This describes the rare you get teleported to as 'powerful'. would it be safe to assume it is basically an upgraded version of the previous one, including every rare in the jungle, not leaving out the 'lesser' ones? I think that would be more practical, but then again, being able to seek out a weaker, then a stronger rare could prove useful too.

Got this item today tried it twice and both times it teleported me to Varyx The Damned which you need 5 players to spawn.

Hope it doesn't keep sending me there

Update - Tried it a couple more times and it took me to totally different rare spawns, It also puts you in a safe place where you don't pull the rare, for example it teleported me in a tree for one so just jumped down and killed the rare

It teleports you to closest rare to you, period. Even if it's one you already killed that day. So if you use it at Lions watch, you almost always end up at the stalker that like no one kills.

On the plus, you don't have to keep it. It lets you get a refund on it for 2 hours, even if it's been used.

you can buy this item use it 3 times then resell it tovendor for full refund then buy a new one and use that one 3 times and so on untill you find the hidden rare xemirkol for the predator title then u can return it for good and keep your gold

so ive been using this item every 15 mins for about 2 days now and the term "powerful" is very loosely used here it can port u to literally any rare in tanaan thats alive at the time you use it more often than not at least 2-3 out of 10 times i get ported to varyx the rare u need 5 people to stand in his beams to even b able to fight ive even been ported to him while standing right in front of him lol it hasnt sent me to the secret rare yet so im still busy porting myself around good way to farm resources and crystals and blues to DE an easy way to make back the gold you spent on the item if you dont use my above posted method of doing it for free, it does port you to rares you may have already killed that day if they are alive at the time you use it. gl and happy hunting

This item got hotfixed recently, it will send you to rares that you haven't killed yet. If no rares that you haven't killed are alive, the crystal will fail and go on cooldown.

This also becomes troublesome for people trying to get Xemirkol, since he has a spawn timer of sorts.

EDIT: Some poeple don't know how the cyrstal works. I will have to give a break down of how it operates:

Rares have a daily reset. When dailies reset, rares that you have killed before will become eligible for looting once more. The Crystal runs 2 checks, one for quest completition (YES/NO) and one for status (ALIVE/DEAD).

If the first check returns NO, it checks the second one. If the second one returns DEAD, the crystal will proceed to the next rare randomly (Master hunter) or the closest one (Hunter).
If all the Rare ''quests'' returns a YES, or a NO but dead, then the crystal will either teleport you to Xemirkol (provided that you meet the requirements) or fizzle (Xemirkol is dead/you don't meet requirements).

TL;DR: Kill rares on the same day you are trying to use the crystal, or you will be teleporting everywhere like a butt.

With todays hotfix, the crystal will no longer teleport you to a rare you have allready killed that day. That means, if you have already killed all the rare spawns today, the next teleport would send you to Xemirkol. Or so I thought....

Just used the Item and got a message, that no rare spawn could be located near my current position. 15 minute cd for nothing. Hopefully I find that sneeky ... soon ;)

If you're unlucky, this item can teleport you to a rare that has been pulled and might be even below 10% health. If you have a slow computer the rare might even be dead before you're loaded in.

Believe it or not, this item much like the lower rare quality version can fail as well..

Just my luck, I guess all 60 rares and Xemirkol in Tanaan were coincidentally defeated or not spawned at the moment when I used it as it said "The crystal pulses faintly, but fails to locate any nearby prey....."

I am not sure if it is this device or something else, but twice when I got teleported to a rare (killed it), I failed to get out of combat. I even feigned death (as Hunter) and was in combat the whole time I was feigning.

Once, while feigned, another nearby rare triggered my NPC scan, and that seems to have dropped combat. Currently, the only work-around seems to teleport again (hearth / garrison / shipyard / etc).

As of right now, using this item is the only known way to get to the rare demon Xemirkol. Killing him awards the Predator Achievement and title.

It seems that you'll also have to have completed the Jungle Stalker Achievement and be exalted with Order of the Awakened before successfully being teleported to him.

