His transform spell can be Disrupted by any sort.
A DK for example can do
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=47476
as well as
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=47528
The more he gets disrupted the faster his Transfrom spell will be. So before you try this, make sure to organise certain people to break his Spell in Time.
After the 6th Disruption his Spell gets almost instant, so not only you need to interrupt, you also need MAX Dps.

The cast time is increased by his health, not amount of interupts. We just did a 25 second kill and the 3rd was near instant and we didn't get achievement :<

can his cast time be slowed at all? (i.e. curse of tongues, wound poison)

Maybe you have to bring him to 40-30%, wait for the cast, interrupt it and then burn him down as quick as possible.

This is actually a fairly easy achievement to get with a properly constructed group. Mage SLOW and COUNTERSPELL both work against the mob. My group consisted of 1 enhance shaman, 1 rogue and 1 mage, plus a tank and healer.
We set up an interrupted order: Earth Shock -> Kick -> Earth Shock -> Counterspell. The counterspell was used at ~35% health as it silences for 8 seconds, giving us time to burn the boss down before he could get another cast off!
It is IMPERATIVE that you use your counterspell NO EARLIER than 35%.
If you time it right, you'll have your achievement!

My group had a lot of trouble with this achievement, and incidentally found a different way of completing it. All it requires is that you have 2 people in your party that can drop combat.
What to do:
-Engage the boss normally and bring him to about 15% (you don't need to worry about getting the interrupts except to make it easier healing-wise, as the plan is going to involve him turning into a mammoth).
-At 15% begin kiting the boss towards the ramp that heads to the entrance of the instance, bringing him about halfway up the ramp and doing very light dps with no dots as you go.
-Have your 2 combat droppers (we used a resto druid and an arcane mage) run back into the room where you pull the boss as he nears 1% and very carefully bring him to <5K hp as they drop out of combat (they need to make sure they're far enough away that they aren't hit by the quake)
-Die. I'm serious... the 3 people still in combat die and don't release. The boss will revert to human form and run back down the ramp at 1% health. The 2 people who dropped combat just need to nuke him real quick when he gets in LoS and everyone gets the achievement. It's sleazy, but it works.

Strangulate doesn't work, at least not on heroic. He's immune to silences, just interrupts work. So Mind Freeze yes, Strangulate no.

Arcane Torrent will not work. Neither will a Shadow Priest's silence, or Hunter's Silencing Shot. They have to be school lockouts, not global silences.

I can guarantee that his cast speed is in proportion to his HP. The lower his HP the faster the cast. It is not based on how many you interrupt. We just DPSed him to 85%, he did it. It was about a 3.8 cast. We then stopped all DPS. He casted another and it was still 3.8 cast. We kept interrupting them and they just stayed like that.

Okay, after using around 6-7 hours on this did we notice something that might make sense.
at 100% is his cast at 5sec, logic would say that it is 1.4sec at 30% but it's not, the cast time is increasing exponential OR the 0sec cast at 25%~
So thinking you wait at 35% then do you have around 0.4sec to react, then take away latency which is around 100ms i would say, so that would give 0.3sec or less to react for the last silence, hard but doable ! You just need a mage with a good ms and good reactions.
Using a mage as the last is of course of the 8 sec silence in the spellschool.
A guess would be in 1 month has blizzard done so you can CoT him and changed something on the Gotta Go! achievement so everyone with whatsoever group setup can do it, since I do not belive blizzard want us to stack this way we are working on for Gotta Go!
Good luck ! you'll need it, so will we ! ;)

This is very doable the normal way if you have the right group composition.
Two mages, a rogue/DPS warrior and a Prot Warrior/Prot Pally tank, all of them have interrupts, the most crucial of which belongs to the two mages.
The mages should restrain their interrupts until around 50%, upon which the first mage should CS so he can't transform. Once that CS is up, the next mage should use it to further prevent transformation.
This should be plenty of time to finish him off. Another possible option is to clear the room, have a mage (or both) spell steal the Metatonia (sp) buff from the mobs in Storm Peaks, summon them from the stone and then engage the boss asap.
This buff should provide huge burst capable of taking him down in huge chunks whilst he's CS'd.

