This strategy guide covers how to defeat the Chronomatic Anomaly boss encounter and notable trash on all difficulties. Chronomatic Anomaly is the second boss in

Players must first defeat Skorpyron before gaining access to Chronomatic Anomaly, who can be found patrolling around the Nightwell at the base of the Nighthold complex.
Chronomatic Anomaly is available the week of January 17th on Normal and Heroic, January 24th on LFR and Mythic.

splitting, and DPS can switch to the non-casting Fulminant while the casting Fulminant is being dragged away.
Other Difficulties
Fulminants gain different amounts of Energy from

target on different difficulties:
LFR: 1 Energy per player struck
Normal: 3 Energy per player struck
Heroic: 5 Energy per player struck
Mythic: 10 Energy per player struck
On Heroic and Mythic difficulties it may be necessary to reduce the number of targets struck by

in order to reduce the number of times Fulminants will cast

. As long as the Fulminant does not reach full Energy from a single

cast, the damage will be manageable. This means no more than 19 players soaking
散射
on Heroic, and no more than 9 soaking

on Mythic.
Shield deflects damage, while Beamdamages all players in front of the Pulsauron.The two mechanics won't always be facing the same direction.Pulsaurons are high-health but trivial mobs that deal easily avoidable damage. They cannot be tanked, and have no threat table; the Pulsaurons simply patrol in a defined path.
Pulsaurons are protected by a
盾牌
that deflects all attacks from one direction
As the Pulsauron patrols around, the
盾牌
's facing may change, so players must be aware and adjust position to continue dealing damage
Approximately every 12 seconds, the Pulsauron will cast

Pulsaurons should be the lowest DPS priority target in any trash pack.
In packs that contain all three types of enemies, the raid should focus on killing Chaotoids first, so that their

strategy. Then kill the Fulminants, and finally the Pulsaurons. Healers should use cooldowns liberally to heal through the initial damage of these larger pulls.
Clear all of the trash in the Nightwell before engaging Chronomatic Anomaly. Note that he patrols around the room, and be wary of his position to avoid pulling him during trash. Groups may wish to consider using

Chronomatic Anomaly Abilities
This guide provides tips and strategies for defeating the

encounter on Normal difficulty. Changes to the fight for Looking for Raid, Heroic, and Mythic difficulties are listed below in their respective sections, including suggestions for dealing with the new mechanics introduced in these difficulties.
The Chronomatic Anomaly fight requires players to burst down priority targets about every minute, and then to quickly kill a small handful of mobs. The encounter has moderate to heavy movement requirements and requires interrupts and AoE CC for the small mob spawns.

The Nightwell has distorted the

in the areas around it, causing fluctuation in the speed at which time passes. This mechanic breaks the fight into phases, each one characterized by the speed of time:

has no effect on players, and is the phase that the fight will begin in

also affect the abilities that Chronomatic Anomaly will cast. These differences will be mentioned in each spell's specific section in this guide.
The fight is unique in that Chronomatic Anomaly will use these abiilities in a different order on each difficulty. Even within the same difficulty, Chronomatic Anomaly will use his abilities at different times and in different orders in each phase. Because of this, there is no real way to list most of the spell cooldowns and frequencies here; consult a boss mod if you require more details on timing.
In LFR, Normal, and Heroic modes, Chronomatic Anomaly will cycle through the phases in the following order:

The first four phases are triggered by using the

interaction; the time speed will shift immediately when the tank interrupts

. Subsequent phases become uncoupled from this interaction, making the fight feel very unpredictable.
After 7 minutes, Chronomatic Anomaly will enrage and cast Full Power, if he isn't dead by this point the raid will wipe very quickly.
Waning Time Particles and Fragmented Time Particles
Interrupt Warp Nightwell and kill adds quicklyOccasionally, a

will spill out of the Nightwell and spawn an add. The Waning Time Particle is a priority DPS target, and the raid should switch to it quickly.
Waning Time Particles are stationary and will spawn approximately 90 degrees away from the boss's position in either a clockwise or anti-clockwise direction
Look for the small white cloud that indicates the position at which the add will spawn, and move to it
The Waning Time Particle will attack its current threat target with

