击碎者金罗克
made his first appearance on Yojamba isle with the rest of the surviving Zandalar trolls. After the Cataclysm Yojamba isle was deserted, but
击碎者金罗克
made his next appearance in the new Zul'gurub to put an end to
碎神者金度
.
It seems that Jin'rokh the breaker got a huge promotion, and now serves as the opening boss to Throne of the thunder king. A bit sad that we have to face some we once thought of as allies.
Also, a side note. This has been said on previous Jin'rokh pages, and I'll say it again;
Do NOT confuse Jin'rokh with the sword
金洛斯,末日的启示者
difference being the K and H at the end of the names. Not going to say that they're not connected in some way or another as I do not know entirely.

Jin'Rokh the Breaker
When the Thunder King awoke, he rewarded the most loyal and ambitious Zandalari trolls with power beyond their wildest dreams. The berserker Jin’rokh was one of the first to receive the King’s blessing, and even though Lei Shen’s gifts nearly tore his body apart, the troll is now capable of calling the fury of the storm in battle.
Lead Encounter Designer, Ion “Watcher” Hazzikostas
:
Long-time players may remember this guy as one of the Zandalari berserkers living on Yojamba Isle in Stranglethorn Vale, back when the Zandalari were our friends. He was a quest giver in the assault on the original 20-player Zul’Gurub. He was a huge brute to begin with, but he’s been imbued with even greater power by the Thunder King. He crackles with electricity, using both his raw strength and channeled lightning to destroy his enemies.

For those unfamiliar with Jin'Rokh, he was a part of the Zandalari expedition that recruited heroes to venture into the original Zul'Gurub. He was the NPC responsible for exchanging Warrior and Paladin tokens for their respective pieces of gear.
You can see his (now out of date) wowhead page here:
击碎者金罗克
He should also not be confused with
金洛斯,末日的启示者
(note the spelling).