We had a CS at 45% (a bit later than planned, but we figured it was okay with Bloodlust)
So at ~4% he starts casting another transform... 0.1s cast or less it was... So basically thanks to server lag you cannot interrupt it even if you ignore human reaction time, you'd actually have to cast the interrupt BEFORE he starts casting... /sigh
Kinda stupid achievement, they should make his caster shorter at max hp, and make the reduction less insane so you can still interrupt stuff below 30%.

At first I thought this was impossible, but luckily we made it.
Too bad they fixed it but ah-well...
The way to success is alot of dps, and at least 3 interrupters such as Warriors Rogue DKs etc.
Mage complained his CS didn't work, don't know what that was all about.
1st 2 casts should be normal, focus and do it on the right time, 3rd or either 4th cast if your group has slow dps, should be interrupted by luck, you don't have time to interrupt it unless u have really REALLY good latency.
Just have 2-3 people do interrupts in a row at the end, best thing to do is anticipate.
Thats the way we did it, now just to enjoy my red proto drake ^.^
Good luck everyone.

ok after letting several hundrets of gold at this guy we just done it with veeeeeeeeeery much luck. 3rd kick was ~20% and it was luck that we kicked this cast. the 4 was at 2% and i just hit the kick in hope that the boss will cast in this second
group was: holypriest, ret-paladin, prot-warrior (me), unholy-dk, demo-warlock
1st trans was kicked by DK
2nd was kicked by prot
3rd was kicked by DK
4th was luckily kicky by prot
wl and ret did full damage
some further info
- wl-felhunter kick works only when you kick manually not when you do it automatically. but the boss is immune to the silence part of it
- ret-hammer kicks but does not stun
- prot concussion blow and heroic throw dont kick or stun
- silence of bloodelf does not work
-
i think with more powerful DPS, synergie, etc this achiement will be easier, but in most cases/groups its just luck.
Good luck everyone!

1. Get a night elf. Better druid or rogue.
2. Make your elf pull the boss and run to the exit (use sprint/dash here for survivability) while the group is positioned on the another side of the room (no one wants to get in combat except the elf).
3. once the boss gets far put your tank into the boss' return path (easily predictable IMO)
4. when boss switches form and tank is positioned, use shadowmeld on your elf.

The key for this achievement seems to be getting a long interrupt (counterspell works best) while it's still humanly interruptible at around 35%-45% and having enough dps to burn him down before he can cast again. We tried this a few times, but kept getting a cast at around 10-25% by nuking fully from the start.
On our latest attempt we simply decided to wait a small amount of time until starting dps to get a counterspell at around 40-45% health instead, and took him down before he started casting again without problems. You could also try getting a lucky interrupt, but human reaction time and normal latency won't let you interrupt <20% casts without guessing when he is going to cast it.

