If it helps, capping Snowfall GY right at the start of the game counts as an 'assault' despite it being a neutral graveyard.

As a horde Mage I tried about 6 games to do this, and you will need some luck, timing, and cooperation to do this. Some coaxing of your fellow horde (telling them to go elsewhere (Go kill Bal - so you can take Icewing - or asking them to help you I.E. dont cap this etc. I'm being a fat nerd and trying to get All-Star)
The first thing I did was just nuked some lowbie in the giant string of allies that run down the field of strife, just targeting different ones and when you see some sub-65 blow your cooldowns on him. Next try to assault a tower. If you're still alive from the field, you can head to Icewing bunker, otherwise try to stealth take one of the Northern/Southern bunkers. As for the graveyard you can take Snowfall GY once the alliance have pushed forward and the game is coming near an end or if you good enough you can take Stormpike.
Defending is definitely the tricky part. I find that defending a GY is really luck based, as this goes for towers as well. Your best bet is hoping someone tries to ninja Frostwolf relief hut, and one of the east or west towers. If they're getting towers, chances are they will get one and then get the other, so you can probably defend one of the towers while the ninja is getting the other one.
Cliff notes version:
1. Nuke lowbie in field of Strife
2. Assult Icewing Bunker
3. Either try to ninja Storpike GY or wait for Snowfall GY
4. Pray someone tries to ninja Frostwolf Relief Hut, and the West and East Frostwolf towers, or just coax everyone to go on D and spam that right click.

Having the AV trinket on to recall is definitely a good idea for this. I didn't think I'd get it until I saw someone cap the relief hut. A quick recall back and I had my achievement.

This achievement really is a combination of luck and drive and I doubt anyone will get it by chance. If you are Horde and do not fear the wrath of your fellow combatants taking Snowfall from the Alliance to try and force a turtle would probably give you a fresh set of chances and a lot more time to get all the caps you need. (Thankfully I didn't need to resort to such measures.) Some good pointers are:
For defending, generally a really early bird or two will ride into your home base and cap while NPCs are still up, these can be recapped more easily than during mass combat. Other opportunities are if the enemy is defending their home base strongly, sometimes they will attempt to recapture their gy a few times giving you more chances to be the one to clickyclicky. Towers are harder than gys to defend and so you should take any chance to do so as your priority.
For assaulting, either ride ahead of the pack and stop for nothing, or, in the case of a turtle, hope that there is enough gy swapping to allow you to assault some again. Riding ahead lowers your chances of getting defense caps, or so I found. And thus I actually got my defense caps FIRST and then rode back up to assault things the alliance had retaken.

I got this achievement the other night.
Being a Paladin with Crusader Aura sure helped. Got a Tower and a GY assault before the rest of my alliance team decided there was in fact too much horde defending Galv.

I just did this last night, here's how -
1 - Rode to SH GY, let someone else pull guards, capped GY.
2 - Tried for IW bunker, someone else grabbed it.
3 - Snuck around under the bridge assaulted Dun Baulder North Bunker
4 - Jumped off ravine, killed self to rez at SH GY
Now this where I got lucky -
5 - Recapped FW GY - there was no one guarding it
6 - Alliance tried taking towers in base, easy re-caps
7 - Hung out in the FoS waiting on alliance.
I think the concept of attack first, then defend then go for the FoS kill is probably the best option.

I've done this two or three times. It helps a lot if you are stealth.
Alliance
01. Cap Snowfall graveyard
02. Defend Stonehearth graveyard
03. Kill Horde in Field of Strife
04. Cap a tower in Frost Wolf.
05. Recall to Dun Balder and defend a bunker.

Managed to do this in a game with about 8 alliance and 20 horde very early in the morning (i'm alliance).
1. Capped Snowfall Graveyard
2. Capped Iceblood Tower
3. Killed a horde in the Field of Strife heading back up.
4. Took back SH graveyard.
5. Took back Icewing Bunker.
It went surprisingly smooth but took about 4 or 5 games to get it right. I would suggest defending a graveyard as soon as you can, that seemed to be the hardest part alongside killing Horde in the field, they tend to just want to ride past.

