This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the Eonar the Life-Binder encounter on Normal Difficulty in Antorus, the Burning Throne. Changes to the fight for Looking for Raid, Heroic and Mythic difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties. The Mythic Guide has moved to its own page; click here to see the
Mythic Eonar Guide
.
Eonar the Life-Binder is not your usual encounter. The fight requires players to defend the Essence of Eonar, which lays in the middle of a vast arena, from waves of legion enemies that spawn in via portals that activate throughout the encounter. The fight requires a large amount of AoE DPS and crowd control to defeat the waves of adds, as well as coordinated group movement and positioning to ensure the raid is in the correct places at the correct time.
Eonar the Life-Binder can be accessed after defeating the Garothi Worldbreaker; available November 28th on Normal / Heroic difficulty, December 19 on LFR.
Mythic Eonar the Life-Binder World Firsts
Loot
Loot starts at 915 on LFR, 930 on Normal, 945 on Heroic.

Quick Tips
Overview
– The forces of the Legion will warp in and charge at Eonar's Essence and attempt to destroy her outright. Players must defend Eonar until she can gather her energies and strike back at her attackers.
Tanks
–
Fel-Powered Purifiers will divert from their path to Eonar to engage players in combat once damaged.
Fel-Infused Destructors will fire at a much faster rate unless engaged in melee combat.
Move away from other players when targeted by
.
Damage Dealers
–
Most creatures are oblivious to your attempts to thwart their advance.
Many of your crowd-controlling effects will work here.

Healers
–
Most creatures will not turn to engage players. Instead, the Paraxis will fire off many spells that will damage the raid.