Moorabi 430k HP
Mojo Frenzy
- Is permanently buffed with this effect. Gives him approximately 1% faster spell casting for every 1% of life missing.
Determined Stab
- Instant attack. An extra attack for 3k that bypasses the target's dodge/parry/block stats.
Numbing Roar
- Instant cast. Reduces spell casting speed by 50% for 5 sec to any players within 60 yards.
Transformation
- 4 second base cast time. Transforms Moorabi into a mammoth. Increases physical damage done by 25% and grants him new abilities.
Quake
- 2.2 second base cast time. 4-5k AoE dmg + stun for 2 seconds to any players within 60 yards. Should be available only in Mammoth form, but sometimes cast in humanoid-form, which is suspect to happen after a reset of a failed attempt.
Determined Gore
- Instant attack. A bleed effect that does 600 dmg every 2 seconds and cannot be avoided by the target. Can stack multiple times. Available only in Mammoth form.
Achievement notes:
A very high DPS group is preferred. Killing him without needing to interrupt many times is the ideal way to avoid a Transformation as it limits the chances to fail. The exploits mentioned in other older comments no longer work, so you will need good gear, skill, timing, and luck.
Partial list of abilities that will work: Hammer of Justice, Mind Freeze, Spell Lock (Felhunter), Counterspell, Kick, Shield Bash, Pummel, Earth/Wind Shock, Maim, Fan of Knives (with 2/2 Throwing Spec). Spell cast time slowing effects don't do anything to affect the cast time of Transformation on this boss. He's also immune to stuns and silences.
Rumors are that his transformation casts happen every 10 seconds at above 50%. One cast once he hits 50%. Transformation every 5 seconds under 50%. 50% is the heavy burn stage. Since his casts seem to be scripted based on time, it's best to have a preemptive interrupt attempts.
This guy has as many HPs as the Maiden of Grief. If you have done
Good Grief
, then you should be familiar with how fast bosses with this many HPs will fall. The goal is insane burst damage after an expected transformation cast at an HP level that gives a manageable amount of time to interrupt.
The concept is fairly simple, but luck is sadly a big deal in this. If he casts Quake, stunning the group, and then casts transform or casts Transform at under 30%, there's not much most groups can do about that. Just keep trying. It's not one of those achievements you can get every time.
An advanced tactic to time interupts is to use the build in stopwatch (/timer or /sw), drag it to the middle of your screen and use this a macro based off of this:
/script Stopwatch_Clear()
/stopcasting
/cast Kick
/script Stopwatch_Play()

This is an achievement, it is not supposed to be easy, especially when done as intended, which is to interrupt the cast. Some may be easier than others, this one would be considered moderate or hard; but it comes down to being able to interrupt and some luck with time between casts.
Gotta Go IS getting nerfed, but obviously it is not impossible in it's current state, you just have to put out the most insane dps from 5 people, you pretty need everyone dpsing.

On the other hand, Insanity has a fairly long cast time, which may be indicative of Blizzard wanting to provide us with enough time to get out of LoS.
If only you had a clue... the long cast is to let time to the healer to replenish everybody to full life, and/or let people bandage themself....

Well, I don't think it should be right but there is another way to do it...
It needs a paladin. The party stays back ,so they dont get in combat. The paladin pulls the boss, puts bubble and after some seconds the boss becomes mammoth. Then the paladin runs to an exit gate that is near the boss.
When the paladin gets out,the boss will come back as a mammoth going to its starting position the tank aggroes it and dps him while being a mammoth and because of the boss reseting it will count for the achievement.(The paladin can get in again as the boss is engaged.

he seems to cast his interupt approx every 8 to 10 seconds, however around 30/40% he seems to toss in a additional transform
while not many remember this, the druid spell hurricane also slows casting, i was healing this boss but i just stopped doing that around 30% and started hurricaning the boss making it slightly more possible to intterupt

YOU CAN STILL BUG IT!
13/01/2009
I went into the instance to do the last boss achievement so group was 1 druid tank, 1 war tank, healer and 2 dps.
We went in cleared room whole room of all adds.
We all stood against wall in corner furthest away from stairs.
Druid, pulled boss, sprinted up stairs, boss followed, transformed into mammoth, druid used shadowmeld and boss started running back to his starting point.
The rest of the group caught him at the bottom of stairs and killed him with the druid coming back and dpsing.
We all got the achievement.
I am not sure why people are saying it has been hotfixed... maybe they like being the only ones with achievement, maybe they are misinformed....
now feel free to try and the + me! :)

I can confirm that on the 19th... the reset-method has NOT been hot-fixed.
Here's how we did it... Mage runs in, grabs aggro and runs like a madman toward the zonein. Around the base of the spiral ramp, Moorabi transforms...
DURING the transformation the Mage uses invisibility and drops out of combat. Within .5 seconds of the transformation's completion, the Feral Druid tank POPS OUT OF STEALTH and engages the boss. The other two dps and healer run up to him from their hiding spot on the other side of his chamber and I use Lay on Hands to bring the Druid up to full (It crits for 40,000 luckily). He's already transformed into a Mammoth, so we carefully take him all the way down to zero and we snag the achievement. (All 5 of us, mage included) The quakes could be a problem for any sub-par healer, but I don't take sub-par healers on my achievement runs...
This couldn't have been executed more perfectly by the mage and druid, who are the ones to thank for the hard work here. It will LIKELY be hot-fixed tomorrow, but we shall see, won't we?

