalaran).

These vendors also sell the 蓝色战斗燃料 and 红色战斗燃料 that can enhance this companion pet with color and will provoke them to attack other Warbot's with an opposing fuel color.

This particular companion was previously a US-only reward for participating in a Mountain Dew giveaway that occurred between May 15th, 2009 and August 20th, 2009. I have no idea why I got this.
To think I was too lazy to go to Dalaran and pick one up yesterday...

I just checked all my other toons...they all have it, So now I have atleast 5 Warbots.
Anyone else getting them by mail?

So...I suggest not to waste the gold and just check your mailbox. (I'm from EU btw)

Edit: All the keys I took out of the mailbox and did not use dissapeared, this was before I "learned" the pet. I logged another alt of mine and quickly learned it before they took it away completely.

People complaining about others getting this pet need to be reminded of something. Warbot's best feature wasn't the ability to make you look special, it was being loaded with fuel and released to fight in massive swarms of red and blue.

Do not bemoan the pet becoming more common. Organize a massive battle in Trade District instead.

i just got this about a week ago, i am glad they brought t back as i drink Pepsi and really wanted this companion, i am also glad they are selling the fuel again so we can see these fiesty little guys go all Rock em' Sock em Robots on each other

A fighting robot fueled by delicious red or blue electrolytes

As a Battle Pet the 战斗机器人的点火钥匙 will be a 机械 Type Pet with the abilities:

意外防护 The Mechanical Passive Ability

飞弹 At level 1

毒烟 At level 2

强化护甲 At level 4

猛击 At level 10

雷区 At level 15

发射火箭 At level 20

These abilities are near identical to the 发条战士蓝色发条战士, 发条娃娃, and the 迷你雷神 but the 战斗机器人的点火钥匙 has 强化护甲 rather than 黏性手雷 at level 4.

There seems to be a bug at the moment that after buying the warbot and/or fuel and using the portal to Stormwind all said items disappear. Contacted a GM over this and got my items replaced and told it was fixed but that i should learn or mail the item before using a portal again. However i have just checked again after purchasing some fuel and found that this is not the case the items still disappear.

Just a warning to everyone, hopefully this gets fixed soon, not much fun not being able to move around while carrying fuel.

I was making good money buying these and reselling them. Bought a new one to sell this morning, only to find it's now soulbound.

You can only learn one of them (get a "can't learn anymore of this pet" error if you try to learn a second), and you can't cage them.

You can't sell the key back to a vendor either, so if you make a mistake and buy a second, you're out the 500 gold.

I personally think those of us that got these pets back in the day with the Mountain Dew promotion should have our tanks filled permanently for aesthetic reasons only. I don't care if the pet itself has better abilities, I just want something that says "hey, I did that promo" so that some kiddo can't run by and say "so what, I got the same reward for a little gold.. YOLO"

PS: I hate that term: YOLO ~ Countered really well with a term from MY generation... "No **** Cpt. Obvious!"

In case anyone is wondering, this pet is temporarily and accidentally disabled right now due to glitches associated with Patch 5.4.7. Blizzard claims they are working on a solution to restore everyone's pets (and mounts).