Eonar the Life-Binder Overview
To start the fight you interact with the Essence of Eonar. This will start spawning the waves that you need to battle against for the rest of the encounter.
The Paraxis will also be present, flying around overhead whilst sending down damaging spells onto the raid.
The objective of the fight is to defeat the Paraxis via killing legion units.
Each time you kill a legion unit, it will give Essence of Eonar energy.
When she reaches 100% energy, she will cast
生命之力
, which will deal 25% health to the Paraxis and deal a good chunk of damage to all active adds in the encounter area.
This will then reset her energy and the fight will continue from there. You need to have her cast this 4 times to destroy the Paraxis, then you win!
The Adds
Understanding the enemies you'll be fighting throughout the fight is key to your success, as certain adds hold a much higher ranking in your DPS priority.
The enemies you'll be fighting can be separated into two different categories, the small adds and the big adds.
Small Adds
All of these adds have no abilities. They ignore players and just march on towards the boss.
All of these adds can be, and should be, crowd controlled in lots of different ways.
Slows, knock backs, grips, displacing spells, stuns and roots even work for a limited time. You need to utilise these effects to stop the legion forces from reaching the Essence of Eonar.
If they reach her they'll attack her until either you kill them or they kill Essence of Eonar, at which point you wipe instantly.
You are unable to heal the Essence of Eonar, so any damage taken by her will remain until the end of the encounter.
There are four different small adds, each with differing health pools and movement speeds.
Fel Lords move slowly but have more health.
Felguards move at a normal pace and have a medium amount of health.
Fel Hounds move fast but have a smaller health pool.
Finally, you'll have Volant Kerapteron bats that have a normal movement speed and health pool, but fly, ignoring the usual routes that adds need to take to get to Essence of Eonar.
These bats can be intercepted by ranged DPS when they fly past the middle pathway.
Fel Lords move slow
Felguards move at a normal pace.
Fel Hounds move fast.
Bats fly, limiting the time you have to attack them.
Big Adds
The Obfuscator will
隐形
nearby adds preventing you frombeing able to directly target them.
The big adds have more health and have abilities the raid needs to deal with.
The
邪能干扰器
cannot be tanked or crowd controlled. He will run towards Eonar and whilst doing so he will cause all nearby adds to become untargetable through his constant
隐形
aura.
Players can AoE nearby
隐形
ed adds with targeted spells such as Flamestrike, or you can cleave off of the Obfuscator and onto the adds with spells such as Chain Lightning, but you cannot target them directly with spells.
This also means you can crowd control the adds through AoE affects, causing them to fall behind the Obfuscator and therefore fall out of range its
隐形
ing ability.
Whenever the Obfuscator is active, you just want to kill it as soon as possible.
If it isn't focused down by your DPS, it'll remain active for a long period of time due to its large health pool and the irritating
隐形
aura can cause adds to slip by the raid and eventually reach the Essence of Eonar.
The other large add is the
注邪毁灭者
.
Interrupt the
注邪毁灭者
's
火炮轰击
.
This add needs to be tanked, but this isn't possible initially.
The add will move over to set location away from the portal before standing still and then engaging nearby players in melee combat.
This means a tank needs to remain nearby to take the melee hits, which will otherwise nearly one-shot non tank players
If you do not engage the Destructor in melee combat, it will cast
火炮模式
, which will spew bunch of rockets at the Essence of Eonar, dealing significant damage to her.
This add also has a nasty trait where you will not be able to generate any threat on it until he reaches its position.
This means that any melee DPS are potentially going to get slapped in the face if they hit him before the tank does.
Basically, you need to make sure the tank has threat before engaging the Destructor in melee combat.
Whilst tanking the Destructor, it will occasionally cast
火炮轰击
. This will throw a missile at the Essence of Eonar doing a fair chunk of damage.
You can interrupt this, and you should, just to make sure the Essence of Eonar stays as healthy as possible.
In most cases, the Obfuscators should be killed first, followed by any nearby small adds and finally the
注邪毁灭者
should be killed.
In larger raid sizes you may wish to spread your DPS into two roles, with strong AoE DPS focusing on little adds, and strong single target DPS focusing on Obfuscators and
注邪毁灭者
s.
The Paraxis
The last enemy you'll be dealing with is the Paraxis, which is flying around overhead.
邪能之雨
debuff players mustmove away from the raid.
This ship cannot be engaged in combat directly by players, instead it will be showering the raid with abilities that they'll need to deal with.
It will be dealing small bursts of damage to the raid throughout the fight via its
帕拉克希斯号齐射
.
This forces players to stay in range of healers, as all players will need some healing attention every now and then.
The Paraxis will also cast
邪能之雨
, which will debuff a few players.
This will mark them with a circle with an 8 yard radius. After a few moments, the player and anyone within their circle will take a nasty burst of damage.
There is no way to completely avoid the damage from
邪能之雨
. Players instead need to make sure that they move away from other players when they are targeted.
Setting up a rule can help minimise the chances that any extra players take damage from the
邪能之雨
.
We recommend that if you are targeted, you go towards the edges of whatever path you are on, whilst other players can hang around in the middle.
The Arena
The encounter space plays a key role in the encounter, as players will need to traverse the encounter area to make their way to the adds that spawn.
A good way to look at this room is to see that it is just three paths which all lead towards the Essence of Eonar. A lower path, middle path and a upper path.
Each of these paths serve as a spawn point for the legion gateways in which all the adds come flooding through, aside from the Volant Kerapteron bats, which have their own portal mid-air next to the upper path.
To help you navigate this arena, several jump pads are active.
Running onto these will throw your character from one path to another.
All players have access tothe
生命怒放
extra action button.
Additionally, you have access to the
生命怒放
extra action button that you can use with a 30 second cooldown.
This will throw you up in the air and allow you to glide around at speed. You can either float down or reuse the extra action button mid-air to jump down to a targeted location.
Reusing
生命怒放
is the most efficient form of movement, as you travel much more quickly as you fly back to the ground.
Make use of both the jump pads and
生命怒放
to make sure you get to new portals that spawn, so you can deal with the adds and not become overwhelmed.
生命怒放
allows you to jumphigh into the air and glideon a 30 second cooldown.
Portal Spawn Orders & Strategy
New add spawn locations will be displayed on your minimap.
All the portals that spawn throughout the fight do so in the same order and at the same location each and every time you pull the boss.
Although you'll only be dealing with a single portal at a time at the beginning of the fight, later stages will have adds spawning from two or more portals that open simultaneously.
The raid must be prepared to split into two equal groups, each with a tank, half the healers and an even mixture of DPS.
These groups will then have to travel to separate portals to stop the legion forces from reaching the Essence of Eonar.
All portals spawn on a set timer. When a portal activates, an icon will appear on the minimap. Alternatively, Boss Mods such as Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs will give players advanced notice on which portal is spawning next.
Following the icons on the Minimap or instructions given via boss mods should give sufficient information on what portals are coming up, allowing the raid to move in advance and deal with the legion threat.
A table which shows the order in which the portals spawn, what adds spawn with them, and our advice in how to deal with each portal is included here.