I deleted my earlier post because I was obviously wrong due to several reasons. Sorry about it folks. Earlier I assumed the cast comes between certain fixed intervals and the casting speed is based on which # cast is going. Well this was wrong - kind of, because I had missed Vashar's post about
Mojo Frenzy
. However, based on the various comments I've read and on our own experience, here are some facts of this achievement:
The
casting speed
is based on how much health does Moorabi have left - less health, faster casts. I don't know the exact numbers but it's been said cast time reduces by 1% every 1% of hp he loses. With this theory it would mean 2s cast at 50% and 1s at 25%. The last cast which can still be interrupted without bigger problems, comes around 30-35% hp.
The
cooldown between casts
is also dependant on his health remaining. Again no hard facts of the numbers but at first with full health the cd is around 10 seconds. Below 50% hp it will be around 4-6s.
(tested this by only interrupting the casts, not attacking at all, which came between 10s at first but when his health decreased, the casts started coming more frequently)
Moorabi CAN use Transformation even while the players are still under the effects of
Quake
. I'm not sure is only due to a server lag but in any case, this doesn't happen very often and generally it's nothing to worry about (has happened to us once).
The boss is immune to all cast time increasing effects and to silence effects. Ie. Silence or Strangulate doesn't interrupt his cast.
How to pull this off:
1.
Bring 4 DPS and one tank, a fully specced healer isn't really needed if you have a well-geared tank. Some might even consider bringing 5 DPS if tanking isn't a problem.
2.
Have as many interrupts as possible without hurting you DPS - again, no silences work.
3.
Interruption of the casts gets harder after 50% so before 35-45%, the fight is rather irrevelevant except you should refresh any long time dots/skills before it so you don't have to do it when it's time for m4d DPS. Your goal is have an interrupt as close as possible to 30%.
4.
Use interrupts so that there is as many interrupts as possible available for the "last" interrupt which should come around 30-35% - the latter, the better. Meaning rotate short cd interrupts for the first casts so the ones with longer cd (HoJ, Spell Lock etc.) are available later on.
5.
Do some
sick
damage after the "last" interrupt because afterwards, interrupting becomes pure lottery - it is possible but it needs luck and anticipation. Use every cooldown you can now (Heroism at 40% preferably to get it rolling), you'll definitely will need them.
If everything went well, he dies. If you lack the dps, he will probably transform at <5%, die to dots shortly after and you have to come again the next day.
Good luck on this.
As the cheesing out was fixed, this achievement is one of the hardest, assuming you don't have any luck. :)
Edit: some typos and extra info

Me and my guildies recently got this achievement after our share of failed attempts and here is how we did it:
First off, we did NOT use Blood Lust/Heroism.
Next (and this is most important) we figured out the exact time of his casting intervals (from the beginning of one cast to the beginning of the next):
100%-51% he will cast his transform every 10 seconds.
50%-0% he will cast his transform every 5 seconds.
What we had to do from here was preempt all of his casts.
To do this, start your in-game stopwatch when your tank pulls. See when he casts the first transform and from there time each in 10 or 5 second intervals depending on what percentage he is at.
I got lucky and started it right on time so his casts went at :10, :20, :30, :35, and :40. Each person with the interrupt should be watching his own timer to avoid voice-chat or Vent lag.
If you are good on the timers you should be able to interrupt each transform the split second that he begins to cast. We had the casts so well timed out that all we were seeing were interrupted cast bars. Like it has already been stated: His cast time goes down as he loses health, so if you aren't able to interrupt as he starts you may not get to see his cast bar at all anyway.
That is basically all there is to it.
Just being prepared for what is coming instead of waiting until it is going to happen.
Our actual kill was what started off as "practice" on the timer strat and we very easily got the achievement.
We also had plenty of interrupts in the group. Our makeup was:
Death Knight (tank)
Enh Shaman
Arcane Mage
Ret Pally
Holy Pally
Even though we had enough people to constantly interrupt this could just as well have been done with only a couple interrupts on short CDs like Kick, Shock, or Pummel.
Best of luck!