, dealing moderate Arcane damage
It will also cast

frequently, dealing moderate damage to all players

is a simple mechanic; Chronomatic Anomaly will mark the floor at several random players' feet, and then launch a projectile at those locations. This occurs in three rapid waves, and each wave consists of 5 projectiles.
Players should move away in order to avoid taking damage from the

. The phase of the fight determines how long players have to dodge these projectiles.

will take moderate damage. This can quickly add up to fatal damage if players are struck by several

in a short window of time.

move is dictated by the

In addition, the waves themselves move at different speeds, so there will sometimes be places in the room where the

present an unbroken line and players will be unable to dodge all of them. This position is different in each phase.
Avoid as many

as possible. During the

phase, healers may wish to use cooldowns to help the raid survive, as many of the orbs may be moving too quickly to easily dodge.

During each phase, Chronomatic Anomaly will debuff players with

. This applies a healing absorption shield to the targeted players.

is removed when the healing absorption shield has been depleted
If the debuff expires naturally, instead of being healed away, it will deal damage to the targeted player equal to the amount of healing absorption remaining
Healers should focus on healing these players quickly to remove the shields
The icon for the ability changes based on how much healing absorption is left

Heroic Difficulty
On Heroic difficulty, the Waning Time Particles'

casts become uninterruptible once the add's health drops below 30%. To compensate, each stack of the

damage by 5%.
Mythic Difficulty
Split the raid to handle dual Waning Time ParticlesOn Mythic difficulty, two Waning Time Particles will spawn, on opposite sides of the Nightwell.
The raid will have to assign groups to handle the "left" vs "right" adds
Do not split the raid evenly - tanks must stick together to continue swapping for

Send stronger DPS and more healers to the side with the tanks, and fewer healers/heavy interrupts to the side without the tanks
Avoid pushing both Waning Time Particles below 30% health at the same time
The side with the tanks should kill the Waning Time Particle quickly, so that a tank can interrupt

This group should finish off the Fragmented Time Particles before moving over to assist the smaller group with their adds
Both of the Waning Time Particles will create

s. It may not be necessary to collect the second add's

from this, as it may be a while before the tank can use it to interrupt

, and another set of adds may spawn in the meantime. Use your judgement on whether to collect the

Last night when going for this boss on normal we had a few tries when we ended up with the boss at around 10%, when he gains the ability
Full Power
that makes him run around the center of the room at high speed and being uninterruptible.
First we thought this was a mechanic like
Power Overwhelming
, but that is not the case, they have nothing to do with each other. The fact that we found almost no information on
Full Power
in neither the dungeon journal nor anywhere else is the reason for this post.
The conclusion we drew is that it's a soft enrage, since the solution we found was to just burn him down faster.

I think the guide is off on the actual live abilities of the trash. I've never noticed a Chaotid to Compress the Void. Fulminants do not move during Fulminate and I have not noticed the Scatter mechanic working at all. Pulsaurons do not patrol, nor can they be moved. They simply spin slowly in place with their shield, sometimes teleport the raid to a spot in front of them, then fire a wide damage beam at that spot a few seconds after. The Pulsaurons can teleport you uncomfortably close to the boss's patrol path, and scattering from it can result in a pull.

On 7.2 theres an extra add, which i strongly beilive summoned by fulminant, name is ebulirant. New add looks like an orb (electrical) more importantly casting a skill named burst. As usual theres a cast time which is unintruptable and explodes at end of the casting. Making aoe magical damage outburst to raid. Thats why that new orbs need to be focused and killed before they explodes. I also strongly want to remind you that you can use bloodlust /heroism when you are cleaning trashes just before boss and reset your exhausted debuff many time simply attacking boss and pulling it to stairs.

In BFA, this boss is soloable - I barely took any damage as a 352 Frost DK. I had problems the first few times, however - the Chronmetric Particles debuff would stack to 10 and it would insta-kill me. After a few times around, I found the trick - Do NOT interrupt Power Overwhelming! The cast won't hurt you very much and it will keep the boss busy long enough for the debuff to drop off. Just kill the adds, let him channel the cast and ignore the temporal Charge or use it right after your debuff wears off.