Strat for this boss is fairly straightforward. He's mainly just a gear check. He should be beatable by any guild capable of beating normal-mode Garalon pre-patch.
Composition:
Recommended 10man composition is 2 tanks, 5 dps and 3 healers. though he can be 2 healed if your healers are good and your dps are struggling.
Mechanics:
The fight lasts ~7 minutes. after ~30 seconds of pulling the boss, and every 90 seconds thereafter he will pick up the tank and
雷霆投掷
him at one of the four mogu statues arranged in a square around the room (he always chooses whichever statue he is farthest from). the statue will shatter and drop an ever-growing pool of
导电之水
. this pool starts out small but eventually grows to fill an entire quarter of the room. Any player standing in the water is buffed with the buff
流体
which increases healing by 60% (ignore wowhead tooltip, the in-game tooltip says increased healing not just healing received) and damage dealt by 40%, but also increases nature damage taken from Jin'rokhs abilities by 50%. there are 4 statues and therefore 4 pools by the end of the fight. each filling up a quarter of the room until the entire floor is covered.
Every 90 seconds Jin'rokh will cast
闪电风暴
, he will jump to the middle of the room and channel for 15 seconds, dealing nature damage to the whole raid every second. this ability will also turn the previously beneficial
导电之水
into
浸电之水
. which will quickly kill any player who stands in it.
Jin'rokh periodically casts
静电爆炸
, dealing nature damage to the whole raid (50% more to those standing in the waters) and applies
静电创伤
to the tank which will deals large amounts of nature damage to the raid unless the offtank taunts immediately. The debuff will have worn off the main tank by the time the ability is cast again, so regular tank swapping will occur throughout the fight.
Throughout the whole fight Jin'rokh will cast
专注闪电
on a random healer or ranged dps (melee are never targeted). a ball of lightning slowly move towards that player, too fast to outrun, but slow enough that that player can move to a safe spot before the lightning reaches them. when the lightning reaches its target that player and any player within 8 yards will take a large hit of nature damage. if that player was standing in the
导电之水
when the lightning hit them, all players also in the water will also be hit by the damage, and due to the 50% extra damage taken while standing in the water. this will almost certainly oneshot your entire raid.
Upon reaching a target and detonating, the
专注闪电
will leave a
闪电裂隙
on the ground. This is a small pillar of lightning that will damage any raid member who gets near it. it also has 2 unique properties. If at any time a
专注闪电
passes through a
闪电裂隙
it will cast
内爆
and the entire raid will take a large amount of damage, Likely causing a wipe. When a pool of conductive water expands enough that it touches a
闪电裂隙
, all players standing in the water will take moderate nature damage and the fissure will be removed.
Strategy:
Tanks:
DPS the boss when not tanking. taunt the boss quickly whenever he casts
静电创伤
on the other tank. make sure that you quickly move the boss close to the water after every
雷霆投掷
so melee players can stand in the water and attack his back. don't stand in the water while tanking. That is all.
Melee DPS:
Get to each new pool as soon as you can, try to save your DPS cooldowns for when you're standing in a pool. get out of the pools and stack up in the center of the room with your raid whenever
闪电风暴
is cast. and use whatever self preservation cooldowns you have to assist your healers in this high-damage period.
Ranged DPS:
Same as the melee except you also have to worry about
专注闪电
. this means you should make sure you're standing on the very edge of the waters to facilitate running out of the waters when it is cast on you. Ensure that the lightning does not pass through any fissures on its way to you, and also try to avoid dragging it through any of your fellow raid members.
The best place to be standing when a
专注闪电
hits you is on top of one four bronze grates around the edges of the room, these areas never fill with water so you will never need to worry about them hurting your raid. its perfectly fine to drop the fissure anywhere in the room if there's no room left on the grate or you're not near one since the damage that will be dealt to those standing in the water when the water eventually makes contact with the fissure isn't really very high.
Healers:
Primary concern is of course healing your tanks. You will position yourselves at the edge of the water like the ranged DPS. The DPS players will all take moderate damage after every
静电爆炸
and should be topped off before the next one, and each player to be targeted by
专注闪电
should be topped off after being hit. but your primary healing concern is
闪电风暴
which deals large amounts of damage per second to the entire raid. everyone should be stacked up in the center of the room so AOE healing will be effective. These are also the time to pop healing cooldowns like tranquility and such. other than this, your only concern is dealing with the
专注闪电
in the same manner as the ranged DPS.
Heroism/Bloodlust/Timewarp:
:
This should obviously be saved for once all of your DPS players are standing in a pool of water. when exactly during the fight you want to use it is up to you. during the first pool is the simplest option because it ensures all your DPS players will have all their DPS cooldowns available. If your DPS players pre-pot and only use 1minute DPS cooldowns on the when the boss is aggroed and save any longer cooldowns for heroism, you can pop hero exactly 1 minute after the pull and you should have another pot, and all cooldowns ready for stacking with the hero+water
Conclusion:
Strategy-wise this is possibly the simplest fight MoP has offered us so far. Certainly far less complex than the entry-bosses for the 3 previous raids were. This fight is clearly designed as a simple gear check. To ensure your raid is appropriately geared for the instance. The most difficult part of the fight is healing through the lighting storm, if you can manage that you shouldn't have any problems.

For those of you who are curious about
Thundering Throw's
mechanic, Jin'rokh will hurl the tank at an unbroken statue farthest from his position. Facing has no role in where he throws.
In short, if you want to control where Jin throws the tank, pull him in the opposite direction. Want him to break
Northeast?
Pull Jin to the
Southwest.

