This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the Coven of Shivarra encounter on Normal Difficulty in Antorus, the Burning Throne. Changes to the fight for Looking for Raid and Heroic difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including tips and strategies for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties. The Coven of Shivarra is a single phase council style fight with three bosses that share a health pool. The raid will only be engaging two bosses directly at any given time, whilst the third boss will be tormenting the souls of one of four titans. The tortured titans each have a unique ability they will cast after the third boss has finished torturing them. After the titans have used two abilities, one boss will exchange places with the boss outside the arena. Understanding each of the abilities is your key to success for the Coven of Shivarra encounter, as a large amount of personal play is needed to defeat the three sisters.
The Coven of Shivarra is the eighth or ninth boss in Antorus, the Burning Throne; available November 28th on Normal / Heroic difficulty, January 2nd on LFR. The Coven of Shivarra is available after defeating
Kin'garoth
.

Quick Tips
Overview
– The Mothers of the Coven of Shivarra share a health pool. Two of the Shivarra stay within the arena and engage their enemies directly, while the titans' souls are being tormented. The Shivarra exchange places after forcing two titans' souls to use their abilities against the enemies of the Coven.
While within 18 yards of each other, the Coven of Shivarra will take reduced damage. Defeating the tormented aparitions of the titans is the key to defeating the Coven itself, and freeing the souls of Aman'Thul, Golganneth, Khaz'goroth and Norgannon.
Damage Dealers

Avoid standing next to allies when afflicted with

The Coven of Shivarra Abilities
Keep the bosses separated by 20 yards.
The three sisters have a shared health pool, however the two active bosses cannot be stacked due to
破坏魔契约
, which reduces the damage they take by 99% when within 18 yards of one another.
Tanks should aim to keep the two active bosses within 19-22 yards of one another as much as possible, to allow classes with efficient area of effect and cleave spells to damage both active bosses simultaneously.
At the beginning of the encounter the raid will be fighting against
诺拉,烈焰之母
and
奥萨拉,黑夜之母
.
蒂玛,幽影之母
will immediately leave the arena and start tormenting the titans as soon as the bosses are engaged.

Abilities
The tanks want to face Noura away from anyone else for due to her
火焰打击
ability.
This is a frontal cleave which also applies a debuff which increases damage taken by the ability by 100% for 30 seconds and this stacks.
Tanks should use active mitigation for each of the hits, saving larger damage reductions for when they have higher stacks.
Avoid the
飞旋的军刀
as it returns to Noura.
The debuff applied by the
火焰打击
forces the tanks to eventually switch what bosses they are tanking so that the debuff can time out.
A good debuff stack to switch on is 5, but this should be adjusted depending on on the tanks class and gear.
Ideally the tanks will still keep the mobs at least 18 yards apart during the switch to try and mitigate the
破坏魔契约
.
They can do this by taunting each others bosses and using charges/movement speed increases to get to the bosses quickly.
If the tanks don't have these movement abilities available, they can just taunt each others mobs and have them run past one another for a brief period.
Noura will cast
飞旋的军刀
.
This throws out a sword towards the location of a random ranged player, dealing damage to anyone within its targeting circle as it lands.
The sword will then start spinning whilst traveling slowly back to Noura, dealing damage to any nearby players as it moves.
Players need to move out of the swords path to avoid taking any of the
飞旋的军刀
damage.

Abilities
Although Asara has no ability that the tank alone needs to deal with, she still needs to be tanked and held within the 19-22 yard range from Noura to allow DPS to cleave efficiently.
Asara will be dealing bursts of damage to the random members of the raid through her
黑暗之触
cast.
This long cast is uninterruptible. Healers just need to be prepared to spot heal players that take the randomly assigned damage from the cast.
On a timer, Asara will conjure three
暗影之刃
that hover next to her for a moment.
These blades will then shoot across the encounter area, dealing damage and knocking back any players that they contact.
The blades face the direction they are going to travel as they spawn.
Players should take note of these directions and try and side step the
暗影之刃
before they shoot across the room.

