Blackwing Descent
"Nefarian and his warped attempts to create a new breed of dragon were thought to be defeated after his death in Blackwing Lair. Bastion of Twilight
"The Bastion of Twilight stands as a dark symbol of the Old Gods' burgeoning power on Azeroth. Now to the guides purpose, to discuss how to gain each achievement! As well as brief description of each boss!
(I know it looks vague on some achievements but that is purely because of the fact that they are so easy to gain or the fight (if it a heroic achieve) has a very ill-difference to it)

Strategy: Few differences...for one,

which will, in basic terms, wipe the raid. So, at 25%, ALL DPS must focus on the add and kill it before the cast finishes! Back to the meteors, be sure to get out of the meteors way or you get blown by 75K damage, as well as the fact that there will then be "S" shaped fire spots called
that deal damage as an aftermath. It's easy to avoid if you keep your distance, but, being on them is insta-death, for 55K a second is hard to survive.

Lastly, to have one get hit by

must turn Magmatron away from everyone else.
Something to note: This can be done on multiple runs!
The only -hard- part is the fact that there is a point where all four constructs are active at once.

Description: Defeat O.D.S in Blackwing Descent on Heroic Difficulty
Strategy:

: The player marked with Acquiring Target will be rooted, meaning everyone else needs to move to avoid the flamethrower.

: Transforms the lightning rod into an AoE that hits the entire raid, dealing less damage the closer you are to the affected target.
熔喉
: Turns a power generator into a bomb, causing it to expand, then detonate in a large explosion that encompasses close to a fourth of the room.
剧毒金刚
: Warps the raid into the center of an existing chemical cloud, which can potentially cause a wipe if poison bombs are out, and happen to be in or near the cloud at this time.

Description: Kill 12 Aberrations within 10 seconds on the Maloriak encounter in Blackwing Descent and then defeat Maloriak.
Strategy: Every now and then, the boss will throw a red vial at his concoction, which will allow him to use the ability

to summon .. the tricky part about this is that if these adds are within melee range of each other, they gain a buff called

which, if all 12 stack together, makes them unkillable even at max level. So, what must be done is the raid is to split into 4 groups, (2 people per group in 10 player, 5 in 25player) with at least one taunter per group to be in opposite corners of the room. (The MT and Healer for MT are to stay at boss).
This allows the buff on the adds to only stack once or twice, instead of 10-12 times
There are two ways to do this
Hit the boss until he summons all the adds at once, and then scramble to kill them all individually as the taunter of each group taunts them to each other. This is the quickest way to earn the achievement but at the same time the most wipe-heavy one.
Sit and wait for the boss to use the red vial over the course of several minutes. This will cause 2-3 to spawn at a time, and alternate which group taunts the adds to them. Once 12 have spawned, kill them all quickly. This is the longest but safest way.

Description: Defeat Atramedes in Blackwing Descent without any raid member's sound bar going over 50%
Strategy: Before the fight, assign one person to use the gongs.
Avoid any of his AoEs that you can..they are all visual and slow so it should be easy to avoid. Melee should stand as far away as possible to avoid them easier. when someone is nearing 50%, the person using the gongs must quickly click on one. Usually gongs are used to interrupt a powerful spell of his, but with decent enough DPS you should be able to down him before you run out of them.

Strategy: Only changes are that

Description: Damage Nefarian below 50% health before he lands for the final confrontation and then defeat Nefarian in Blackwing Descent.
Strategy: Defeat Onyxia quickly. Her attack as of now does no damage. Once she is dead, Nefarian will land. Save your cooldowns though, as shortly after he'll raise up and cover the floor with lava. when he does this, quickly get on the pillars and kill the adds that are on there, as their AoE is deadly. Once he lands again, pop all DPS cooldowns and burn him before he can raise again.