(I was ported to him when I used the crystal right after hitting exalted. I had been using the crystal previously nearly all day with no luck.)

Once you reach revered with the Order of the Awakened, you can purchase the 猎人大师搜索水晶.

Here's another tip: You'll spend 4,250 gold to get this item, along with trading in your 猎人搜索水晶. Notice though, there is a two hour window and you can sell that item back to the vendor. So use it each day to get the crystals, then sell it back. There really isn't much reason to have it other than going after rares, once you have the 丛林捕猎者 and Exalted with Order of the Awakened, you aren't likely going to need the 猎人大师搜索水晶 any longer, plus you'll still have your 猎人搜索水晶 anyway for finding rares nearby.

Realm hopping will most likely increase your chances of porting to him as he seems to be on a respawn timer.

Warning: Some have reported 召唤机械切割者5000 causing 泽米考尔 to despawn during the encounter.

This doesn't seem able to teleport you to Blackfang, a problem it shares with the rare version. I BELIEVE that it's because his cave is small and populated enough that there's no non-aggro space to put you in. Everywhere else you get ported, you're in a safe spot.

The Bleeding Hollow Horror has the same situation.

So here's what i know from my experience.

It will take you to a random rare spawn in Tanaan jungle, regardless of proximity, and it will not take you to any of the following:

Any rare you've already killed that day
Kazzak
Doomroller
Terrorfist
Deathtalon
Vengence
Varyx
Any of the Sabermaw Rares
Any of the event rares

The chance to get the secret rare for the predator title is completely random and has no relation to the reputations, or how many rares you've killed that day. If you have killed all viable rares, or there are none up the Chrystal will just fail.

PROTIP: Queueing for arena skirmishes (and playing it to the end to avoid deserter debuff) completely resets all your item's cooldowns. Even this one. So use it, kill rare, queue for skirmish, quickly complete it, leave, and use the crystal again, all in about 2mins (average of my waiting time + arena combat time).

Edit: Keep in mind that when I figured this out it was the Arena Skirmish Bonus Event, so queues might be shorter than normal...

Edit 2: If you're doing this, remember that there are people who actually want to play skirmishes for fun. Be respectful of others and play your best, don't just enter and die.

To get this title 掠食者 you must first:
Be Exalted with 觉醒教派
Have completed the 丛林捕猎者 achievement
Bought the 猎人大师搜索水晶 for 5000g and trade in your 猎人搜索水晶 from 觅晨者科塞克

After completing the above the rare mob 泽米考尔 will be unlocked for you to find via the 猎人大师搜索水晶.
Only If Xemikol is up will the crystal port you to him at 69.7,38.5 onto a platform overlooking the now broken dark portal. You will be phased into this area and given a debuff called 虚空陷阱 which will last for 10 minutes, loosing this debuff will take you out of his phase. You can reach the platform by foot or via Aviana's Feather however you will not see him.

Xemikol has 2.6mil health, has 4 main abilities and his casts can not be stunned, interrupted or CC'd:
腐朽冲击 - This deals a knockback which will send you flying, if you get knocked back off the platform Xemikol will despawn and you will need to use the crystal to try again. You can dodge the knockbacks as he stands still to cast them.
心灵震爆 - This deals damage to everyone in the area at around 70k
暗影冲撞 - This places a void zone on the floor, if you get caught in the crash it will stun you for a few seconds.
暗影地带 - After the Shadow Crash it will leave a Shadow Zone, this ticks as shadow damage for around 14k a tick. If you get caught in the crash and stunned this will probably kill you.
Xemirkol also Melee hits at around 12k
SO.. stay on your toes, keep moving, avoid shadow crashes and shadow zones, move out his Carrion Blast cone when he casts it and good luck.

A few things to know.
If you die you will phase out, you can run back and retrieve your corpse but the debuff will be gone and you will need to use your crystal again to try and phase back in.
This rare is not solo phased and other players can port in. Be aware that if another player phases in and tags the boss then he will be the only person to get the achievement if you are not grouped together. The tag is not shared like other zone rares.
Xemirkol will stay up on your server until someone kills him. If you died and had to wait to use your crystal again only to find that you have not been ported back to him next time around then someone has killed him while your crystal was on CD.

