I'm more interested in questions like:
Does it proc based on spell cast or spell hit?
Does the proc have an internal cooldown?
Does the damage stack if it procs more than once? Or just extend the debuff duration?
Is the debuff damage affected by +spellpower?
Is it really a curse and only subject to Remove Curse?
Is it affected by the target's shadow resistance?
Is it affected by caster +hit rating?
Can the debuff damage crit?
Does this debug trigger other items/talents if it procs and/or crits?
What is the effective DPS with 1.0 sec, 1.5 sec, 2.5 sec, 3.0 sec & 3.5 sec casting time spells?

This enchant does not proc on any 'spells' cast by protection paladins.

In case anyone is wondering, this chant adds approximately 35 dps.
If it were to proc exactly every 45 second internal cd that would mean it is up for 30 seconds out of every minute. The curse does 1100 damage on average so that is 2200 per minute. 2200/60 = 36.6667dps I rounded down to 35 dps because in real fights it wont proc immediately every time that it can. Mileage may vary, but I'm sure it will always be at least 30dps since its a 50% chance to proc. note: with the changes to dots being able to crit it may be possible that this can crit, in which case it could add more dps.
If someone could please compare this to 50 spellpower, and 63 spellpower that would be great. I know that depends on the class, but just a general comparison of this enchants value would be nice to know. I suspect the spellpower enchants are better but I can't fully wrap my head around why.

It says it requires lvl 60 weapon, is there and level requirements anyone has notices? like on some echants there is "no" restriction but you chant yer gear and you fine you'll need to lvl some more to use it's effect... so can anyone with a lvl 60+ weapon lvl use this?

I tried this enchant as I try to balance my weapon for PvP and raid, and it procs fair enough on my mage. There's only one thing I notice when putting this enchant on my dagger; It gives no fancy glow. Dunno if this could be due to the kind of dagger I have (
Spectral Kris
) as it also has a slight particle glow, but, um, not that the effect is that important, but a glowy weapon can be a nice addition. :P
Edit: Noticed by the way that my Molten Armor's effect when attacked can also proc the enchant's effect. :) Very nice.

Patch 3.3.0 PTR
Enchanting
* Black Magic: This enchantment now sometimes increases haste rating for the caster rather than inflicting the caster's target with a damage-over-time effect. It is also now triggered by landing any harmful spell rather than inflicting damage with a spell.

From my own testing, I had the enchant on my hunter's weapon for several days and never saw the haste buff proc once. Nevertheless, the wowhead gear score rating of this enchant is higher than any other survival hunter weapon enchant. Can someone else tell me if they saw this proc from non-caster "casts"?

Stupid question but I suppose it could proc from Rogue's Poison, Could perhaps perform well with "Focused Attacks" in PvE but I doubt it would outwin Berserking cause of the ICD.
But still would be fun to see it in effect, tho enjoy more repair costs, more hits/more durability cost.

250 haste for a echating is too much
for exemple:
Frostfire(whit out 250 haste)=3,5 s cast
Frostfire(whit 250 haste)=2,75 s cast
I recomend this for a mage, warlock or Holy Priest

Why couldn't this be available on Staves or 2 H weapons. They have no good enchants for my lock except Spell Power I really need Haste and/or Spirit right at this moment.