Raid Finder Difficulty
Alongside numerical changes, in which the damage from the abilities has been severely reduced, there are a few mechanical changes to the Eonar the Life-Binder encounter on Raid Finder Difficulty.
The Paraxis spell:
邪能之雨
has been replaced by
流星风暴
.
Instead of targeting players, this now causes a few zones to appear in the encounter area.
After a few moments, the zones explode, dealing damage to anyone who stands within them.
Players should actively move out of these zones to reduce incoming damage.
Two different adds have been removed from the encounter on Raid Finder Difficulty.
The Volant Kerapteron bats and
邪能干扰器
s are no longer present in the encounter.
Heroic Difficulty
Alongside numerical changes, in which the damage from the abilities has been increased, there is a few mechanical changes that have been made to the Eonar the Life-Binder encounter on Heroic difficulty.
When targeted by
末日之矛
, kite it away from the raid and path of any enemies.
The Paraxis has a new spell:
末日之矛
.
Face
邪能净化者
s away fromthe raid when
邪能横扫
is cast.Tank away from any adds.
This creates a beam of fire that will fixate and chase a nearby player. This leaves fire in its path that deals a large amount of damage to anyone who stands within it.
The fire also increases the adds movement speed by 30% whilst they are standing within it.
While targeted, you want to kite the fire out of the path of the adds, by having it go along the side of the path rather than the middle.
This will help keep the adds as slow as possible.
An additional add will spawn from select portals:
邪能净化者
s
邪能净化者
s need to be tanked. They have a
净化
aura making all nearby adds immune to all crowd control effects.
Tanks want to pick this add up and move it away from any small adds.
The
邪能净化者
s also cast
邪能横扫
at the tank. This a short range frontal cleave that deals a moderate amount of fire damage to all players hit.
Tanks want to make sure they don't face the
邪能净化者
s at any members of the raid.
The
邪能净化者
s take the last spot on the DPS priority list, as all other adds should be killed before them.

The portal order is different in the video than in the guide; which is correct? :) ty!

If you kill the bosses out of order, it prevents Eonar from spawning and you cannot start the fight. To correct this you need to have some people leave the raid instance and form a new raid group and reenter the raid. That will allow you to click Eonar.

One crucial piece to emphasize: focus on the
注邪毁灭者
so that they can be taken down ASAP. Also a good idea to have tanks hold aggro on them and have folks counterspell their
火炮轰击
.
Very cool, unique fight. I don't recall any other bosses in WoW resembling a tower defense type game.

This is my advice for those that, like me, have bad reflexes but are trying to solo it in LFR during BFA. I did it with my fire mage, ilevel 448
Check the Arena map in this page so you know where MID, LOWER, UPPER spawn locations, and the jump pads are. Be warned that Surge of life has a cooldown, and if you are not in a place high enough, you wouldn’t reach the place you want to go, besides, if you are under another structure, you can’t use it
After killing the mobs in a spawn point, the fastest way for me to move around was like this:
When in MID use Surge of Life to go down to LOWER
When in LOWER use the jump pad to go up, run around to reach the other jump pad, and you’ll be sent to the stairs going to UPPER, just run up and you’ll get the mobs in time
When in UPPER use Surge of Life to go down to MID
For LFR the spawn order is:
MID
LOWER
UPPER
MID
LOWER
UPPER
MID
At this point there would be a spawn somewhere else but it wouldn’t matter
Be on the spawn point before the mobs star pouring because the small ones would ignore you, and attack Eonar, use any kind of AOE to kill them and also to get the attention of the big one, which is ranged, I used Living Bomb for this

Just thought I would try solo it on LFR seeing as I was after some other boss mogs. SUPER easy even as an UH DK.
1: Stayed at stairs killed the first wave there
2: Flew down to next lot and killed
3: Went to top walkway using the gliding platform and killed
4: Glided back down (using the glide ability for the event) to the start where the stairs are and repeated.

