Calculation WITH the Guild perk bonus:
330 rep/boss
1st week LFR: 990
2nd week LFR 1980
4th week LFR 2970
8th week LFR 3960 REP
Need only 13 weeks of LFR clears (or: just over 118 boss kills total) to Exalted, starting at 2999/3000 Neutral, since the LFR release.

With people already running 13 bosses a week, or rather: 12 bosses downed just 6 days on Normal after release and 13/13 Heroic already downed (http://www.wowprogress.com/; http://www.wow-heroes.com/progress/eu/Lightning's%20Blade/), and considering the total Valor Points cap filled before 5.2, and including the weekly quest Rep with guild perk + Shado-Pan Assault Insignia turn-ins, it's safe to assume first Exalted to parade full 522 in 9 weeks (Bosses ONLY + Mr. Popularity), or -pushing it with human rep bonus- just 8 weeks since 5.2 release ( incl. guild perk + Shado-Pan Assault Insignia).

With careful planning, during the Darkmoon weeks, one can get extra Rep with the Caroussel buff (13*2*30=780 extra Rep per month).

I found this on the Throne of Thunder guide page, and since Fist did not mention it here I though I should do it:

Defeating mobs in the Throne of Thunder raid instance will earn you reputation with the Shado-Pan Assault. You will earn reputation from defeating bosses once a week on any difficulty, including LFR, but only on your first kill for the week, regardless of difficulty. This means you cannot run LFR and Normal/Heroic for double reputation, but it does mean that you can run LFR in order to get the reputation from bosses that your guild isn't killing on Normal mode yet.

Ugh..this grind is the worst. Doing the dailies in the ToT area should give you rep. Instead you'll have to clear ToT bosses over and over and over for weeks on end to get to exalted. I don't even want the exalted gear, I just like maxing out all reps.

With 6.0.2 How do you even gain rep with them as the quests I have do not offer rep at the moment?

Throne of Thunder is 100% soloable on every variant: LFR/Normal/Heroic. Normal/Heroic run on different weekly resets than LFR. So you can do LFR + Normal/Heroic mode, thus running twice a week.

As of 7.1.5, besides transmog gear, tabard and reputation achievements... is there any other reason to grind this faction for rep?

I am finding it very hard to get motivated to pursue this faction to exalted. I don't care about reputation achievements and the tabard and gear are not exactly enough to get me interested.

Just wondering if there is any other perk to getting SPA to exalted. Thank you.
