Notable Trash Mobs
Players will encounter several small packs of trash on the way to Kilrogg Deadeye's room. Each pack contains 1-2

Salivating Bloodthirsters will appear again in the Kilrogg encounter, so the trash gives players a chance to learn how to cope with their abilities. They behave identically in the trash packs and in the boss encounter:
Salivating Bloodthirsters do not attack players and cannot be tanked; they move mindlessly toward nearby pools of fel blood
They have low health and are susceptible to slows, knockbacks, roots, and forced movement (e.g.
), but cannot be stunned
If players do not kill the Bloodthirsters before they reach a fel blood pool, they will cast

. If this cast goes off, players should stack on the affected target, and healers may wish to use a raid cooldown to mitigate the shared damage.
Players should focus their DPS on Salivating Bloodthirsters first, as preventing them from mutating into Hulking Terrors will vastly reduce the damage taken and the time required to kill this trash. If no Salivating Bloodthirster is present, prioritize the Bleeding Darkcaster. Melee should run out of the

if they do not have very strong defensive CDs to use to prevent their death.

Kilrogg Deadeye Encounter Mechanics
The Kilrogg Deadeye encounter is primarily an add-prioritization fight. While Kilrogg himself has a large health pool, throughout the fight selected players will receive large damage buffs that can be applied towards killing the boss. For most of the encounter, players will simply be managing adds to prevent their dangerous mechanics.
Salivating Bloodthirster spawning in an alcoveKilrogg is fought in a room with a large fel blood pool at the end of his hallway. Shortly after the fight begins, and approximately every 75 seconds thereafter, Kilrogg will call upon three Salivating Bloodthirsters.
The Salivating Bloodthirsters will transform into Hulking Terrors upon reaching the fel blood pool
One Bloodthirster will always spawn directly on top of the large pool of fel blood at the end of the corridor, and immediately transform
The other two Bloodthirsters spawn from the dark, eye-filled alcoves along the hallway; their spawn times are slightly staggered
Ranged DPS should prioritize killing these Bloodthirsters, and apply slows/roots when possible, to prevent them from transforming
Melee DPS with knockback/forced-movement abilities can assist by disrupting any Bloodthirsters who get too close to a pool

Hulking Terrors
Players are guaranteed to have one Hulking Terror to cope with in each add wave, but should not allow any further Hulking Terrors to spawn.
Tanks must make sure to quickly taunt the newly-formed Hulking Terror
Face the Hulking Terror away from the rest of the raid so they are not affected by

The Terror will cast

; interrupt this to avoid taking heavy raid-wide damage and afflicting every player with a painful DoT
Players must kill the Hulking Terror quickly, as each interrupted

Fel Corruption barThe Hulking Terror may give players

Heart Seeker
Targeted by Heart SeekerThe other type of adds in the fight are spawned by Kilrogg's

mechanic. Kilrogg will target a random ranged player with

, and 8 seconds later he will hurl a spear at that player. The spear will deal heavy damage and apply the
剖心飞刀
debuff to the targeted player. A

will spawn at the targeted player's location, as well as a pool of

at their feet.
Blood Globules will move toward Kilrogg, and if a Globule reaches him, it will explode, dealing moderate raid-wide damage with

The Blood Globule is immune to all movement-impairing effects

target should run away from Kilrogg to give the Blood Globule a longer path to the boss
The raid must quickly kill the Blood Globule to prevent its detonation

Death Throes
Approximately every 40 seconds, upon reaching a full Energy bar, Kilrogg will cast

. This ability deals moderate to strong raid-wide damage over 8 seconds, diminishing as players get further away from the boss. Additionally, Kilrogg will spray fel projectiles around the room, targeting players at range; standing in one of these bolts will deal very heavy damage.
Each time Kilrogg casts

, causing all subsequent casts to deal more damage

Vision of Death
Vision of Death runesFinally, Kilrogg will cast

approximately every 80 seconds, creating a set of three runes in front of him. Each rune will transport one player standing within it to experience a vision of their own death. If any rune is not occupied when Kilrogg completes the

cast, no players will be sent to the vision, and instead the raid will take heavy raid-wide damage.
The raid should designate groups of 3 players - 2 DPS and a healer - to enter the
死亡幻象
realm
Players who enter the