I just got this achievement today (after maybe an hour of attempts today and several hours over the course of trying for it)
Group comp: Prot pally, Shadow priest, Fury war, 2x rogues (unsure of spec).
We used the timer info posted above and just kept trying until we got lucky and all of the transforms synced up perfectly. We actually got 6 interrupts in on the boss using that method (additionally I counted down the last two seconds over vent before a transform, seemed to help a lot)
It requires a lot of luck, but I think that this is the best method at the moment.

I completed this yesterday within 5 attempts.
Group composition:
Death Knight tank
Arcane Mage
Dps warrior
Elemental Shaman
Resto druid (myself)
I explained the fight to my guildies, the strats I've read here.
100-51% health he will "Transform" every 10 seconds. 50-0% health he will every 5 seconds. Doing quakes in between and sometimes on top of eachother.
The less health he has, the quicker he casts. <30% the cast time is 1 second or less.
Transform is a physical ability. It is not affected by any slows whatsoever.
Earthshock, Pummel, Counterspell, Mind Freeze and Bash work on it (among other things which we didn't have at the time). Hurricane, mind numbing, curse of tongues etc do not work.
Use your quick cooldowns first, try to save 20+ second cooldowns for the last 30% health.
The time we killed him we didn't have heroism. I pretty much started the ingame timer exactly when we aggroed the boss and counted down the last 3 seconds before a transform everytime.
7 seconds on the clock...3, 2, 1, transform (10 seconds)! etc. It may vary later on depending on your dps. When it transitions from 51% to 50% he immediately switches to the 5 second timer. This happened about 28 seconds on the clock for us. 3, 2, 1, transform (33 seconds)! etc, again depends on your dps. I got very very lucky calling out the times and they managed to interrupt 3 <1 second transform casts (probably 5 or 6 interrupts total). Killed him on the 4th or 5th attempt.

I had a fun one once, combat log said I had interrupted and I thought I had as well, but he still transformed! Also, him transforming on 3% and dying was such a stresser. I really hate this achievement! Atleast 5 amber takes more skill than luck.
I think you can safely say this is more of a luck achievement than pure strategy. Even though there is some thought involved with the faster casting times at certain percentages it's just not possible with the lag and reaction time to interrupt a 0.5 second cast. Going with a 4 dps 1 tank makes it more of a gear fight again as the tank will have to be able to take it from roughly 60% to 0% without any heals.
This is not sparta, this is frustration.

At 40% we interrupted the next cast with whatever was in the group and then the rogue turned on AR and spammed fan of knives and auto attacked. Thought it would be a good idea to gather all the info on this and put it into a single post.
Things to know:
-his is immune to stuns, slows, silences. Only spell-locks will work. i.e. earth/wind shock, kick, mind freeze, counter-spell, etc.
-he gains spell haste equal to the amount of health he is missing. i.e. 50% haste at 50% health, 75% haste at 25% health, and 99% haste at 1% health.
-the spell is Transformation. It has a 4 second cast and can only be interrupted by spell-locks. At 75% health the cast will be 3 secs, at 50% it will be 2 sec cast, 25% it'll be 1 sec cast. It also seems to be cast more frequently after 50% health.
-fun fact: average human reaction time is 0.2 secs. (the time it takes to blink both ways)
~
The plan:
simply dps as hard as possible before he gets too many casts off and have plenty of interrupts. Of course 3k+ dps is nice along with a tank that does their own fair share of dps. Good plan is to have casters handle the first 50% (where the 1.5sec GCD on spells will be over by the end of his cast). have a melee interrupt for 50%-35% (for their 1 sec GCD), also dps enhancing CDs should be blow around here so that they are in effect for the remainder of his health, adjust the use based on the duration of the buff. After that interrupt (<35%) and after a couple seconds after the last interrupt the mage should have their finger on their counter-spell button (not being high goes a long way, so wait till after to light that bowl). As soon as that cast is stopped you have 8 seconds to blow up the last of his health, maybe a couple more if your lucky. Achievement earned.
If I missed anything, reply and ill tack it on.