This one is really hard in my current BG where we (horde) are 40ppl and ally usually around 10, which means they VERY rarely attack our towers and GYs, not to mention how hard it is to get a kill in field of strife.

If you do the assaulting parts first, you're much more likely to squeeze everything in. For once, over-extended stalemates are a good thing.

I've tried doing this achievement since 3.1.2, did assaulting gy/towers first, then defending tower/gy. The problem I'm having with this is getting credit for killing someone in the field of strife.
3 times today (29 May 2009) I have received credit for everything but the killing portion. I've killed people while we were both in the field of strife multiple times. I got the KB, did 100% of the damage, no achievement.
I did notice that the 'Sickly Gazelle' is a bit buggy, as I died one time, it gave the opposing faction credit for that particular achievement when I was never mounted (stealthed druid hanging out trying to pick off people).
Any other people experiencing similar issues?

Just completed this achievement (Horde Rogue). As comments have stated above, getting a leg up on assaulting puts you in a good place for it. I personally prefer to use Stonehearth Graveyard as my first step, immediately mount up and go for Icewing Tower as my second. After that, it's a matter of how lightly defended Alliance leaves Iceblood Tower/Graveyard to get a quick snatch on the defending criteria, and whether or not you're lucky enough to pick off a last-minute straggler in the Field of Strife. Definitely a situation-based achievement, and you're obviously not going to be put in a guaranteed position to get it every time, making this rather rewarding.

Just got this achievement today.
I would suggest to do it in this order.
1.Run And Cap Snowfall Graveyard
2.Kill Someone In Field Of Strife
3.Assault Tower
4.Defend A Tower And A Graveyard.
When it comes down to it,you are in need of some luck.

I see a rogue mounted so I go to kill him after a good fight I died right before he died and it didn't count it. I was like wtf you are kidding me. Lucky after i rezed there was a shadow priest afk in the middle of the field. :)

As a feral Tauren druid with Feral Charge... Do the following in order. It will take some time since a Blitz run can totally mess up your flow but after awhile, you'll know exactly what to do.
Cap a Tower
1) 5 seconds before AV starts, use Dash and be first out of the cave and on your mount.
2) Stay in the lead pack and travel to Stonehearth Bunker.
3) Shift into cat form to dismount as soon as you get to the crater on the southern-side of the bunker.
4) Target the nearest archer and feral charge to get in the bunker.
5) Make your way to the flag and position yourself behind a pillar so you're LOS. Keep tagging the flag. As other players enter the bunker the archers will target them giving you enough time to cap. Once you cap, jump off the west side of the tower and head into the Field of Strife.
Kill a Player in the Field of Strife
Its important that you not spend too much time on this. Simply kill a player in the field on your way to Snowfall GY or, if lucky, thank the nearest horde player who killed someone for you. If you don't get this by the time you make it to Snowfall then you might get it on your way south after Snowfall GY Cap.
Capture a Graveyard
Alliance seem to always leave Snowfall GY unattended. Run up the mountain, capture, and head south for an easy GY Cap. (Remember to kill an alliance player if you see one and haven't received credit for a kill.)
Defend a Graveyard
Frostwolf Graveyard and Iceblood Graveyard are the easiest GYs to defend. To defend a graveyard, you must capture it before it turns to the Alliance. Personally, I've found greater success at Frostwolf Graveyard.
Defend a Tower
Immediately after you've completed the first four objectives, use your
Frostwolf Insignia Rank 6
to return to the Frostwolf Keep. As a druid, I had the benefit of stealthing to the side and waiting for an alliance player to show up and Ninja a tower. If the alliance have pushed hard to the south this may be the hardest point to take a tower. Unfortunately, Tower Point and Iceblood Tower have most likely been taken. So, have patience and wait for that alliance player that makes his way south to Ninja the Frostwolf towers. When you see one capped, wait until you see him push into the other tower (so he doesn't see you come out of hiding.) Now, go to the top and cap for great victory.