Kilrogg Deadeye Strategy Summary
Kilrogg has a lot of health, and there are many competing target priorities in the fight. Killing Kilrogg will involve maximizing the DPS of players affected by
永恒的决心
.
Before starting the encounter, select two

teams of 2 DPS and 1 healer, organize an interrupt rotation for Hulking Terrors, and choose a location to which players affected by
剖心飞刀
should run.
Ranged DPS/healers should start out stacked up on one side of the corridor, and move across to the other side during
死亡挣扎
.
Tanks should swap duties each time a Hulking Terror spawns, and when tanking Kilrogg, put up Active Mitigation during his
碎甲
attack.
Face Hulking Terrors away from the melee to prevent

from damaging them or afflicting them with
邪能腐蚀
.
When a Hulking Terror is close to death, the tank should drag it away from the melee to prevent
邪能破裂
damage.
Ranged DPS should prioritize targets as follows: Blood Globules > Salivating Bloodthirsters > Hulking Terrors > Kilrogg Deadeye
Melee DPS should prioritize targets as follows: Hulking Terrors > Kilrogg Deadeye
Whenever

goes out, the target should move to a designated location to spawn the Blood Globule
Face Kilrogg towards the current ranged DPS location for

so the runes are easily accessible
Players who are sent into the

cast will be transported to a Royal Quarter where they assist Archmage Khadgar in defending against an onslaught of demons.
The Royal Quarter is overrun by demons
Players can stay in the Royal Quarter for up to 1 minute, until they "die", or until they gain 20 stacks of the buff and are automatically transported out
While in the

, players suffer from
死亡幻象
damage
Every demon that is killed - regardless of who kills it - will grant each player in the Royal Quarter a buff
DPS players will gain a stack of

This healer should also use their throughput cooldown(s) for

that occur while they are buffed with additional healing

The DPS legendary ring effect should be used at the start of the fight, and again when players are buffed by

The healer legendary ring should be used as a throughput cooldown for

, especially if there are no other cooldowns available. Because there is very little raid damage outside of the
死亡挣扎
, there is little point in trying to time the absorption shield part of the legendary ring effect for
死亡挣扎
.
The tank legendary ring should be used to assist tanks in surviving
死亡挣扎
damage.
Gaining Ariok as a Garrison Follower
To free Ariok, kill Kilrogg in under 5:15The achievement
泥口脱险
requires players to defeat Kilrogg on Normal or higher difficulties without allowing

to die, and rewards
阿里乌克
as a garrison follower.
Ariok cannot be healed by players, and does not take damage from any of the mechanics of the encounter. However, he does gain
邪能腐蚀
at a rate of 1 Corruption every 3 seconds. This also afflicts him with the
邪能腐蚀
DoT, which will slowly bleed his health away. The DoT grows more severe as Ariok's
邪能腐蚀
increases, so completing this achievement is a matter of killing Kilrogg quickly - Ariok will die 5 minutes and 15 seconds after Kilrogg is engaged.
There is nothing players can do to prolong Ariok's life; not even the
永恒的救赎
buff will remove Ariok's
邪能腐蚀
.
Looking For Raid Difficulty
All of these same mechanics appear in Looking for Raid difficulty. However, the potency of the Fel Blood Globules'
邪能血涌
has been significantly reduced, so that groups who make mistakes with
剖心飞刀
will still be able to complete the encounter.

Heroic Difficulty
Stay out of the Heart Seeker path,indicated by the red arrowOn Heroic and higher difficulties, Kilrogg's
剖心飞刀
spell will also strike all targets in a line between his position and the
剖心飞刀
target's position. Each player struck will receive the
剖心飞刀
debuff, spawn a Blood Globule, and leave a pool of
溅血
at their feet.
Targeted players should run the
剖心飞刀
effect to a designated location, and the rest of the raid should be sure to avoid standing in the path between Kilrogg and the target, as indicated by the arrow at the base of Kilrogg's model. This is particularly important for tanks and melee, who will be debuffed with
邪能腐蚀
and will spawn the scarier Fel Blood Globule if struck by
剖心飞刀
.

Mythic Difficulty
Fel Puddles must be soakedOn Mythic difficulty, the Hulking Terrors leave a
邪能腐液
on the ground when they die. This
邪能腐液
deals no damage, but grants 6

per second to any player standing inside it.
The puddle holds about 80-90
邪能腐蚀
Once all of this
邪能腐蚀
is absorbed, the puddle will disappear
When Kilrogg Deadeye casts

, any existing

s will spawn a Fel Blood Globule
To avoid this from happening, the raid must assign several players to soak the
邪能腐液
A group of five or six players is enough to keep the
邪能腐蚀
gains moderately low, but the Hulking Terror tank probably should not soak
Players should not kill a Hulking Terror if a
死亡挣扎
is imminent; however, once Kilrogg has begun a
死亡挣扎
, it is safe to kill the Terror - a Fel Blood Globule will not spawn
It is an equally valid option to simply not soak the
邪能腐液
, and allow the Fel Blood Globule to spawn. This reduces the amount of coordination required by the raid, but does increase the number of adds the raid must kill. In order to execute this strategy, the tank must pull the Hulking Terror away from the boss and melee when it is about to die, and ranged DPS must assist with the interrupts on
撕裂嚎叫
.
Kilrogg's

ability now grants every player 1

each time it ticks, and 5
邪能腐蚀
if a player is struck by one of the projectiles.
All players will gain at least 9

will slowly fade, but not fast enough to disappear before the next

Note that players will also be affected by Fel Blood while they have

This means that, following the first

s will spawn Fel Blood Globules rather than Blood Globules
It is vital that only the targeted player be struck by
剖心飞刀
, and that the Fel Blood Globule spawns far from Kilrogg
The extra
邪能腐蚀
mechanics in the fight mean the raid should send a healer down with each
死亡幻象
to gain
永恒的救赎
and protect the
邪能腐液
team from
恶魔附身
. In Mythic difficulty, Kilrogg allows three players to enter at a time, so two DPS and one healer can be sent with each
死亡幻象
.
Also note that

lasts for 5 minutes on Mythic Difficulty. Raids must designate 3 separate
死亡幻象
-soaking groups, and the aim is to kill Kilrogg before he finishes casting his fourth
死亡幻象
, approximately 5:15 into the fight. If he does get the cast off, the raid can send 3 sacrificial players into the Vision realm and finish off the boss.
剖心飞刀
now leaves a permanent DoT on the struck player(s). Abilities like
保护祝福
can remove the DoT, but this should be used wisely; players who enter the
死亡幻象
lose their
剖心飞刀
debuff, so
保护祝福
should be reserved for players who will not be entering the
死亡幻象
in order to prevent the most damage.
Once Kilrogg reaches 40% health, his
剖心飞刀
casts will begin choosing two targets rather than one. The targeted players must be sure to position themselves so they are not in each other's arrows.
Void Tendrils are great for rootingSalivating BloodthirstersFinally, each time that adds spawn, there will be four Salivating Bloodthirsters rather than three.
As before, one of the Salivating Bloodthirsters will spawn directly above the fel pool and immediately transform to a Hulking Terror
The other three will spawn on slightly staggered timers from three of the four alcoves along the corridor
Players can root Salivating Bloodthirsters up to three times before they become immune
Abilities such as
纠缠根须
and
虚空触须
are better choices for this than shorter-term roots like
陷地图腾
Use slows to give players enough time to kill the non-rooted Bloodthirster, and then slow the other two Bloodthirsters when they become immune to roots
It is very important not to allow additional Hulking Terrors to spawn since they will add a large amount of
邪能腐蚀
to the raid, making it too hard to avoid

A word on the Vision of Death part.
As this guide has very helpfully stated, the runes will be placed on the ground in a vertical line in
front
of the boss. However, if Kilrogg is too close to a wall and facing toward it when the runes come out, this will cause one or more of them to land on the wall in full or in part. If this occurs, any rune that is touching the wall
will not work
. Thus, the tanks need to make sure that they are prepared for the cast and face the boss well away from a wall beforehand. Ideally your raid should be positioned so that pointing the runes toward the group will face them away from a wall, allowing the designated players to get to the runes quickly and easily.
Green "fel flames" will appear around the rune once it has detected that a player is standing in it. Each rune can only teleport 1 player into the vision each, so make sure each person knows which rune they are assigned to ahead of time.

before you either die or 1min has passed. Being geared at around 690 on average in Normal mode, our group found it difficult to stay alive for long without popping CDs. Remember, you only get 1min max in there, and a LOT of demons will be appearing in that short amount of time. It goes

quickly, so be prepared to go nuts and pop your CDs as fast as you can as soon as the mobs start wailing on you. However, depending on raid comp, healers may want to save certain healing CDs for after they have exited the vision.

Most dps do not wish to miss out on the last few percent of life on any boss, that execute phase amirite. If you get Visions of Death during the execute phase and you don't want to miss out on murdering the boss but don't want to do damage to the raid from not standing in the 3 Visions marks on the ground, go in and immediately step off the platform and poof you are back. You can let the mobs that spawn kill you, but this is faster since it takes a few seconds for them to run around and enter the stepped area. You can stay in and try to get a few extra stacks, but Kilrogg may be lootable by the time you get out.

It says to use Hero/TW at the start -- but I've seen many groups do it as soon as the first group exit their Vision with their extra damage buff.