The
暗影之刃
shortly after they spawnwill then shoot out in a straight line. Avoid them!
Torment of the Titans
As players are fighting Noura and Asara, Diima will be outside the encounter area tormenting the soul of a titan via an 80 second cast.
The titan soul she decides to torment is randomly selected each time.
Players can see which soul is being tormented via the cast on the boss frames.
During the cast, the raid will be receiving ever increasing stacks of a dot called
恐惧
.
Once the cast completes, the
恐惧
debuff will drop and the raid will have to deal with whatever Torment of the Titans ability that Diima cast.
Kill the
阿曼苏尔的痛苦
before it heals.
Remain spread by 2 yards andquickly kill of the
高戈奈斯的痛苦
adds.
Stand between
卡兹格罗斯的痛苦
adds to avoid damage from their flamethrowers.
Avoid and crowd control the
诺甘农的痛苦
adds for 30 seconds.
阿曼苏尔的诡诈
will spawn multiple
阿曼苏尔的痛苦
adds around the sides of the room.
These adds will just stand still casting
阿曼苏尔的诡诈
. They do not need to be tanked and they cannot be moved.
These long uninterruptible casts will cause them to apply a dot on the raid which can stack.
This will also heal the add to full health.
The raid must focus down the adds to make sure they die before the cast goes off.
Its unlikely that all adds will die before the first cast, so the raid should focus on just killing a few of the adds, rather than dotting everything which will likely prove to be futile.

will spawn

adds will stand still around the encounter area just like the
阿曼苏尔的痛苦
adds.
They do not need to be tanked and instead they'll be channeling
高戈奈斯之怒
which deals a nasty burst of damage to any player who stands within 2 yards of another player.
The raid needs to be spread apart from one another as you quickly kill off the adds.
These adds do not heal, so players should deal as much damage as possible to the adds through multi-dotting and cleave.
卡兹格罗斯之焰
will summon
卡兹格罗斯的痛苦
adds that will be spaced evenly around the sides of the room.
All of these adds will each channel a flamethrower into the middle of the room which deals a large amount of damage every second to anyone who is within it.
The raid needs to move to the sides of the room before the ability comes in so you can quickly stand between two of these adds.
Once you're safe, you want to move around the edges and kill the adds off as soon as possible to gain control of the room again.

will spawn a large amount of
诺甘农的痛苦
adds around the walls of the encounter area which start walking in straight lines.
If players come into contact with these adds they will take a large amount of damage every second.
These adds only have 1 HP, but have the
泰坦的面容
buff, which causes them to be immune to damage for 30 seconds after they spawn.
The raid needs to avoid these adds for 30 seconds before quickly killing them all once the immunity has gone.
You can crowd control the
诺甘农的痛苦
adds in lots of different ways, including hard crowd control spells like paralysis.
You just have to be careful with things like knockbacks and other displacing effects, as the adds might be knocked into other players, potentially killing them.
One strategy the raid may wish to employ is to stack in two corners of the room, each with a single boss so that the bosses to remain spread.
Players then use crowd control on any adds that move towards them, effectively making a little bunker in the corner of the room for the raid to use whilst they wait out the immunity.
Once Diima has tormented two titan souls, she will enter the encounter area and Noura will leave. Players will now have to fight Diima and Asara together whilst Noura torments more titan souls.

Abilities
She will frequently hit the tanks with

.
This cast deals a big burst of damage to the tank and applies a debuff which reduces movement speed by 10% for 20 seconds.
The tanks will need to taunt off one another once again for this debuff.
If the debuff goes to high the tank wont be able to move whatsoever, preventing them from avoiding other mechanics.
A good stack to taunt on is usually 4-6 stacks.
Healers will need to spot heal players when they are afflicted with Diima's
冷凝之血
debuffs.
This is a healing absorption debuff placed on multiple members of the raid.
When this times out the debuffed players will be stunned. The stun duration is based on the amount of heal absorption remaining, with the stun being longer with larger absorption amounts.
Healers will want to clear all of these debuffs before they expire, as stuns during the encounter can cause players to stand within mechanics; leading to a swift death.
Once Noura torments two titan souls, she will enter the encounter and Asara will leave the arena and begin to torment titan souls.
This leaves the raid with Noura and Diima.
Tanks need to ensure that they are tracking both
快速冻结
and
火焰打击
stacks to make sure that they taunt off each other without letting either of the stacks refresh.
Once Asara has tormented two titan souls, she will reenter the arena, and Diima will leave.
This effectively puts you back at the beginning of the encounter, as you'll now be dealing with Noura and Asara once again.
This cycle will continue until the bosses are defeated.
Role Responsibilities
Tanks
Keep the two active bosses at least 18 yards apart at all times to prevent them from gaining the
破坏魔契约
damage reduction.
Taunt off one another on around 5 stacks of either
快速冻结
from Diima, or
火焰打击
from Noura.
Face Noura away from the raid to prevent additional players from getting hit by the
火焰打击
.
Side step the three
暗影之刃
which Asara spawns from herself.
Avoid standing in the
飞旋的军刀
as it travels back to Noura.
Do not stand within 2 yards of any other player during