This rare has a very long respawn timer at around 24hours (although not confirmed as yet). If he is not up on your server then server hopping to some low pop realms will greatly increase your chances of finding him.

If you're a Druid, you can combine this with , have a friend hop on your back, and teleport yourself and your friend to the nearest rare. If your friend happens to be a Druid who also possesses this item, then I guess it's double the fun.

Last night i was using my 猎人大师搜索水晶 on cooldown, like usual.
Then, in the early morning, i got the teleport to 泽米考尔.
After some tired and numb moves, 泽米考尔 kicked me of the platform,
i used my 艾维娜之羽, to get fast on the platform again, but 泽米考尔 was gone.

I felt like crying, but i was thinking, don't lose heart little Druid.
The cooldown on 猎人大师搜索水晶 was gone, and i got the teleport again!
But, fore sure, 泽米考尔 kicked me of his beautiful platform again!
No, no, no, i was devastated, my brain told me, yes you are verry tired,
and yes, 泽米考尔 kicked you twice from his nice deamon terrace.

And at that point, you know how i felt. A ray of hope was the lucky number three.
The third time is the charm, why 泽米考尔 should give a failor like me not a third try?
And again for sure, i got the teleport a third time,
but now i was the Predator i used to be all the time!
掠食者 is mine and now there is a more in the Jungel!

Here is the fastest way to get to get the 掠食者 Achievement if we all work together:

First, Download the Premade Filter Add-on and search for ?xemirkol ?predator ?xem (use the question marks feature as part of the add-on to search for all the terms independent of each other). Once you join a group where he is up, you will phase into that server and have a 100% chance to be ported to him using 猎人大师搜索水晶.

Next, If you find 泽米考尔, make a Premade group. You can get the achievement in a raid, so don't be afraid to turn your group into a raid. Be sure that when you pull him, that you have a clear tank and that all pets and followers are not taunting or he will use 腐朽冲击 and knock people off.

Finally, remember that you cannot be summoned to the phase, so you have to use 猎人大师搜索水晶 to get to him (and have the 丛林捕猎者 Achievement and be exalted with 觉醒教派). Once you get ported to him, you will have the 虚空陷阱 debuff which is only 10 minutes, and since the crystal has a 15 min cooldown, joining a group with a cooldown on your crystal may result in you missing the kill.

For the frugal players out there, worth noting is that you can buy this item, use it for just under 2 hrs, then vendor it back and buy it back again (Effectively borrowing the item). Just remember to vendor it before the 2 hrs pass and you can save yourself 4k.

Was fighting Xemirkol today, the guy you need for the title, and he knocked me off his platform which killed me. I searched and searched but there doesn't seem to be anyway to get back to your body and I was forced to take rez sickness. Dumb as hell Blizz. But at least I learned to keep my back to the wall although that isn't easy.

I couldn't find this info among the comments here, so I'm hoping I'm not just spewing common knowledge.

You can buy another Hunter's Seeking Crystal after turning in the original one in order to purchase the Master Hunter's Seeking Crystal. They share the same CD, but since they perform different tasks, it's worth the money, in my opinion. For example, when I'm at the Iron Front trying to get to Grannok or Commander Krag'goth in their respective towers, I'll obviously use the Hunter's Seeking Crystal to teleport immediately to those area-specific mobs. Otherwise, the Master Hunter's Seeking Crystal is the go-to for apex crystal collecting or whatnot, because where I end up isn't important.

To new players just reaching the Tanaan end game now. Don't bother with this item. Save your gold. Blizzard seems to have greatly reduced the number of Tanaan instances now such that the placed is packed even in off peak periods, which is why the item is fizzling so often, and also bringing you to mobs that are already dead by the time you teleport there. This is only going to get worst with flying coming up in a matter of weeks.

