Could the combo points being applied to additional Rips and Ferocious Bites make up for lost damage of Savage Roar?

After having read several other comments, I think this Glyph will be very useful. While it might not be able to produce the dps of a 40% SR, this glyph will be useful on solo play where fights don't last very long, and/or if multiple rips were applied to several enemies at once. Either way, I don't think it will be a big enough difference unless one is trying to min max everything. I will try and test this in WoD and update what I find.

I predict this glyph to become the next mushroom glyph. A glyph that everyone will take and use. Leading Blizzard to turn savage roar in to a passive that it should be. Just like Inquisition of Retribution paladins.
Price will be sky-high after launch but way worth it!

This glyph will make you deal 92.86% of normal savage roar damage (or a damage reduction of 7.14%). I personally find this to be disappointing. With such a large damage loss this will not be viable for people looking to min/max their dps.

in mind, I cannot see this glyph being useful. This is especially true for short fights (I.E. trash mobs in heroic/challenge mode dungeons), as you will most likely have the chance to stealth before every pull.

receives even more value through
Incarnation
(keep in mind that incarnation itself received a major buff through
Improved Rake
).
I seriously would love to remove Savage Roar from my rotation but as long as I deal more damage through its use I am unwilling to do so.

Warning! This post is long. Refer to the 5th (6th?) paragraph for the TL:DR.
A touch of napkin math. Bearing in mind this is from my roughly 525 level 90 druid using some random Recount data for a few basic figures, I figure there's some room for error here to be sure.
For me, Ferocious Bite (with Savage Roar up and 50 energy) crits for ~19k damage self buffed, *averaged*. According to the data I had, backed up by checking over character sheet numbers, it'll crit more than 70% of the time.
Average that out as being one free Ferocious Bite every 40 seconds over a 5 minute fight, for me that worked out to about 450 dps after adjusting the average damage to account for the 7.14% damage loss. The same data from Recount for that period of time showed about 3.4k dps - hardly anything to write home about, but as it was all simply from running around questing in Shadowmoon Valley, it'll suffice.
Running those numbers as is, I would be looking at a dps increase using this glyph. Granted, that isn't accounting for several very obvious variables ranging from an actual sustained dps rotation, the addition of cooldowns (especially Incarnation) and the use of the Savage Roar glyph, which with a little creative use of the previously mentioned talented cooldown will net you ~2 free Savage Roars over the fight. It also fails to account for the concept that you will most likely gain more than simply one free Ferocious Bite per Savage Roar duration, as every druid is familiar with the 'down time' of not quite having the time to FB but not needing to refresh Rip or Savage Roar at that moment, as well as a potential increase in Rip uptime and Rip on secondary targets.
For all the above rambling, the end result seems to be this: For questing/trash in both raids and dungeons, this glyph will most certainly be a dps loss compared to the Glyph of Savage Roar, but on boss fights will likely be roughly neutral damage wise.
I, for one, will quite happily use the attention I'd be paying to a mandatory 'passive' buff to instead make better use of Predatory Swiftness/Bloodtalons, which at least to me reintroduces a little more of the original hybrid nature to druids. The only down side to me is now the numbers won't look quite as flashy when I pull off that big 'All buffs aligned' FB crit, which I'm sure everyone enjoys to some extent.
As my druid is nothing more than an alt presently, when I eventually level the hairball up to 100 and get a little gear I intend to do this again (probably using an actual 5 man boss fight for data, shock!), but I expect similar results. Anybody else is more than welcome to do the same and confirm/deny this suspicion!

In case anyone is wondering, the buff of Savage Roar will not show up on your character in or out of combat with this glyph used.

I honestly flat out ignored this glyph early on figuring the damage loss just isn't worth it. After trying it out however I actually like it in a lot of situations mainly multi target fights like the twin ogres or imperator where you can safely bleed multiple targets without having to worry about refreshing SR can be very handy and a lot smoother I also haven't seen it mentioned any where but as far as I can tell, Savage roar has no impact on the lvl 100 moonfire tallent or treants, not saying that it makes it a better option but I think it is note worthy.. In "perfect play" I am sure it is a dps loss, especially single target. Realistically though this can be extremely helpful in a lot of situations.