As a Troll Priest, I am currently working on this and have worked out the following at least for 2 of the 5 steps.
1) Before the start of the game, whilst in the cave, set yourself to autorun, and stand at the gate front, running in place against the gate. When he gate opens you'll get a little head start on all those people sitting back a bit or not paying 100% attention for the start of the game (helps with people with some latency issues as well).
2) As soon as you get out of the cave, mount up, and autorun/ride with the lead pack. More often than not you'll get a Pally with the riding aura turned on so you can further outdistance the rest of the horde pack. You aim here is to get in front, or at the very front of the pack as you can - you need to be first to the graveyard.
3) Ride in a direct line to Stonehearth Graveyard as fast as possible. No stops, no diverts. Most people will peel off for Galv or Balinda. Head to Stonehearth and ride right up to the flag, and PW:Shield yourself (this should auto-dismount you). Fear the 4 guards standing around the flag and instantly attempt to cap the flag/graveyard.
Following these first 3 steps I can get this graveyard about 90% of the time.
Then I mount back up and ride up to the Stormpike Alliance base and ride into the South Bunker at Dun Baldar (the bunker on the left after you cross the bridge into the Alliance base). I tend to have to fight the one NPC who sits at the bottom of the steps outside the bunker, but he is pretty easy/quick to burn down. Then I cap the flag for the tower. I find this is a little bit trickier, because sometimes another hordey may get there first, or may beat you to the flag while you are dps'ing the npc. Sometimes another horde or two will run into the tower and attack the npc's trying to clear the tower, just ignore and go for the flag! I think I get about a 60-75% rate on this tactic.
Note, for the first two steps it doesn't matter if the Alliance take it back... you just need to cap it in the first instance.
As for defending a tower/graveyard, it now depends a lot on luck, especially for a healing priest. These days the main Alliance tactic is to zerg the horde base, so recalling or going back to Frostwolf is not the almost guaranteed tactic it used to be. However, it's still probably the best (hoping you get a recall where the Alliance have been held up somewhere).
As for killing someone in the field of strife... well I would generally leave this to the end - there are people riding through here all the time. Once you get the first (hardest) four tasks done, you just have to find an appropriate victim.
Let me know if you can suggest a helpful tactic for healers to do this.

I was able to complete this on my shaman a few days ago, this is how I managed to do it. (Horde PoV)
1) Assault a Tower. Try to get in the front of the pack, and assault Stonehearth Bunker. Typically, it's never guarded, but an easy tip is to stand on the window on the right side, to LoS the arrows since they interupt.
2) Assault a GY- I went directly across and assaulted Snowfall GY. Very easy, and usually quick, if it hasn't been capped at all, there may be one alliance, but very manageable to get those 2 right off the bat.
3) Defend a GY- By the time I finished those two, it was maybe 3 or 4 minutes into the game, which meant the large cluster of ally, were in our base. Of course, they almost always assault Frostwold GY, and leave it un defended. This makes it one of the easiest gy to defend.
4) Defend a Tower- This can be a little challenging. In the bg prior to getting the achievement, I went to try this in Iceblood tower and Tower Point, but both are usually heavily guarded. However, it is much easier to defend in your own base! Use the trinket if you have it to return, and the Frostwolf towers tend to be assaulted an un guarded. This makes it really easy if you can sneak by and defend. (Invis Potion may help, I didn't need one though. I was able to defend both!)
5) A kill in the field of strife- This has ruined my hopes of getting the achievement multiple times. Needless to say it takes a little bit of luck. On my achievement run, on my way to assaulting a tower, members of my team picked off a few in the field, and I was able to get credit. But, I have gone 4/5 requirements and lost it because of this. Usually, if you don't get this withing the first 5 minutes or so, it probably won't be too easy to get. So, I strongly recommend trying to knock this off as you do the assault a tower.
Hope this helped some! Good luck to all of your Battle masters in training :)