This encounter is absolutely terrible to solo. Does anyone know if there is some addon that tells you where to go?

I have never actually seen these portals she tells you to rush to. I've accidentally stumbled into them being confused as to why I've been transported somewhere, and other times I've stood near where I was accidentally transported only to have nothing happen and fail the encounter.
This has occurred on 3 different computers so I've opted to blame blizzard.

I just soloed LFR (certainly not bragging lol) Eonar on my Troll Priest with SL gear at ilvl 245.
I was a bit apprehensive as I remember what a pain she was but I went Yolo and my yolo was denied because it was so damned easy.
My method -
Preparation:
Start the encounter (Click the tree with sparkling mist near the middle left side of the instance).
Then run / fly back (using the fly ability) to the stairs at the start where you entered the area.
Encounter:
1) Kill all the mobs at the start near the stairs where you came into the zone.
2) Use the flight ability to fly down to the platform to the right of previously mentioned stairs (if you're looking INTO the zone rather than out) and wait for mobs to spawn and kill em all.
3) Use the elevation boost (which is on the edge of that platform - it's a small square platform with wind running along it) which is facing the platform above you to get back up.
Head towards Eonar (the tree with sparkling mist you clicked to start the encounter). Just before you reach her fly up to get to the platform above her - Kill all the mobs.
4) Head back to the stairs then repeat this one more time.
There is actually no need to even enter the Paraxis to use the crystals anymore as Eonar does tonnes more dmg now.
There also seemed to be no bat wave phase anymore... or maybe I wasn't watching the skies.
Hope this helps some of you first-timers. GL & HF :]