.
Stand at the edge of the room, between two

Healers
Be prepared to heal the raid during high stacks of

which occur towards the end of a Torment of the Titans cast.
Spot heal players afflicted with

to remove the healing absorb, preventing players from being stunned.
Spot heal players who a randomly damaged by
黑暗之触
.
Side step the three
暗影之刃
which Asara spawns from herself.
Avoid the initial landing zone and the spinning blade as the

travels back to Noura.
Do not stand within 2 yards of any other player during

The bosses share a health pool. If you can efficiently damage both active bosses then you should!
Side step the three

which Asara spawns from herself.
Avoid the initial landing zone and the spinning blade as the

travels back to Noura.
Do not stand within 2 yards of any other player during
高戈奈斯之怒
, whilst killing the adds around the room.
Stand at the edge of the room, between two
卡兹格罗斯的痛苦
adds during Flames of Khaz'garoth.
Kill nearby
卡兹格罗斯的痛苦
as soon as possible.
Focus down individual
阿曼苏尔的痛苦
adds to kill them before they heal via their
阿曼苏尔的诡诈
.
Avoid the
诺甘农的幽灵军团
adds. Crowd control them to stop them running into you.
Kill off all
诺甘农的痛苦
adds after the Visage of the Titan buff has expired on them after 30 seconds.
Raid Finder Difficulty
Aside from numerical changes, in which the damage from the abilities has been severely reduced, there are no mechanical changes to the Coven of Shivarra encounter listed in the Dungeon Journal.
Heroic Difficulty
Alongside numerical changes, in which the damage from the abilities has been increased, there is several mechanical additions that have been made to the Coven of Shivarra encounter on Heroic difficulty.
Stay away from other players whilstunder the effects of
爆裂脉冲
.
Each boss has one additional ability the raid will need to deal with.
诺拉,烈焰之母
will now apply
爆裂脉冲
debuffs to several members of the raid.
This 10 second dot will cause the players to explode when the debuff expires, dealing a moderate burst of damage to anyone within 6 yards.
Players with
爆裂脉冲
need to ensure nobody is within their circle when the debuff expires.
奥萨拉,黑夜之母
will now cast
黑暗风暴
.
This deals heavy raid wide damage every second over 15 seconds.
During the cast, multiple safe zones will spawn in the arena which prevent all damage taken by
黑暗风暴
.
Players must stand within these safe zones so that they can safely survive the
黑暗风暴
.
The bosses will need to be tanked in different zones that are at least 18 yards away to ensure that
破坏魔契约
is not activated.
Stand within safe zoneswhile
黑暗风暴
is present.
This ability can overlap with others. As an example you will have the
爆裂脉冲
debuffs expire whilst the
黑暗风暴
is being channelled.
The players with the
爆裂脉冲
debuffs will have to make a choice whether or not they should explode in the zone or not.
If you are in a zone with a lot of people, then you should probably leave the zone to allow your debuff to expire without splashing damage onto others.
Players should use a damage reduction to survive combined damage of
黑暗风暴
and
爆裂脉冲
.
If few people are in the zone, you should be able to stand within the safe zone and have the debuff expire without hitting other people.
蒂玛,幽影之母
will spawn a large
冰霜之球
at the location of a random ranged player.
This orb deals a flat burst of damage to the entire raid as it spawns.
The orb will then linger at the same location, slowing players within 30 yards by up to 85%. This slow is reduced the further players are from the orb.
Ranged players should attempt to be at the sides of the room before the
冰霜之球
is cast to bait the orb into spawning into an ideal location.
If the orb happens to spawn in a bad location, players may struggle to move around to avoid mechanics.
In this situation, raid wide movement speed increases should be used to help these players.
Mythic Difficulty
Alongside numerical changes, in which the damage from the abilities has been increased, there are some mechanical changes that have been made to the Coven of Shivarra encounter on Mythic difficulty.