Just got it today as a 65 rogue, my first time attempting this achievement. I used the suggested strat above and it worked like a hot damn!
I always keep autorun on when the game is about to start, and I popped sprint 5 seconds before the gates opened, if you're a srs diehard you can run to the left or right a bit where the ground becomes mountable (?) about a yard or 2 before the middle part does, giving you that extra half second of time, which counts when racing DKs/Pallies with increased mount speed.
I hopped on my chopper and was a good 20-30 yards ahead of the pack, assaulted Snowfall GY then doubled back to defend Stonehearth Bunker, I think you need a bit of luck to find this place unguarded, and for me there was only 1 priest at 50% HP defending and attacking the NPCs. Ambush, mut, kidney shot,GG! I got the tower defense then picked off a clothie in Field of Strife as I ran south. I dont know where the team was or why they were moving so slow but I managed to cap Tower Point and didn't even have to go to the horde base.
I then used the trinket to get back to the top of the map as Stormpike GY had been assaulted. I was calling for the GY defense cap in /bg, and was 2 seconds from having it when i got ganked by a 70 twink and then some d-bag defended it while I waited to rez. After much swearing in /g and assurances that the guy who stole my cap would die of nutsack cancer, the horde capped Stonehearth GY.. I ran my ass south and when I got there the score was 300-7 and we were about to win. As soon as the mage who capped ran 20ish yards away I began to cap, my heart thumping like crazy, hands shaking.. right as I capped and got achievement I got smoked by a frostbolt, and then the game ended, we won. Intense!
Well, that's my story. If you plan on doing this in a random BG and/or without stealth it's probably worthwhile to have some friends helping. Good luck everyone!

I got this **FINALLY** last night with the help of 4 guildies. Started out by grabbing the first tower and the first graveyard. Getting the graveyard was pure luck and good timing...The guy that was already there got taken out by a rogue so I capped while my fellow guildies took the rogue down. Next we dropped back down to Iceblood Tower and defended that and then got my next bit of luck - - An Alliance Pally had capped the GY right there and then ran off, it was nothing to recap. Final requirement was to kill someone in the Field of Strife. That one was tricky as by this time most all the Alliance were down where they should be attacking our keep...Finally got some Allies that weren't following the pack but they were on the very edge so me and my guildies had to pull them in to down one. Didin't get credit. :-( In fact, I died! So, I rezzed, hoping and praying some silly Ally would be rambling along not paying attention and sure enough there he was. A Worgen rogue....HAHAHAHA! FINALLY GOT THE ACHIEVEMENT! It was 100% pure luck and good timing. I wish everyone the best of luck in trying to get this...and hope you bring a friend or two!

here's how I did it
1) captured snowfall graveyard
2) then captured iceblood tower
after this i got lucky
3) i died and rezzed at stormpike graveyard before it got capped 1 sec later. i killed the horde that capped it and recapped stormpike graveyard.
4) then 1 horde stealthed and capped north dun baldur tower and i recapped it
5) then i somehow made it past the huge turtle near icewing bunker and waited in the field of strife until a weak warlock came long and i ambushed him
theres no one strategy to get this achievement, you just have to see how the game is going and adjust your strategy from there

Not all luck as most state. You can plan and get this achievement without much hassle. I got this the 24th May on Alliance level 85 Mage in a PUG. Not difficult at all. How I did this was straight off the bat went first down into Horde territory and assaulted Tower Point while my teammates were attacking Galv - do not hang around for it to get destroyed - you are not trying to win the BG you are farming achievements so time is of essence. I then went up North took the Snowfall GY till we owned it, went across the bridge and hid behind a mound of ice watching for horde to come back to recap. When they initiated the recap they went away up north, I came across bridge and defended the GY (It has to be in your control).
Note
:
You could also simply attack an enemy GY down south and attempt to defend the one you capped or one of your own during enemy cap back up north but you will be forced to fight for it. With the Snowfall GY people just grab and leave so gives you a free reign to defend it
.
Then as I proceeded up North to defend a base I got a HK in the field of strife by this time alot of the Alliance players were attempting to turtle up in DB so I went back up and after several attempts defended a base - when defending a base don't run straight in and attack hang back let your teammates take the aggro and the fight - when the last interrupting defender is alone and getting burned down you initiate the recap.
There is no luck whatsoever with this achievement, you just have to plan it correctly - attack first, defend later. If you do it vice-versa you will need enemy to recap one of their bases thus its out of your control. In the natural flow of most AV battles, you should attack base, attack snowfall GY, defend the same GY, get kill in field of strife and then defend a base up north. This is only really achievable during a turtle, if it looks like developing into a turtle you should attempt this.