Finally decided to go back in this place the other day and finish this achievement. I nailed down a sure way to get it within 2-3 tries. As Schmonkey said above, his transform is on a cooldown and is as predictable as clockwork. Above 50% health, it's a 10 second cooldown, after 50% it's 5 seconds.
We did this with
Pally Tank
Pally healer
Ele Shammy (me)
Blood DK
Mage
As an ele shammy, I respecced right before the run to get all 5 points in Reverberation, for a 5 second cooldown on my shocks.
DK took first interrupt
Mage took second
Third came right after 50% and I took it and every subsequent interrupt. Basically, since his cooldown on transform is 5 seconds and my cooldown on earth shock is 5 seconds, as soon as I got an interrupt after 50%, I popped heroism and did nothing but spam earthshock, waiting for the cooldown. The last time, I didn't even see his cast bar for the transform, but I interrupted it. The only thing that can mess this up is serious lag or a bad luck knockback-stun and he casts while you're down.

Tried to get this yesterday, but failed several times because he would stun the entire party, and cast Transformation right after. Free action potion and hand of freedom doesn't help against it. Contancted a GM about it, they said it's a known issue and is being worked on.

Ok,
After 8 nights on and off and 63 attempts in total, we finally got this about 10 minutes ago.
Assumed facts:
Slowing effects do NOT work (curse of tongues, mind numbing poison)
Above 50% he casts every 10 seconds
Below 50% he casts every 5 seconds.
This means that, he casts transform at 10 seconds, 20 seconds, 25 seconds and 30 seconds, assuming dps which is approximately similar to ours (13.6k combined dps for the entire encounter)
So, because of this i simply made a macro that looked something like:
#showtooltip taunt
/cast taunt
/in 10 /rw first interrupt
/in 20 /rw 2nd interrupt
/in 24 /rw 3rd interrupt
/in 29 /rw 4th interrupt
Because i was tanking, i used taunt to pull the boss as it instantly engaged the boss, so I had the timer at its most accurate
The first 2 interrupts were easily seeable and as such the timer does not need to be pre-emptive, the last 2, i accomodated for server lag and brain lag by making the RW appear 1 second before he was due to cast.
Our group setup consisted of:
Prot warrior
fury warrior
fury warrior
shadow priest
resto shaman
First thing we did was we cleared to the next room to the fish pool, and we would engage the fish, let them hit us for a bit, then run through with a full rage bar and I would pull using my taunt/timer macro shown above.
I interrupted casts 1 and 3, our resto shaman and 1 fury warrior both tried to interrupt 2 and 4, using the early raid warnings as a guide.
In the end our chat window looked a little bit like:

I hope this post helps a few people, since i am very glad to have achieved it myself finally!
Good luck!

Did this in 2 tries with 2 DK (1 frost 1 blood), 2 pallies (1 ret and me, holy) and a TG war.
Had the DKs on the first 2, and the last 2, we just had everyone put down interrupts in their rotations when up (note these were really lucky). I, the healer was pulling about 900 DPS on this fight, because our tank had plenty of Hp and could afford it. Everyone else was nearing or above 3k DPS, and the warrior topped it off at 3940 (OP much?). We didn't have the DKs' army because we blew both first attempt. Really a luck-based but it is doable with a good group.
Hope this helped,
Shock

I was surprised to hear people were having difficulty with this achievement. This is very easy as a shaman with reverberation. The cooldown on his transformation is so predictable you can easily interrupt his casts even if he's as low as 5%. You simply use this macro:
/script Stopwatch_Clear()
/stopcasting
/cast Wind Shock
/script Stopwatch_Play()
You drag your stop watch to the middle of the screen, interrupt his first spell, then hit the macro whenever your timer shows 5 seconds. Short of any random untimely stun, you can pick up this achievement very easily.
This can be adapted if you don't have reverberation, or don't play a shaman at all. Without the 5s cooldown interrupt it will be more difficult, requiring 2 people and a rotation, but still not excessively hard.