Description: Defeat Halfus Wyrmbreaker after defeating two drakes within 10 seconds of each other. The Emerald Whelp pack counts as one drake for this purpose.
Strategy: It is recommended to have two groups with 1 tank, 1 healer, 3 DPS. Release both the (slate drake), and the (storm rider), and then assign each group to kill one of them, Group 1 slate, Group 2 storm, or vice versa. As of 6.0.2 this should be an easy achievement as the drakes go down fast now.
Once both are dead, kill the boss.

Description: Defeat Halfus Wyrmbreaker in Bastion of Twilight on Heroic Difficulty
Strategy: Basic change...all drakes are active...GET THREE, yes three, THREE tanks! Tanks are to keep switching aggro after each gain 4-5 stacks until 3 drakes are dead.
The first two drakes you pull HAS to be Nether Scion and Storm Rider, save Slate for last...after two drakes die though, the fight is basically just like normal mode.

Strategy: The fight requires two tanks because now when the one reaches 5 stacks of a debuff, it uses an AoE that sends him and anyone near him into the twilight realm. And the only other difference is adds spawn that AoE you until the battle is over.

Special note for battle: The 4 councils fuse together to form the monstrosity...its health is based on how much health is left combined from the four NPCs...
Example: 1000K + 2000K + 2300K + 1400k = Boss will have 7700K health.
What you want to do is split the teams into two groups...one tank, one heal, 3 dps take one, while the rest take the other..you want to try and burn them at the same time so it's roughly 25% and 27-33%...do this and the boss will have little-to-no health
As of 6.0.2, it is possible to get the fused form down to 4 health, making it incredibly simple to gain the achievement

Strategy: 25-player: "screw it, BURN HIM!" (basically ignore the ice)

Description: Defeat Cho'gall in the Bastion of Twilight on Heroic Difficulty
Strategy: Other than him having double health, there are quite a few significant changes.
For one,
now gives him a straight 5% buff for a minute so you must interrupt anyone MCed by
right away. The adds that usually get absorbed into him now must be brought to 1% because for every 10% absorbed, at the end of 10 seconds they increase his power by 5%. One still spawns for 10-player (two for 25-player) and with the right DPS you should be down to phase 2 by the 5th spawn...
Phase 2 gains a new add. every 25-30 seconds a

spawns. They can't be killed so you must avoid them at all costs.
He will run to the trapdoor at 2% and won't die until he is on it, where it then shatters and leads you to Sinestra (HEROIC ONLY!) so to avoid a potential wipe, keep him near the door at 4% health.

Strategy: First off..hm..what would happen if you switched the raid back to normal while on her lair..?
I must admit, i have never attempted Sinestra Heroic..so until i do...i have to put a placeholder until i make a great strategy:

Phase 1 is easy enough. Sinestra starts at 60% and has a debuff which causes all damage she does to be reduced by 40%. Getting her to 30% starts phase 2. We bloodlusted at the start to get out of this phase quickly as bloodlust is relatively useless in phase 3 due to the essence of the red buff. Her P1/P3 abilities of note:
- Flame Breath: ~50K to entire raid P1, ~85K P3 after resistances
- Wrack: Dispellable dot with 60 sec duration which jumps to 2 raid members with the remaining duration, when dispelled. We were able to have this dot last up to 20 seconds on the first player and 20 on the next two, dispelling it with 10 left afterwards. Note that you cannot bubble/ice block it off (it will jump to 2 players if you do), however a DK with AMS up can immune it if they happen to be one of the targets when it jumps, having this happen makes it much easier to deal with. A new 60 sec application of the dot will occur just before the first series of dots fall off, it's imperative that dispellers are aware who has a new wrack immediately as players can have multiple copies and dispelling this early is an instant wipe. This requires macro, vent call or very well set-up add-ons.
- Twilight Slicer - two twilight orbs will spawn at random locations in proximity to players. After two seconds, a beam will come out from each orb and target a player. After two more seconds the orbs will become active and do approximately 30K/sec damage to players within a few yards, and will be connected by a twilight slicer beam which does 60K/0.5s damage to players hit by it. There is no debuff that players can use to see they have an orb attached to them, they must visibly see the orb beam targeting them and get out of the raid immediately. Bigwigs and other boss mods attempt to detect who has orbs because the orb has an aggro table and targets the player it's going to stick to, but this is unreliable. The two players will generally run halfway to the back of the room, criss-cross each other, then run back towards the raid reaching it just as the orbs dissipate in order to maximize DPS. Do not use aggro dropping abilities if an orb targets you.
Twilight Whelp spawn 5 at a time every 50 sec. These must not be DPSed until phase 2 and will be off tanked. The whelps melee for about 10K on tanks and have a breath which applies Twilight Spit.
Phase 2 is the most complex: Sinestra heals to full health and gains a mana shield which absorbs all damage done and converts mana to health. Calen appears and puts up his barrier which the raid needs to stand in to avoid being one-shotted by twilight extinction. What we did at this point was we had only melee DPS on the whelps and ranged DPS focus on Sinestra. We AOEd the first 10 whelps down at the back left corner of the room just inside the barrier, then when they respawned we took them to the back right and AOEd them all down there (whelps cannot die on top of the seeping twilight essence pools left behind when they die the first time, or they respawn again). All whelps need to be dead before the first Twilight Spitecaller add (2.9M HP) spawns.
For the back: We had two healers dedicated to Calen/melee, and our ret pally used Lay on Hands on him for a free million+ healing. The adds spawn about every 40 sec and are DPSed exclusively by melee. This add will cast an ability called Unleash Essence which will pretty much wipe the raid if it is successfully cast. However, interrupting this ability with a standard interrupt or stun effect causes the add to gain the Indomitable buff, doing a 40K AOE and becoming immune to all CC (this effect can be shiv'ed or tranq shotted off). To interrupt this cast, we had two rogues with glyphed gouge doing a rotation. Hungering cold, rogue blind, hunter scatter shot and death grip can also interrupt the cast safely as backup. Each add must die before the next add becomes attackable. Melee DPS should take next to no damage as no casts should get off and the adds don't hit terribly hard (20K on a tank).
For the middle: Twilight Drake adds with ~4M HP will spawn every 40 sec or so. These were solo tanked and mostly ignored by DPS for the entirety of phase 2. They have a shadow breath and melee relatively hard. The tank handling these must not have stacks of Twilight Spit or the breath can one-shot them.
For the front: Ranged DPS will split evenly between the eggs and DPS Sinestra. When her mana drops to half she will remove the shield surrounding the two Twilight Eggs to restore her mana to full, making the eggs attackable. All ranged DPS must then immediately kill the eggs. When both die, phase 3 starts.
Phase 3 is the same as phase 1 positioning-wise.
The remaining spitecaller add is DPSed on the go by melee as they move to the front and should be dead ASAP. The 3 twilight drakes are burned down by ranged DPS as soon as they are in range. The first drake should die just as the third drake is targetable. Breaths, Wrack and orbs are handled the same way, except Sinestra no longer has 40% reduced damage and starts at full HP.
Calen dies and gives the raid Essence of the Red, giving the raid more or less infinite mana and 100% haste for the 3 minute duration, the two remaining drakes should die in seconds with this buff up.
The most complicated part of the phase is dealing with whelps. We would allow 10 whelps to spawn, then the whelp tank would run to the wall on the right side of the room right back into the eggs, about 40-50y out of melee range. All ranged DPS would then turn and AOE the whelps down, melee would stay on Sinestra. This strat had the raid as a whole moving the least during this phase, as the only players needing to move were the whelp tank and players with orbs who would be far away from them. This also allowed the whelp tank to generate enough aggro on them for it to persist through their first death so that the tank could run back into melee range of Sinestra - when the 10 whelps respawned, they would run to this tank in melee and the entire raid including melee cleaved them down before the next new set of whelps would spawn. We did a tank swap at this point so the new whelp tank had no debuff stacks and the old one wouldn't be 2-shotted by Wrack if they happened to get it. We did two rounds of whelp kills this way, then the remaining whelps were off tanked and ignored for the rest of the fight. The essence of the red buff fell off with the boss at about 25% and we blew all remaining cooldowns to finish her off before the room became too filled with seeping twilight essence pools. Hymn/tranq/bubble sac were used for every breath.
The big keys to downing this boss are:
- Dealing with whelps properly and having the specific people assigned to them DPSing them when called
- Dealing with wrack properly and not dispelling it too early/late
- Killing both twilight eggs in a single pass without their shield going back up, this is a wipe if it occurs
- Not screwing up orbs, player reaction time and individual responsibility plz