Items that can be used to increase haste:
Hand of Edward the Odd
(and/or
Blade of Wizardry
) +
Enchant Weapon - Black Magic
+
Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Minor Haste
for a total of 580 haste (61.55% @ L57). If you have
Lifeblood rank 7
(requires level 55) from Herbalism an additional 240 haste can be added (240 + 580) for 820 haste (87.02% @ L57).
Once level 60 is reached
Haste Potion
can be used for an additional 400 haste, for a total of (400 + 820) 1220 haste (122.00% @ L60).
Once level 70 is reached
Blade of Wizardry
can be used for an additional 280 haste.
Note, the multiplier for haste at level 57 is 10.6125 and at level 60 it is 10.00.
The haste multiplier for level 57 was found using the given "Chance on hit: Increases Haste Rating by 320 (33.96% @ L57)" from
Hand of Edward the Odd
.
The haste multiplier for level 60 was found using the given "Increases haste rating by 400 (40.00% @ L60)" from
Haste Potion
.
For more details see the "calculations" section below.
The proc from .......
Hand of Edward the Odd
........................... by itself is 320 ..... (33.96% @ L57).
The proc from .......
Enchant Weapon - Black Magic
................ by itself is 250 ..... (26.53% @ L57).
The effect from .....
Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Minor Haste
..... by itself is 10 ....... (1.6125% @ L57).
The effect from .....
Lifeblood rank 7
.......................................... by itself is 240 ..... (25.47% @ L57)
So if both the weapon and the enchant proc occur at the same time
(plus gloves enchant which is always present), and Lifeblood rank 7 is clicked, then the total = 820 haste (87.02% @ L57)
The proc from .......
Hand of Edward the Odd
........................... by itself is 320 ..... (32.00% @ L60).
The proc from .......
Enchant Weapon - Black Magic
................. by itself is 250 ..... (25.00% @ L60).
The effect from .....
Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Minor Haste
..... by itself is 10 ....... (1.00% @ L60).
The effect from .....
Lifeblood rank 7
.......................................... by itself is 240 ..... (24.00% @ L60)
The effect from .....
Haste Potion
............................................... by itself is 400 ..... (40.00% @ L60).
So if both the weapon and the enchant proc occur at the same time
(plus gloves enchant which is always present), Lifeblood rank 7 is clicked,
and you drink the haste potion at the same time then total = 1220 haste (122.00% @ L60)
List of haste weapons, enchants, potions, racial and class attributes (there might be more):
1.
Hand of Edward the Odd
2.
Blade of Wizardry
3.
Enchant Weapon - Black Magic
4.
Scroll of Enchant Gloves - Minor Haste
5.
Enchant Gloves - Haste
6.
Enchant Boots - Haste
7.
Lifeblood
(from Herbalism)
8.
Haste Potion
9.
Potion of Speed
10.
Elixir of Lightning Speed
11.
Elixir of Mighty Speed
12.
Swift Hand of Justice
List of some items or attributes that (although not haste in name) increase spell casting or attack speed:
1. Shaman
Bloodlust
2. Shaman
Heroism
3. Troll
Berserking
4. Rogue
Slice and Dice
5. Hunter
Rapid Fire
___ The values for healing in this table are not verified for patch 4.0+___
Lifeblood (from Herbalism):
Rank ..... Haste .......... Healing ..... Skill Level ..... Character Level
6 ............ 120 ............ 1200 ............ 375 ..................... 40
7 ............ 240 ............ 3600 ............ 450 ..................... 55
8 ............ 480 ............. ? .................. ? ........................ 65
___
Calculations:
How to find out by what percent 570 will increase haste by @ level 57.
a. Given: Increases Haste Rating by 320 (33.96% @ L57)
33.96% * 100 = 3396
3396 / 320 = 10.6125
Now use haste multiplier "10.6125" to calculate haste % @ L57.
320 haste * 10.6125 = 3396
Now convert back to a percent (3396/100) = 33.96%
Note: the haste multiplier at level 57 is 10.6125;
used the same method above and the given "Increases haste rating by 400 (40.00% @ L60)" to find out
haste multiplier at level 60 is 10.00.

Noobish question, which I'm going to test. I'm leveling a hunter and was looking for any non-ranged weapon enchants to help along the way. I noted that this enchant said that any spell dmg can cause this to proc.
Even though in 4.3 hunters no longer have mana, but focus, this may discount this enchant completely, but some of our attacks do indicate that they are indeed spells, thus wondering if it will proc while using said "spells"?
I intend to do some testing on a target dummy and will report back on my findings.

FYI: It's now a fixed value of 250 haste regardless of level, so the math below is now obsolete.

All your comment are too old. They are from BEFORE mist of panderia (mop) and BEFORE patch 5.1 Landfall.
So my question, the most important question because much more people play the mage class, frost mage yes. So my question is, doest work for a frost mage, like a frost mage lvl 58 that use blizzard in battlegrounds? I don't know if it work because all your comment was apply in some old patch so for the moment, I use Enchant Weapon - Accuracy (+25 hit, +25 crit on a weapon) on my wand.

Oh and this enchant seem important in patch 5.1 because pvp frost mage need 1st and foremost 6% of spell hit (hit rating) Check noxxic stat priority for pvp frost mage:
