Thought I'd add in the healer's primary benefit other than the bonus healing: the extra mana.

Taking the median mana restored from using a super mana potion
(1800 + 3000) /2 = 2400 mana
2400 * 1.4 = 3360 mana with an alchemist's stone equipped
Using a potion every 2 minutes while raiding, the 960 extra mana equates to:

960 mana / (24 ticks of 5 seconds per 2 min) = 40 mp5

In summary, this trinket gives:
119 healing / 40 spell dmg
40 mp5 while chugging mana potions.

Not bad. Also, for health potions this means a median bonus of 800 hp per potion.

40% bonus to potions scales with better potions! You'll still be wearing these at level 80 using Ultra-Stupendous Crazy Alchemist Potions when you start raiding Naxxramas, unless blizzard makes flat-out upgrades.

This item is particularly interesting when comparing to the Caster equivalent (Sorcerer's Alchemist's Stone)

I play a Resto Shaman, but I like to switch to Elemental once in a while. The caster version has 63 dmg/healing, this one has 119 healing and 40 damage. By taking the healer trinket, I lose 23 spell damage, but gain a very impressive 56 +healing! I briefly thought about making the caster version since I could use it with both specs, but the Healing trinket clearly outclasses it for my purposes.

I figured I'd share, because I'm probably not the only one who had thought of this.

If you apply the same rule on all of your gear, you are gonna lose 15% or so on the total spell damage you can reach (par of level gear).
Although, most of the times the balance loot healers can get (wich is basicly what's discarded from the SD dpsrs) is usually very close in SD values to what healing items provide.

Anyways, im gonna get this trinket ASAP.

I have done 2 normal MgT and 1 heroic MgT and do all the SSO dailies everyday as available. I just got exalted today. So, it's about 17 days since patch available.

As server progress, more dailies are available per day, so it should be faster.

This is actually useful for dps or healing

This will probably be just as useful in the new expansion comes out and we get better potions.