First off, stacking the debuff to 7 takes at least 70 seconds, which means you cannot kill Rohash and Anshal first, then move to Nezir since you have to kill him within 1 minute after the first death.
This means that you need to keep rotating raid members between platforms every ~5, ~15 or ~25 seconds to keep the debuff running, since there always needs to be at least 1 player per platform to prevent being silenced. You can do either 5, 15 or 25 seconds, depending on how fast you plan on stacking the debuff.
You rotate every ~5, ~15 or ~25 seconds, because the debuff is applied every ~10 seconds and the debuff lasts for 35 seconds. Therefore each raid member has to be sure to be on Nezir's platform before there are 5/15/25 seconds left on their debuff to add another stack.
I think the tricky part will be timing when to start gathering the debuffs. You could start by bringing Anshal and Rohash down to 5% and Nezir as low as possible (due to his bigger hp pool) and then start stacking debuffs. You might need 2 dps groups for finishing off adds, unless your dps group can manage to kill all adds within 25 seconds and switch back. You will need keep 2 people for switching between Nezir and Rohash as usual.
Be very focused on moving Anshal out of healing circles, but this should always be the case anyways.
For getting the 7th stack applied to the entire group, I'd advise you to switch out immediately after obtaining the stack. This way, the half of the raid that is still on 6 stacks will get their debuff on the next application, which leaves you with ~25 seconds on the first group's debuff. In other words, this gives you ~25 seconds to kill off the last boss.
The first group getting 7 stacks can start killing off Anshal and Rohash when they've switched with the second group.

Great guide! I love that you've taken the Glory... series and made guides for the missing metas.
Quick notes:
The tables in the "Brief History" section do not spread fully across the tabs (appears to be ~50%).
Several sentences don't start with capitalization; you may want to check on that as well as spelling, or email it to me in a .txt file and I'll do it for you.
Linking the spells increases the usefulness of the guide tenfold, but right now they're just text.

It feels a bit more like a summary to me than a guide. A lot of the achievements are merely summarized instead of explaining how to get them and strategies that can be useful.
Also, it comes off as slightly unprofessional with the large use of caps lock and lack of starting capitalization. If that is what you're going for, that is totally fine.
As for some specifics, Halfus does not necessarily have the same drakes up. It changes weekly and so the strategy for The Only Escape might be different. On his heroic I would explain the strategy for pulling drakes. For Heroic V and T, I suggest mentioning that people can go into the shadow-realm to kill the adds that AoE.
For Ascendant Council, I would add explicitly that the next set of bosses come whenever one boss reaches 25%. You imply it, but don't specifically say it and that would be helpful. For their heroic, I would also add that those with the debuff should stay away from other players as anyone near them gets another debuff. Also, I would add that no one can touch the orb in phase 2.
For Conclave of Winds, I suggest adding to the importance of the Storm Shield as well as a kiting strategy for the adds. For Heroic Al'akir, although the changes are minimal, they are still very important. I suggest you discuss a strategy to combat him.
Overall, step up from summarizing. The stuff you give details on his fantastic, just give details to everything. Add in strategies on how to do the achievements and this will be a great guide.