Part 1: The Rant
Alright, let's put this to rest. Blizz's idea of "nerfing" this fight on mythic is to only allow certain classes the ability to do it and within a VERY set amount of circumstances with RNG involved. If your class is slow, forget about doing this. If you have no AOE or AOE that requires a power up, skip this. You simply do not have the time to screw around because blizz can't make this available to all classes. I can do this on my hunter,
but just barely
, but I've branched out to other alts. I know someone is going to say "of course it's a hunter", but let's face it, I'm sure most of you have a hunter "mule" that you use to just power through everything when you need to. Hunters are a good base to start with, then you can figure things out from there. Also, since I can't link images, I don't have a real specific way of labeling places or things, so I will try to describe what I can as best as I can.
Part 2: Why You Keep Dying
The reason you need a speed boost is because of this:
终极毁灭
. It is not the mobs that end the encounter (at least not that fast). I never noticed the timer until just today since I was so preoccupied with trying to get in and out of the ship and worrying it was the mobs outside that were causing issues. They are not (if you follow the steps). Watch that timer, it's a silver bar and it's tiny.
If you’re on the ship and you have destroyed the crystals (see the steps below) and you still die, this is the reason. You are not only racing the clock to keep Eonar safe from mobs, but you must enter the ship almost exactly when Eonar says “they are charging their weapons, use these portals…” and begin to run through the ship. If you get the last crystal before the timer runs out, you’re ok… at least in theory. For some reason, even if you have a couple seconds left and you click the last crystal, the game continues to count down because the script needs time to switch to “purge” which is why you need to exit the ship so rapidly or you die from that as well.
Part 3: What I did or “Why Everyone Should Have At Least One Hunter”
My hunter is ilvl408 (as of this writing during Dragonflight) with
开拓者
for an extra speed boost and
猎豹守护
on standby (mainly in the ship). You must have multi-shot as part of this fight. I'm sure you could single-shot each mob, but again, you're literally racing a clock here. It's easier if you macro multi-shot with something like:
/targetenemy
/stopmacro
/cast multi-shot
/petattack
This will send your pet to attack (if needed) and will automatically target everything in front of you so you don't have to fumble with Tab targeting.
This macro is also good for other abilities too so you don’t have to tab-select things, just replace the /cast with your own ability and remove the /petattack, unless you’re a pet class.
*Note: From this point on, I’m writing this as my hunter running it, but you can adjust for your class to fit your style and abilities. I have also edited some things to steamline the fight, but this time I removed the old parts to clear up confusion.
1 (preferred):
Head on down to Eonar on your mount and start the encounter and ride up to the first platform where you came in. Take out the first wave of mobs, then the mini-boss. Then SKIP the next five waves of fel hounds (they will be dealt with later). This is a preferred method because it gives you a few extra precious seconds before you have to take out the second mech in step 2 so it doesn't just start blasting Eonar.
Alternate: Head on down to Eonar on your mount and start the encounter and ride up to the first platform where you came in. Take out the first wave of mobs, then the mini-boss, then the fel hounds. They come in five waves.
-Unlike the other things I've read, you do not have to dismount and use Surge of Life to get to the first platform, your mount will be fast enough to get you up there. They key is to not stop if you don't have to.
2:
Turn 180 degrees and run to the edge of the top of the ramp and use
生命怒放
. If you are fast enough, you can use the secondary ability to launch yourself up onto the upper ramps of the second spawn area instead of all the way down where you would use the wind boost thing (wish blizz would give names for this crap). If you aren't able to land the platforms that way, just use the wind boost to get you up there. Kill the felguard, the mech and SKIP the waves of fel hounds.
3:
Surge of Life down in front of Eonar (where you started the encounter) and you will see the fel hounds from the first spawn point just about to attack her. Take them out.
Facing Eonar, turn right and you will see the fel hounds you skipped from the second upper level, kill them as well.
Update 2/24/24: So, I'm not sure if Blizz changed something or maybe I was just making an extra step, but that last part seems to no longer be needed, at least not the way I originally wrote it. Once you kill the first waves of hounds from the first spawn point, do not wait for the second wave and continue to part 4.
-By this point, Eonar will warn you the ship is powering its weapons and to use the portals to board, do not do this just yet.
-About the update to part 3. I found that you can skip the second wave of fel hounds and go straight to the third wave that is in part 4, just killing one seems to trigger Eonar's attack and wipes the map clear of baddies. I discovered this by accident as I was running this for the fourth week (to get the raid skips) on my DK. However, sometimes the game will not kill them and when you exit the ship, you must use Surge of Life down to Eonar and take them out. Just boost yourself from the ship as you normally would and you'll see if they are there or not. You still have plenty of time to do things at part 6 and on.
