Confirmed this week that you can complete an old Aiding the Accord and then pick up a Last Hurrah in the same week.

Opened up one of these today on my MW monk and received a Ranged DPS trinket. Does this not give you loot spec items?

I've Tried to do the protect the researchers part of this quest five times and did not get credit. I have logged out and back in, dropped the quest and picked it up again, as well as turned off all addons. Anyone else having trouble?

Blizz Tech 1 - It's unfortunate that the Protect the Researchers Under Fire world quest has been glitched now since its release, should we fix it?

Blizz Tech 2 - Nah, in fact, lets leave it broke... and REQUIRE it as part of the final weekly quest for the current patch!

As of 1st May, didn't get credited &/or complete the quest.

Edit:

I figured it out. You have to complete the quest: "Six Hundred Feet Under"

That quest chain starts with "The Land Beneath"

If you don't have that quest available you need to complete the quest chain "A Creche Divided" that begins with the quest "Hidden Legacies"

Did not get credit for the time rift in raid. Will retest outside of it.

Later the quest just completed for me after I left the time rift.

Researchers Under Fire will be in the center of Zaralek Caverns, and takes place every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour (so at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, etc). You can see the next time it starts on the map with that battle horn symbol in the center of the Zaralek Caverns map (as well as see where it takes place). I don’t think you need to be there for the entire event or that all 12 objectives need to be cleared, just be there when it ends and any participation you did that time should qualify

Sorodormi is not offering one of my characters the quest, so no chance of the 480 reward without the quest.

Regarding: Researchers under Fire.
This Section of the Quest can not be completed unless you did the Zaralek Caverns Questline to a certain Point.
When a yellow Horn symbol appears on the Researcher quest Area then you know you are ready to do the Quest.

To be able to get credit for the "Protect the Researchers Under Fire" you must enable World quests in the Zaralek Cavern.

This starts with "The Land Beneath".

If that is not available you also need to finish the quest line "A Creche Divided"

The researchers part doesn't count unless you pretty much played most the *!@#ing campaign. I tried looking for every single quest suggested but then there's a requirement and then another requirement, and ther ANOTHER one.

TLDR: you either played the whole $%^&ing storyline or you can't just get your weekly craft if you're a returning player in the very last season of the xpac. blizzard never fails to suprise with the stupid design.

Thought I had the quest picked up on my alt and didn't realize it till after I looted the secured shipment, guess there is no way to complete the weekly quest now on that alt.

Bruh. I have no idea where to even find the beginning quest lines to unlock the caverns quest lines to finish the weekly. Even with the other commenters telling me which quest to do it's a mess combing through every quest I've done or where I'm at on a story line I started like a year ago. I wanted to come back and play, but this is so convoluted and confusing I think I'll just go do something else with my time.