Got this and my glory of the hero achievement tonight.
This is indeed one of the harder achievements to do, simply because any lag can really %^&* you over.
First off what I observed, some of this is repeated above, but as I pored over this page more then a few times trying to help out our group I'll post it all here for others to see:
Unknown if the school lockout works, as all school lockouts we had in the group were less then 5 seconds.
>50% casts every 10 seconds
=50% Begins a new cast immediatly
<50% casts every 5 seconds following the cast exactly at 50%
While this may be wrong, we found he was sometimes casting twice almost immediatly after eachother around 50%, and ALWAYS had one cast right at 50%. Also we found the casts after 50% were not always on the 5-second intervals as determinted from the start of the fight.
an example of the type of thing we saw:
0 - Pull
10 - cast
20 - cast
23 - cast
28 - cast
33 - cast
etc
Also, as a rogue, i was attempting to use the fact both my kick and his casts should line up exactly, for example getting the 23 and the 33 in the above example by simply spamming kick.
This idea is mentioned above as having the potential to work, however in practice I find it does not, the kick comes too early a lot of the time.
While the cooldowns of abilities are good guidelines on when he's going to cast next, we found waiting a split second after the CD is up before casting it was better in practice.
group:
Resto shaman, no reverb
Frost DK tank
Ret Pally
Fury Warrior
Mutilate rogue
We've cleared 25-man content, all dps are pulling 3.5-4k on this guy
Rotation on our kill (we had very high dps, even with no bloodlust on this attempt)
10 - earth shock
18 - kick
23 - HoJ/mind freeze
28 - kick/pummel/earth shock
32 - dead
We did not stack the group, we did not respec anyone into thrown weapon spec or reverb, it just took a bit of time and some luck, and we got it. So don't give up hope on this achievement, everything else for glory of the hero is easy streets.
Edit: Don't take any one strategy from here and try soley based on that, find out different things that work with your group and practice getting the timing right, there are a lot of different tips here, just find what works for you.

Would like to post that any group using a rogue that is serious about getting this achievement, should have the rogue spec heavy combat into Throwing Specialization.
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=51679
. The Rogue should use Fan of Knives to interrupt.
I just got this one being the only person in the group on interrupts post 50%.
Group comp was:
Feral Druid (Tank)
MM Hunter
Disc Priest
Ele Shaman
Combat Rogue (me)
Like posters above me have stated, count it out. That's simply what I did, and then hit Fan of Knives.
Once he hit 30% I went with Fan of Knives > Kick > Fan of Knives. Since Kick isn't on the GCD.
Hope that helps!

Did this achievement tonight with a group consisting of Feral druid tanking (me), Boomkin druid dpsing, Warlock dpsing + using Felhound to interrupt (he said it was a bit slow at casting even if on passive), a Death Knight (dpsing+interrupting) & Holy Paladin (healing + interrupting).
We took turns at interrupting (dk first, lock pet 2nd, pally 3rd, dk 4th, I bashed 5th).
Learned one important thing about the fight during our tries:
The boss emotes that he's about to begin Transformation *before* he casts the transformation spell, and you can interrupt his cast immediately right then, which helped a *lot* with countering his near-instant 5th cast at 15% x)

This achievement has caused nothing but pain for me but I finally got it today. Let me give you a brief history on it. Yesterday when I attempted this the boss had 500 health left and then cast transform screwing me out of it. Today though when I got it we had this group make up:
prot warrior(me)
2 mages
Warlock
Enhancement Shaman
He casted Transform 3 times, the 3rd time being around 20%.

we did with this setup: retri, mage, elem sham(me), dk tank , pala healer. just rape the boss and the 2nd cast came at 45% so then we keep our interupt order until 15%, then his cast is around 0.3 so all the grp was spamming random interupts and our dk tank suddenly stop his cast randomly at 5% and we did it:D