Just got this as a solo unholy dk. Took probably 20-30 tries. Most games end in a quick zerg these days so this is a hard achievement. Here's what I did every time till it worked:
(1) Beeline for the first tower, LOS the guards, and cap it. With practice, you can get this most of the time.
(2) Immediately use insignia to get back to the keep. You will arrive ~20 sec before the first enemy. Run up one of the towers and wait for the first enemy to stumble up the steps, half-dead from the guards. Wait outside the door and let them cap. Then run in, kill them (helps to be geared of course), and recap. This worked for me about 50% of the time. If you get these first two tower objectives done, you are in good shape.
(3) Jump out of the tower away from the keep and run toward the center of the map. Ideally, you will come across an undefended graveyard that you can recap.
(4) Head to field of strife. If you see an enemy, kill them right away. Otherwise head to snowfall graveyard, which is likely uncapped. Cap it, then run back down to field of strife and wait for someone to kill if you haven't already.
(5) Steps 1-4 can potentially work even in a zerg. However, if you miss any of these steps, keep going down the list and hope for a reinforcement battle (maybe 1/4 of AVs?). When I got it, I failed at step 2, but kept going. Fortunately, there was one tower we controlled. After I did the other objectives, I camped the tower until our defenders got bored and left. A single enemy then capped it. I killed them and got the achieve with ~30 reinforcements left.

My strategy was to attack a tower and then find a tower which needed to be defended. When that was done, I headed for the graveyards to attack or defend wherever appropriate. The Snowfall graveyard was useful since there weren't many enemies there and people usually leave before the capture has been completed as it's not a strategically important one.

Just received this in a pug after many failed attempts. I found the standard av battle to be too short , usually resulting in one or more missed criteria for the achievement. For me , the ideal time for this is during Alterac Valley call to arms , because given the current state of the battleground's format , Alliance seems to have an advantage. Regardless what faction you belong to , it's immensely helpful to wait for for the opposing team to cause a turtle and take a defensive position. This helps prolong the game , allowing for more time to grab all the requirements listed. Here's what I did :
Immediately went to Iceblood graveyard for assault on flag.
Doubled back with a couple others and proceeded to retake stonehearth bunker. Fortunately for us , there were only two horde that far down because the rest were on defense to the south. I was able to retake the flag here.
No towers were available for assault at this time so i went south to capture coldtooth mine.
I spent about 10 minutes in around this area with a large group of alliance trying to gain control of Frostwolf graveyard.
Around this time , i noticed we had lost snowfall graveyard so i doubled back to help recap. When i arrived there were only two stealed horde , and i was able to survive and get the recapture.
Running back down into the field of strife i notice a few fighting in the field of strife so i moved in and got a kill here.
I headed south and fought in a group for a considerable period of time , until i noticed yet again snowfall graveyard fell. After recapping , I decided to stay in the northern area , and noticed that Icewing bunker had been taken. I ran in and capped , resulting in achievement.
try to wait for a longer battle , keep checking the map , and best of luck !

Got it on my lvl 63 Rogue today (Master done, finally)!
It was easier than i expected. Here's how i did:
1 - Capped Snowfall GY.
2 - Ran to Field of Strife and got a HK on a lazy Horde.
3 - Ran to IBT but it was capped, so i ran again and capped the Tower Point.
4 - Ran back and re-capped the Stonehearth GY (Horde rarelly defend it).
5 - Stonehearth Bunker was having some PvP (Ally trying to re-capp), so i ran to Icewing Banker and it was with only one Warrior guarding, near the flag.. haha, Sap+Cap, got my achiev! :P
In the end i just ran to Dun Baldar and re-capped the South Bunker when it was 10sec to be destroyed, and.. we win!
Fast, no deaths, really easier than i expected. :)

