Introduction
****NOTE FOR MISTS OF PANDARIA AND BEYOND****
5.0 and 6.0 both reduced ability bloat so a lot of these specific macros are not needed, but there are a LOT of valuable macro samples here still.
The difference between a good druid and a great druid is mastery of primary abilities and mastery of ALL abilities. The problem is that druids have so many abilities and there are only so many button bars to assign them to. Things can get ugly really fast. Then even if you assign everything to a button on your interface, it doesn't do much good if you can't get to it quickly. The solution is a solid set of macros.
I made these macros to try and get a grip on all the druid abilities. We have so many tools available to us and keeping them all easily accessible is tricky. These macros help me a LOT so I thought I would share them. Some miscellaneous notes:
Always use ? icon except for mouse forward/back
Spec 1 is resto pvp, spec 2 is feral pve tank but these macros are pretty flexible
1-5 are not macro'd in tank spec cat/bear forms
Cat spec 2 1-5: Mangle, Savage Roar, Rip, Ferocious Bite, Faerie Fire Feral
Bear spec 2 1-5: Mangle, Pulverize, Demoralizing Roar, Growl, Faerie Fire Feral
Keep caster form macros 1-5 even in cat/bear form for spec 1 because then you have access to your heals faster
The following are clicked with the mouse because for me they don't need to be bound: Challenging Roar, Mark of the Wild, Hurricane, and in spec 2 only hibernate and tranquility because where R usually is I put feral charge
Primary Caster Form Abilities
Macros for 1-5, Q, E, R, and F will cast one of two spells depending on if the recipient is friendly or hostile. At the end, the macro defaults to the friendly spell to cover all other cases such as no target or target is neither friendly nor hostile. Holding a modifier key will send the spell to a different target:
No modifier - Target
Shift - Focus
Ctrl - Self
Alt - Target of Target

Cooldowns and Utility
Defensive Cooldowns
Key:
G
Pressing G uses Lifeblood (because if you're a druid and not an herbalist you're doing it wrong) and Barkskin. If you hold any modifier it also triggers Frenzied Regeneration and Survival Instincts. Many people will disagree on using both at once, but this simplifies things. Note that if all four are ready this button uses all four. In general this shouldn't happen because you should be popping Barkskin almost on cooldown when tanking and whenever taking damage in pvp.
#showtooltip
/use Lifeblood
/use Barkskin
/use Frenzied Regeneration
/use Survival Instincts
Offensive Cooldowns
Key:
B
Pressing B uses the second trinket (which will do nothing if it isn't a clicky trinket) and pops Tree of Life or Berserk
#showtooltip
/use 14
/use Tree of Life
/use Berserk
Fastest Form
Key:
Z
Pressing Z puts you in the best possible mode of travel or returns you to caster form if in flight form or mounted. Replace Running Wild with your mount of choice.
#showtooltip
/use Aquatic Form; Cat Form; Travel Form; Swift Flight Form; Running Wild; Travel Form
/dismount
Nature's Swiftness
Key:
X
Pressing X activates a macro very similar to the 1-5 form except the two spells are Healing Touch and Cyclone preceded by Nature's Swiftness. Currently pretty useless in tank mode.
#showtooltip
/use Nature's Swiftness
/use Healing Touch; Cyclone; Healing Touch
Speed Boost
Key:
C
Pressing C activates Darkflight if there are no mods. If pressed with a mod while in cat or bear form, activates Stampeding Roar. If pressed with a mod while NOT in cat or bear form, casts cat form and can be pressed again with a mod for Stampeding Roar.
#showtooltip
/use Darkflight; Cat Form; Stampeding Roar(Cat Form); Stampeding Roar(Bear Form); Darkflight
And for non-worgen the same thing, but no darkflight and thus no mods.
#showtooltip
/use Cat Form; Stampeding Roar(Cat Form); Stampeding Roar(Bear Form)
Powershift
Key:
V
Pressing V with no mods activates the popular "powershift" macro that will shift you back into your current form (or shift to travel form if in caster form), effectively clearing snares (and potentially roots) for a GCD. If a modifier is held the first trinket, usually the pvp CC clear trinket, is activated.
#showtooltip
/use 13; !Bear Form; !Aquatic Form; !Cat Form;
Mouse Buttons
Middle Mouse
If in cat or bear form, use Skull Bash with target modifiers like 1-5. If not in cat or bear form, use Cat Form so pressing again will Skull Bash. This macro stops casting if currently casting. If ctrl mod is held, ONLY stops casting. I had to take a slightly different format approach to get around the 255 char limit, including using just "Skull Bash" in the bear form portion. /use Skull Bash defaults to the bear form version.
#showtooltip
/stopcasting
/use Cat Form
/use Skull Bash; Skull Bash(Cat Form)
Mouse Forward
This is the really complicated part. We have here macros within macros. Like the movie Inception, if this gets too complicated for you then just ignore it but if you can get into it it will be very rewarding. The primary macro for the Mouse Forward button simulates clicking the mouse on another action bar button. On the button that the mouse click is simulated, we place another macro. The button that we simulate pressing is different depending on whether we are in Cat Form, Bear Form, or NOT in Cat Form or Bear Form.
The reason we do this is to exceed the 255 character limit and maximize the number of abilities bound to the Mouse Forward button. I want to maximize this button because it is so easy to press at all times. Here is the main macro, which will be bound directly to the Mouse Forward button:
#showtooltip
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton7
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton9
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton11
The tabs contain a breakdown of what each macro does depending on form. Note that in all forms, the ALT modifier toggles Bear Form.
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton7.
No mod - Innervate on self
Shift - Revive on mouseover, if no mouseover Revive on target
Ctrl - Wild Mushroom
Alt - Bear Form, cancel form if already in Bear Form
#showtooltip
/use Revive; Wild Mushroom; Bear Form; Innervate
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton9.
No mod - Lacerate
Shift - Thrash
Ctrl - Enrage
Alt - Bear Form, cancel form if already in Bear Form
#showtooltip
/use Thrash; Enrage; Bear Form; Lacerate
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton11.
No mod - Ravage if stealthed, otherwise Rake
Shift - Dash
Ctrl - Tiger's Fury
Alt - Bear Form, cancel form if already in Bear Form
#showtooltip
/use Ravage; Dash; Tiger's Fury; Bear Form; Rake
Mouse Back
Exact same format as Mouse Forward but with different abilities.
Main Macro:
#showtooltip
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton8
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton10
/click MultiBarBottomLeftButton12
And here are the sub macros. Notice that in all cases the ALT modifier toggles Cat Form.
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton8.
No mod - Innervate on self
Shift - Rebirth on mouseover, if no mouseover Rebirth on target
Ctrl - Wild Mushroom: Detonate
Alt - Cat Form, cancel form if already in Cat Form
#showtooltip
/use Rebirth; Wild Mushroom: Detonate; Cat Form; Nature's Grasp
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton10.
No mod - Maul
Shift - Swipe
Ctrl - Bash
Alt - Cat Form, cancel form if already in Cat Form
#showtooltip
/use Swipe(Bear Form); Bash; Cat Form; Maul
Set this to MultiBarBottomLeftButton12.
No mod - Target nearest and Pounce if stealthed, if not stealthed and out of combat Prowl, otherwise Shred
Shift - Swipe
Ctrl - Maim
Alt - Cat Form, cancel form if already in Cat Form
#showtooltip
/targetnearestenemyplayer
/use Prowl; Pounce; Swipe(Cat Form); Maim; Cat Form; Shred
/cleartarget