4:
Turn back to your left and you will see a mob of fel hounds coming around another corner to come UP a ramp to Eonar. At this point you only need to kill ONE of the hounds. As soon as you do, turn and run to the green flower portals to board the ship.
-You can use Surge of Life to meet the hounds head-on and then use it to get back to the portals, it might save you a few seconds on the ship, but I have yet to try it.
I'm not sure if I would try this, you might actually need to take a few extra seconds to let the last of the second wave of hounds to spawn. You can use the wind boost thing to jump down to the hounds and back up again, this will save you having to fuss with Surge of Life, otherwise just wait on the ramp for them.
-Eonar should, at this point, remind the Legion they are dealing with a Titan and she will dispatch everything. Just in case her ability didn’t charge, when you kill the baddie on the ship, it’ll tick the charging bar over and she’ll do it then. Don’t ask me why it does this. This is also where you get
终极毁灭
charging, so speed is key here. You literally have no time for mistakes.
5:
Once aboard the ship, turn and kill the baddie in the center (you will almost always be facing away), then head south (down on the map), up the ramp and destroy one of the two crystals, run to the other side of the ship and destroy the other. Use Surge of Life, then use the secondary ability to launch yourself across the ship to the north, proceed to destroy those crystals.
- Let it be known that at this point, you will have a debuff on you that will launch you into the air, this makes it difficult to move around.
6:
Once the four crystals are destroyed, you must exit the ship when the fel wall comes down. Use Surge of Life again to jump off the ship and glide down. Do not forget to check to see if the hounds are attacking Eonar. In the few tests I did on another alt, it's almost 50/50 whether they will be or not.
- This is where things get buggy and weird, the game likes to sometimes ignore its own rules and make things up as it goes along at this point. You are also facing multiple spawn locations at the same time. I have not found a specific way to deal with these mobs, so use your own discretion.
7:
Glide down out of the ship and make your way to the far north of the lowest platform (or if you had to kill the hounds at Eonar, just boost yourself from there). A large mech will be out and a mob of hounds and guards will be running toward Eonar. You can usually use multi-shot to take some out along the way, but your priority is to take out the large mech, you can clean up the others later.
7A:
When you exit the ship, there might be some fel hounds that somehow escaped Eonar’s wrath and they will be attacking her. I have yet to figure out where they come from, but they need to be dispatched BEFORE you go to the mobs in the north.
Technically this is still true, but I moved the info up sooner.
7B:
After you take out the mech and if you have most of the mobs cleared, there will be three mid-tier boss-type mobs on the upper section where you entered the zone (where you first start the encounter). One is a mech that is empowering the guards running with it. You must take them out before they reach Eonar, they have the shortest distance to her and they do massive damage
7C:
Fel hounds will spawn on the upper area right of Eonar (the second place you went to after starting the encounter)
7D:
Felbats will spawn from a portal high above Eonar. If you have taken out the hounds from 7C, you can use Surge of Life to fly out to them and start taking their health down. If you’re really high powered, you’ll probably just kill them.
7E:
Sometimes the game likes to ignore kills and will not empower Eonar’s nuke ability. On one such run, I was able to kill every mob on this phase and she just sat there. If this happens, she will once again ask you to board the ship and you have to do that part all over again. The problem is now that you have to contend with being thrown into the air at random times. You can do it, but it makes it a lot harder.
---
Even doing all this, it has taken me 1-4 tries to finish this, depending on the RNG of everything and I am fairly certain that either the timer glitches or enemies suddenly do more damage than other runs. I have had perfectly clean runs and then all of the sudden the entire thing ends, killing me.
Old news, I understand it better now.
This is just a stupid, terrible design of a "boss" battle and ranks right up there with Spine of Deathwing and quite frankly is probably worse.
*Update 12/30/23 - I have been able to successfully run this on other classes, but my original statement still stands, you MUST have some kind of speed boost and AOE that doesn't require a power up. This is about the limit of what I have for alts that can theoretically run this boss and succeed. I have others like a pally, a mage, a priest, etc, but none of them have effective AoE and/or speed boosts (apparently there is a priest run on Youtube, but I’m sick of doing even this many alts at this point). However, your mileage may vary. If you want to get straight to the fight, skip this part.
*Update 2/5/24 - Special note: there is a way to speed up slow classes, I will detail more at the bottom.