Hey all,
Here's how I did it on French server Elune this May 7, 2013, as an Alliance elf hunter and engineer.
First, I want to mention with players level 90, with many players full S12/S13 playing around in battlegrounds, this achievement is harder than ever, as the battleground tends to be over fast. But definitely possible given skill and determination. The longer the battleground, the better your chances _if_ you manage to assault a fresh tower and a graveyard early.
It took me 15-20 tries overall but I succeeded in 4 or 5 tries eventually using the following strategy:
1. I put the glyph of pathfinding to allow my mount to run faster.
2. I created a polite macro, asking in /say May I cap, because I'm doing this achievement blablabla.
Here's the reproductible part:
3. Taking a fast start, mounting as early as possible and running the a cliff edge with two pine trees of different sizes. There, I jumped and activated the deltaplane of engineer.
4. Upon landing, activated my booster belt.
5. Up the slope, remount and usually there only caught up by paladins and dk's.
6. Cap the Snowfall graveyard. If someone else is going for it, trigger the polite macro.
7. Head for the Iceblood tower. By then, it may have infight between your allies and the guards or Horde players. Help yourself by cleaning the one archer in front or the flag (or put your pet on her if you have one) and cap the flag. There, the macro may be in handy but don't fall off the ledges going for it. Map it to a key that you use for a less important spell.
At this point, you have attacked a graveyard and a tower. You may also have taken an opportunity victory in the field of strife. If not, do so now.
After you are done with the hv middle, check your map. All you need now is to defend a tower and a graveyard.
What happened is I used the insigna (30 seconds cooldown, so you need to anticipate when you want to use it) to teleport to Dun Baldar and headed south again for opportunity targets. I think I managed to defend the Iceblood graveyard. But my team was winning and I started to lose hope. Then Lady Luck smiled at me. The Stoneheart bunker was being capped. So I rushed and there was a rogue hiding. Got there, looked empty but as soon as I started defending he popped out, a very close duel ensued. I manage to make him flee out of the tower and finished the exhilarating cap. Couldn't believe it! I was as thrilled as when I looted my first T2 helmet seven years ago.
So if you make up your mind you want this achievement, don't give up. It's definitely possible. If you manage to have a reproductible basis like this, the rest is only a matter of tries.

Got this achieve on my first try for my 20,000th achieve point. :D
Perhaps I got lucky, but it really wasn't as daunting as you might think:
1.) At the start, I popped a Goblin Glider to float down the hill ahead of most of my allies.
2.) None of the 3 DK/Pallies at the front broke toward Snowfall GY, so that was a quick graveyard assault for me.
3.) Most of my allies were zerging Galv. I checked the map and saw a DK going for TP. Luckily, no one went toward IBT nor defended IBT. I ran up the tower, popped Mindbender/Fade on the guard in the doorway at the top, and got the flag assault.
4.) I immediately jumped out of the tower and headed back north. About this time, I checked my achievement progress and noticed I had the credit for the Field of Strife honorable kill.
5.) I rode past SHB (noticed a couple Hordies in it) toward Stonehearth GY. There was a lot of fighting ahead of me near IWB, but the Stonehearth GY flag appeared to be clear. My graveyard defense was denied by a stealth Rogue, however. I'm a healer, so I didn't really bother to waste time fighting him. I sprinted south toward SHB using my Rocket Boots. Apparently the Rogue didn't bother to pursue.
6.) I joined 2-3 other alliance backcappers at SHB, and we killed the Hordies fairly quickly, but I was unable to get the flag defense due to one of my teammates. Damn.
7.) I rode back north to that Stonehearth GY flag, and this time the stealth Rogue was somewhere else. Successful graveyard defense.
8.) I continued riding north to IWB, killed one low-health Hordie as I entered it, and to my great surprise only noticed one Hordie guarding the flag. There was at least one other backcapper with me, and we made very short work of the Hordie, but the entire time I was breaking for the flag to get in position. I easily capped it for the flag defense and achieve, with a good 3-4 minutes remaining still in the bg. :D
If you don't use an addon that displays timers, remember that it takes 4 minutes for all flags (towers/bunkers/graveyards) in AV to cap. This gives you more time than you might expect to get in your defenses. Good luck!

try to do this during the Anniversary Event because the new Alterac is way too short. Try to get the towers first because they are finite. This is an awful designed achievement. It goes against everything a BG should be about. It promotes needlessy chasing these objectives like capping snowfall graveyard while its the only forward spawnpoint of the enemy resulting in them respawning at their base halting your progress and causing an endless zergfest.