Anyone else feel like the storm mechanic on heroic seems to be.... not implemented well?
Can hardly SEE safe zones ontop of other mechanics + player spell effects.
Not to mention the floor is not helping blend the boss's spell effects. :/

Asara Should be Onli taunted By a melee DPS not a Tank. She doesnt deal Actual Melee dmg that is fatal.
Tank Should be Tanking the same one on a side all alone with healer rdy to heal thems. While the rest should be Aiming to focus onli on Asara. This way SafeZone is way easier to manage since u can all stand on the same safezone with Asara facing or not due to her low melee dmg.
Healer can this way also have an easy time to debuff or heal fulminator pulse without being out of range.
This also mean the 2 boss will be at 20feet of eachother constatly never crossing (Like a normal tank swap) making for a better DPS overall.
All that left is to deal with the others dodging mechanics. (With 2 DK'S u can easily make a gap on the army on 2 Marked Side. One for Asara and the other one for the 2 tank.)
This is for heroic purpose.

is a stackable dot that requires only one add alive. RANGE AND HEALERS to the center and mellee will follow

on the cleave job.

= CC one add THEN prepare to soak a puddle and THEN re-stun/re-root/bump any walking add that is coming your way in order to stay alive.

I was able to just barely solo Heroic as Ret Paladin iLvl 198 (I was really at the limit when it came to my health so... may be possible at lower iLvl but not by much). It took about 14 minutes to do. This is much much much easier if you are a pet class, as you can keep them apart and burst them down, but non-pet classes are going to have a rough time. The reason for this is whenever the 2 are close together they have a 99% damage reduction buff which makes this incredibly annoying. This is a war of attrition, and you need to find the gaps necessary to get your hits in (while also staying alive). Expect to die more then a few times as you are getting the
hang of the fight.
Super easy mode: bring a friend to do this. IF you insist on doing this solo like I did, then read on:
Setup before the fight:
Addons: Use DBM to watch for the Storm of Darkness, Orb of Frost, Whirling Blade, and Flame Strike abilities, as well as when they swap. Everything else is mostly noise so I disabled it.
1. Talents: Grab Unbreakable Spirit and Final Reckoning
2. Conduits: Grab Divine Call
You want to make it so you have as little of a cooldown as possible for Divine Shield... on my win I popped my bubble literally with 1 second before I was going to die.
I did this as a necrolord, but I don't think anything in particular helped for this fight with that. The Fleshcrafting was nice at times, but I think Night Fae or Venthyr may have a slight advantage from increased mobility.
Initial Attack:
Pop Wings and anything else you have to do more damage and throw Final Reckoning in the middle of the group. This will do a good amount of upfront damage.
During the Fight:
Watch out for when Storm of Darkness, Orb of Frost, or Whirling Blade are about to pop as they all have cast times. If you are slowed, hit Blessing of Freedom right before this. Either way, hit Divine Steed right before they cast the ability and run away as fast as you can. This should separate them enough for you to get 1 or 2 hits in. Try to make them good hits like TV, Wake of Ashes, Final Reckoning etc... if you can time it well you can likely get all 3 in. Just keep moving in a big circle, and as soon as you see them lose the pink aura hit them hard.
The best time to get the most damage in is when they are about to swap places. They swap every 3 minutes, so you need to take advantage of the time when you have it. Try to hug the wall when they are going to swap, pop wings and get as many hits in as you can during this time. It will still only be a few, but it's the best window you get.
The ability you have to watch out for is Flaming Strike. The fire Shivarra will keep casting that on you, and every time it hits it will do another +100% damage the next time. I was able to live up to about 17 stacks if I kept my health topped off. After 17 I had to hit Divine Shield or I would be incredibly close to being 1-shot.
While you are waiting for them to cast their next spells and get your next window of opportunity, kill any of the adds that have popped. Make sure you are keeping yourself topped off on health.
At the End:
The hardest part of this is when the Fire Shivarra is up for 2 rounds in a row (round meaning the time between swaps). You need to live past the first swap and add a little bit of time and hit Divine Shield when you know you will likely die in the next hit. If you have a higher iLvl this part will likely be easier.
There seemed to be some kind of enrage timer at the 12 minute mark, which coincides with the Fire Shivarra leaving and it just being the wind and ice one. If you can make it past that part, you need to keep up what you've been doing but likely put in a bit more effort towards keeping yourself alive.
When I got the kill, at the 14 minute mark they did another swap, and for some reason the 2 just stayed apart for about 30 seconds. I don't know why... if this was a glitch or something, but I was able to burst them down at this point. Even if they didn't do that, I feel I probably could have survived another few minutes doing everything above to whittle them down the rest of the way.

Considering this now is a Legacy and all content should be soloable in all difficulties. I wish Blizz with come up with a debuff for
破坏魔契约
. This fight is terrible to solo even as a hunter. Maybe it's just me but keeping them apart is a pain. Guess we got to wait until we can DPS them down even when they're buffed (next xpac lol)!
