If you are a tailor/enchanter, and have a friend that is an alchemist (or just buy the frost oil from the AH), I would definitely camp the NPC's for this recipe (hilsbrad foothills if you are alliance http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=2381, Dustwallow marsh for Horde http://www.wowhead.com/?npc=6567) If all else fails, buy it from AH

While the stats aren't that great for comparable level cloaks that can be found/quested for, the ability for an enchanter to make an item to readily DE for a large glowing shard is worth it.

This pattern could be sold at very high prices on some servers (23-30G).

This cloak is good if you've a character who likes ice resistance ;)

sooo.. alliance can't get this pattern without risking transferring it through the neutral ah and then ONLY if you have either two accounts or someone who can and will help you.. and there is no alliance equivalent... interesting...

The respawn timer seems to be from 10~ minutes to 2 hours.

I did some camping today, and my results were as follows:

1) I purchase the recipe from the vendor (I didn't have to wait for a spawn, it was already there)
2) after 8 minutes, second recipe spawns.
3) third recipe spawn 24 minutes later.
4) fourth spawn after 1h 1 minutes.
5) the fifth spawn was two hours later.

It might be the spawn timer can be as short as five minutes, but 8 is the shortest I've seen.

Is this still available? I have been sitting here checking for the pattern to be for sale for the last 3 hours every few minutes I check still not for sale. When was the last time someone purchased it? Beginning to hate this spawn timer.