LFR Strategy
:
Tanks
- Swap after each
Static Burst
to avoid lots of raid damage.
The boss will throw you occasionally, stunning you and forcing a swap. Try to get back quickly so that you can get things going properly again. There is almost always a Static Burst right after a throw, so it's possible for the other tank to have 14 stacks when your stun ends (that's bad.)
Turn the boss so that his back is facing the active pool of water. You can do this while standing right in the middle of the room so that you don't outrange the healers, but be careful not to stand in electrified water.
DPS and Healers
- After the tanks are thrown a pool of water will slowly fill 1/4 of the room. Standing in the water gives you a substantial damage/healing buff. He has a very large hit box, so melee can get into the pool even when it is still small. Use your DPS cooldowns while you're in the water (+40% damage.)
The boss will cast
Focused Lightning
often. If it targets you, you'll be chased by a ball of lightning. Run away from the raid and
out of the water
, then let it catch up to you and hit you, leaving a
Lightning Fissure
. Avoid having the Focused Lightning ball hit a Lightning Fissure, as it will do substantial raid damage.
After about a minute of the pool of water expanding, the boss will cast a spell called
Lightning Storm
. This permanently electrifies the water and does significant raid damage. Get out of the water before he finishes casting and stay out afterward.
Healers
: The tanks take significant damage from the boss when thrown. Major raid damage occurs when the boss does Lightning Storm, both because some players won't get out of the (now electrified) water and also directly due to the effects of the spell. This is one of those annoying fights where people need to stay spaced out a bit while also staying close together for raid heals.
tl;dr version
:
Tanks - Swap on Static Burst, turn the boss so its back faces the raid.
DPS and Healers - Stand in the water when it's not electrified. Kite Focused Lightning out of the water, away from the raid, and let it explode on you. Try not to kite it across Lightning Fissures. Get out of the water when the boss starts casting Lightning Storm.
Healers - Lots of raid damage when tanks miss swaps or the raid messes up Focused lightning. Lots of raid damage during Lightning Storm.
Macroable Version
:
/raid Tanks-Swap on Static Burst.
/raid DPS & Heals - Stand in water for buff. Get out fast for Lightning Storm. Don't go back into lightning water.
/raid Kite Focused Lightning out of the water before it hits you. Don't kite it over other lightning.

As a tank, I have noticed that when it is time to taunt, there will almost always be between two and five seconds left on the Static Wound of the tank which is going to take agro. Stacks will be low, so the damage of the AoE lightning won't be as bad compared to damage from higher stacks, but this means that some of the AoE will happen over those seconds.
I am not 100% sure, but it looks like the AoE will not happen if the boss does not land a damaging hit on the tank with the debuff. My suggestion to prevent damage during those few seconds after the taunt is to use an ability that absorbs damage or increases dodge chance. Blood DKs can stack their Blood Shield for the duration of the other tank's agro until the absorption amount is more than enough to withstand a few hits from the boss until the last few seconds of the static wound drops.
Also, when a tank is thrown, this also means that until the thrown tank taunts back, the boss will turn around and begin hitting the other tank, who most likely has a larger amount of stacks on his static wound. The stunned tank can use an ability or racial to break the stun and taunt back. If this is not possible, the tank with the agro can prevent damage taken using suggestions above until the thrown tank can taunt again.
Finally, for those who do not use DBM, it is safe to taunt the boss directly after Static Burst (the lightning nova) rather than when Static Wound is shown on the other tank. When you see the nova, it means the debuff has already chosen its target. It just takes a couple seconds for it to show up. To see the nova, it is best to turn the particle density to Good or higher.
Edit: A DK's Anti Magic Shell will prevent the application of Static Wound if used before the lightning nova. The tank which is thrown first will only be thrown once throughout the fight, while the second tank will be thrown for the rest of the encounter. The other throws will happen after the lightning storm followed by Static Wound. If a DK wants to prevent the application of Static Wound for the upcoming throw, they would want to have agro by the end of lightning storm and use AMS right as the storm ends. This is another way to prevent extra chain lightnings resulting from a tank being hit while having Static Wound.
This is just how I have noticed things so far. Links aren't working at the moment

For Heroic mode, many classes can dispel ionization, but beware that you will still take the full brunt of the 450,000 hit. For example, as a shaman, I can glyph Shamanistic Rage to dispel the debuff myself, but I won't gain the benefit of the 30% damage reduction shamanistic rage normally provides. Be sure to be topped off and if possible have a bubble on before dispelling. Also, be patient with the dispel. You have 24 seconds to clear it. That's plenty of time to run away from the group and make sure you're topped off first.