Fury Warrior
- ilvl 330 - Took me three tries to get this one done. I had to make sure to use
英勇飞跃
and
冲锋
when I absolutely needed to cover lost ground. I was able to squeak by on the very first wave of mobs by not killing the fourth pack that spawned, giving me time to get to the upper crystal, then coming back down to Eonar and dispatching them and the new pack that was quickly arriving. Everything after that was just making sure to be in the right place at the right time, there is absolutely no room for mistakes here. High ilvl would help (she is now at ilvl 402 and it was much faster).
MM Hunter
- ilvl 316 - Another one that barely made it by. For some reason I needed to have my pet out to complete this one. It might be a fluke, since a MM without a pet has 100% DPS instead of dropping when you have a pet out, but it made a different for whatever reason. I will experiment more (at ilvl 397, things went much faster).
Havoc Demon Hunter
- ilvl 335 -This one took three tries, but mainly learning how often to use various speed boosts and such. This one is a tossup, but it was done (at nearly ilvl400, it was much easier).
Windwalker Monk
- ilvl 328 - A couple of AOE options and even more speed boost options make this fairly easy.
神鹤引项踢
does require a power-up, but it's only a single hit from one of your other abilities to gain Chi (like Tiger Palm), that is very manageable and very powerful.
猛虎掌
also seems to have an AOE strike as well, this helps mitigate plenty of mobs. Use speed boosts as needed, you have three:
滚地翻
x 2,
迅如猛虎
, and
翔龙在天
(be careful with this one, you can't turn when using it). Also, even at ilvl 400, I had real trouble getting the encounter done. The game would often ignore Eonar's ability charge. At one point I had wiped everything on the last phase of the encounter and I was just stand there and it just outright killed me for no reason. I don't know what the deal is.
Balance Druid
- ilvl 327 - Not gonna lie, this one was tough. It took me three tries to get it right, I'm not sure if it was me or the mechanics. I have a suspicion I didn't get Eonar's Life Energy up enough for her to wipe out the mobs (or the game was ignoring it again), but I'm not certain. The druid isn't too bad for AoE.
月火术
hits two targets at once and at higher ilvl's, it'll kill them faster. I was able to run a quick rotation to charge
星辰坠落
and wipe out all the mobs on the first level. Nearly everything else I just spammed Moonfall. I did use cat form for some extra speed and I had
急奔
and
狂奔怒吼
if I needed them. I was able to keep Starfall charged with Moonfall to use on the packs coming from that same bottom level AFTER leaving the ship. On the last wave when the felbats come out of the portal, I was able to use Surge of Life to fly up to them and hit them with Starfall and win. - I went out to Dragon Isles with my druid and did a handful of world quests that granted 418 gear, I did the Suffusion camp (because I still had the weekly for it) and the turn-in for the weekly was more gear, I boosted my druid from 327 to 388 in just a couple hours and while the DPS isn't a HUGE difference for this raid, it did mean I was spending less time taking out the waves of mobs. I then completed Eonar on my first try for this week.
I have also confirmed that this is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to do on a class with no speed boost of any kind.
I tried this on my DK, ilvl 374, but oh, so incredibly nerfed these days, can't barely kill anything without multiple hits. What makes up for the nerfed DPS is the excellent AoE of Remorseless Winter and Howling Blast, but that doesn't do a damn thing because once you get on the ship, you move so slow that by the time you finish the last crystal, you're dead.
So, about that DK...
Part of me is dumb because I had forgotten to enchant my weapons with runes... so yeah, there's that. I also employed a speed boost option recently that made it possible to do this on my DK.
Part 8 - I feel the need, the need... for speed.
This link details how you can speed up even the slowest class to be more viable when farming for mounts, gear, etc:
https://www.wowhead.com/guide/making-a-dragonflight-speed-gear-set-and-running-legacy-raids-dungeons-fast-18075#introduction
I also highly recommend you download an addon from Curseforge called MonkeySpeed. It's a nice, lightweight, unobtrusive addon that shows your character's speed in real time and it will automatically calculate your character's potential speed before you're even moving based solely on your speed stats.
For my DK, I did the bare minimum in terms of gearing up for speed runs as I was experimenting for a farm in a Classic dungeon. I bought a pair of boots that were below lvl50, enchanted them with
附魔靴子 - 初级速度
, then went to what BFA dungeons I needed to get two pieces of Azerite gear with the
远行者
spell on them. I had the HoA already, so that part was done. This boosted my DK's speed from 107% speed (essentially, basic running) up to 140% speed, which is on par with hunter's Trailblazer. The only negative of this is the reduced ilvl, I went from 410 to 384. I had barely enough time to beat the timer when on the ship, but I did beat it and the drop in ilvl wasn't so terrible that I couldn't take down the waves of mobs.

On Normal difficulty: all you have to do is run around & kill all the adds before they reach Eonar until her life essence bar is full. Should be easily doable for any class afaict