I can confirm it doesn't prefer rares you haven't killed yet for 丛林捕猎者. I was finishing that up and saw 血环恐魔 on my minimap. Used the crystal to avoid the climbing and jumping to it, but it teleported me to 毁灭者阿格什 instead. Luckily my feather was up so I got back in time.

Facts about it:
- 3 sec cast
- Can be used in combat
- Does not break to DoTs (direct damage does cancel it)

=> Can be used as pseudo-bubblehearth if you can avoid being hit for 3 seconds.

Last time i checked, my Hunter's Seeking Crystal cooldown actually reseted after a random arena run,opened a ticket and they said its working as intented, but it keep reseting in arena.

For those who don't wanna really spend gold on this.
I usually buy it only when I'm doing quests in Tanaan Jungle, and sell it back and get the refund. You have 2 hours before selling back until then you can use it as much as you want :P
You don't really have to buy permanently and waste 4k gold on it.

There’s an issue at the moment with 猎人搜索水晶 and 猎人大师搜索水晶. This issue causes the items to sometimes port you to a creature that is not currently spawned. This is being investigated at the moment.

Teleports me to the same 6-8 rares all the time. Really frustrating. Also I get plenty of "no rare's found this time" which wastes a cooldown. This item is a waste of money especially now flying is available.

For those using this item or Hunter's Seeking Crystal to hunt for the Jungle Stalker Achievement / Predator title via repeated use of these items with realm hopping, there's a little trick that allows you to reset the cooldown on the item.

1. Use item hopefully to get to the rare you want.
2. Queue for a 2v2 pvp skirmish.
3. Either enter combat to avoid debuff or simply AFK out of pvp battle (entering PvP skirmish resets the cooldown on both items.)
4. Realm hop.
5. Use item.
6. Rinse, repeat.

Unnecessary for locating 泽米考尔. Moreso, the fact that it will transport to any unkilled rare anywhere in Tannan may actually complicate one's quest for the title.

Using 猎人搜索水晶 at Xemirkol's platform after having killed 钢吻 will guarantee transport to him if the other conditions are met (Unless the other conditions are, like the need to use the Master crystal, false.)

I don't know if it's just RNG or deliberate on the part of the devs, but this thing seems to really like porting me to rares that are a mere hair's breadth away from death. They often fall to someone else just before I can get within casting distance.

Edit: after more use, I see that the item works just fine. If it occasionally ports you to a rare that's dying just as you reach it, it's just some momentary bad luck, nothing more. It's a great item and works very well overall.

Do as I do, Purchase this for 1425 gold, find 3 rares and then sell it back to the store before the hour is up. Rinse and repeat until you find all the rares you need and you don't end up spending anything.

To get out of a cave i use this or join a kazz pug and wait for a summons. There is a small chance you might end up in another cave.

Some useful tricks/hints while hunting for Predator FoS and title.

In regards to Hunter's Seeking Crystal and Master Hunter's Seeking Crystal:

1) You can reset it's CD if you queue up for arena/skirmish
2) You can buy the item, use it to check if Xemirkol is up. If not then resell it at a full price to vendor (you have 2hrs to do it after the purchase) even if crystal is on CD. Rinse&repeat untill you get your FoS. I know it's only 800g @exalted rep but still.

Can anyone confirm whether or not this still works at 110? Before Legion, I used it 3 times and got Xemirkol twice but couldn't solo him. Since then, starting at 103 I've used it at least a dozen times and haven't seen Xermirkol since. Hopefully that's a coincidence - I'd hate to think that the spawn/title is only available at 100...

UPDATE: Eventually got the spawn and was able to kill him for the title. Not sure if the spawn rate changes at a higher level or it was just bad luck in my case.

This thing seems to be completely useless thus far....
Not lying, every time I use it, I get taken to either an already dead rare (too late :(), or some stupid event that has to be completed to summon the rare.
WTF?
Why is everything in this game camped?
I know that World of Grindcraft is almost 90% random luck, but after a while it starts to ruin the fun!

I thought i could use this to teleport to the hellbane rares. Nope, just one of the regular rares randomly.
Only reason to get it is if you want the 掠食者 title.