Ah, a nice easy start off to a raid for once in MoP. Stone Guard is the second hardest boss in MSV. Imperial Visor is challenging (for non-regular raiders) and the protectors are the same. This boss, I think, gives confidence to rising raiders and starts them off good to the neat raid, Throne of Thunder.

Blizzard seems to love making us fight against our friends and allies. I mean, how many good guys have been corrupted into a boss in a dungeon or raid? He's only part of the chain.

Edit:
This comment isn't relevant anymore, as the boss has been hotfixed. He will no longer despawn during throws. Yay!
This boss, mechanically speaking, is quite easy to solo (and was soloed back in patch 5.4, in fact).
However, an issue arises with throws. If no one is on the ground when you are thrown, the boss will despawn.
To combat this, use abilities, trinkets, or other items that summon guardians. The boss will not despawn if these are present during the throw. Controllable pets do not work for this, unfortunately.
Examples:
- Army of the Dead, Gargoyle
- Cardboard Assassin (from engineering)
- Engineering dummies
-
Manual of Void-Calling
- DK T15 2-set bonus (DPS)
- Force of Nature treants
- Xuen, Ox Statue
One trick that I've heard of is to run around with your Voidcaller so that it gets stuck in a statue; this way Jin'rokh won't try to kill it when you get thrown. If you don't manage to pull this off just try to kite Jin'rokh away from the Voidcaller when you summon it.
If you're a DK using the T15 2-set, kite him on your mount until ~7 seconds left for the throw, then start attacking. A ghoul will almost always proc on the first few hits in my experience.

I can't solo him with a shadow priest in Normal even though with high ilevel. The smashes hit like a truck i could not survive, the health gained via DP is not enough. The despawnings are not really an issue, you can use Mindbender everytime time hes gonna do it.
I managed to almost kill him as Disc priest, but the enrage timer was quicker than me and killed me. Although i had to use big heals in some parts cause the damage becomes really tough every now and then.
I know that with other soloers classes should be easy, like hunters, dks or paladins.

To solo as a ranged class with pets, specifically hunters, just stay as far away from the boss as possible. He won't grab you and toss you and cause a problem with your pet being up top and having to dismiss and summon.

If you're a high levelled char going back to kill this guy for fun and are having trouble with the chains, make sure to actually kill at least one of the big trolls on the four platforms around the area BEFORE you start the fight. That way their spirits are in the nether realm and so you can use them to destroy the chains. You can use the same one, just kite it around and make sure not to hit it and one shot it. If you don't do this, you can't kill the boss and if you don't have any boss reset mechanics (feign death, shadowmeld etc), you'll be stood around for a looooong time!

From a melee PoV this is purely a Tank N' Spank solo fight.
Did it as a ret Pala with 715 ilvl and 753 ring.
Tactic is fairly simple, nuke the boss while avoiding electricity pools, stay out of the water, and the boss melts before you do.
On a side note, i only healed myself using my Seal, and one Lay on Hands. So its not to healing intensive.

Normal 10, 110 Ret Paladin, 779 quest gear: DPS is not an issue. You can skip all of the trash going to him, just go through the door and nuke him.
For first timers:
On the first bridge after him, wind will blow you from left to right and you have to run into the wind to keep from being blown off and dying. The blue circles will knock you off the bridge also. When you get in between the braziers/columns on each side of the bridge, the wind will stop blowing so if you pulled something, you can put your back to the brazier facing the bridge and kill the mob without getting knocked off. If you stand facing any way other than toward the bridge you can still can get blown off. Second bridge, more wind, use same strat, but this bridge seems to be somewhat easier to navigate.