After weeks of attempting this i finnaly did this today and heres how:
Setup
Death Knight tank
Enhanchment Shaman
Arcane Mage
Frost Mage
Holy paladin
We pulled the boss and steadily dpsed him down, the DK intterupted first, the shaman second and a mage third, we didnt think there would be a fourth, but how wrong we were. At 5% he transformed and we had to wipe to reset him.
So then we tried intterupting the fourth but our dps just wasnt great enough to kill him before he casted a fifth (which is almost impossible to intterupt) And it took many attempts before we managed to intterupt the fourth one.
So i respecced from holy to retribution and heres how we did it:
Paladins
CAN
Intterupt this boss using hammer of justice.
After the third intterupt i counted to 5 in my head and used hammer of justice, amazingly it intterupted him the
MOMENT
he began to cast.
We then had precious few seconds to kill him we nuked him so hard and managed to kill him just before he could cast the next transform. You can also use mages to counterspell him, which is VERY helpfull.
Facts about this boss:
All exploits have been fixed
He can be counterspelled
He can be intterupted with Hammer Of Justice
He uses his AoE stun randomly and its just bad luck if it happens at the same time as a transform
If you fail you dont have to wipe, you can run out and survive.
Well, thats just how we did it, i hope this helps someone. Best of luck!

Me and my mates completed this yesterday.
Setup
(irrelevant)
:
Feral Druid (tank)
Holy Paladin
Unholy Death Knight
Fury Warrior
Elemental Shaman
Initially, an interrupt rotation was made and our cooldowns were being used reactively, but that appeared to be completely luck based.
Then I opened my browser and went here to read up, and after reading through most posts I came to the conclusion that Breganth's strategy (posted
here
) seemed to be the easiest.
Breganth wrote:
To put it shortly, bring a shaman with 5 talents points in
reverberation
and have him cast earth shock on the first transformation after 50% and then use it again as soon as it is off CD until the boss dies.
Using this strategy, my group succeeded on our first attempt.

After
many
attempts we finally got this +10 last night. It's important to have at least 3 people who with interrupts with a cooldown of 10 seconds at most. Any group makeup with 3 interrupts should be fine but here was ours:
Feral Druid -
Maim
Rogue -
Kick
Warrior -
Pummel
Resto Druid
Shadow Priest
It's important you set up an interrupt rotation before starting the fight, the first 3 should be simple enough but the 4th and definitely the 5th (if he's alive to cast) you'll need multiple interrupts. As stated in other posts above, Moorabi casts transform every 10 seconds between 100-51% health and every 5 seconds < 51%. Any sort of cast slowing effects, tranq shot, and stuns have no effect on his cast time.
Here's a macro that should make the attempt a bit easier, you may need to adjust if your group doesn't get him below 51% in 20 seconds. Any member of the group with an instant attack should engage the boss (taunt, moonfire, faerie fire shocks, etc.):
/cast Offensive Spell
/in 10 /rw = NOW! =
/in 20 /rw = NOW! =
/in 22 /rw 3
/in 23 /rw 2
/in 24 /rw 1
/in 25 /rw = NOW! =
/in 27 /rw 3
/in 28 /rw 2
/in 29 /rw 1
/in 30 /rw = NOW! =
/in 32 /rw 3
/in 33 /rw 2
/in 34 /rw 1
/in 35 /rw = NOW! =
When Moorabi's health is below 30% the cast times get extremely fast and we got lucky with our last interrupt. Depending on your lag I'd start interrupting a 1/2 second after the /rw 1 announcement.
Good luck, this is definitely the hardest heroic 5-man achievement currently existing in the game.

What people seem to forget when they're saying that he gains 1% haste per % health lost is that haste increases your casting
speed
, it does
not
reduce your casting
time
.
It is
not
calculated by: New casting time = (Base casting time) * (1 - (% spell haste / 100)).
It
is
calculated by: New Casting Time = (Base Casting Time) / (1 + (% spell haste / 100)).
Therefore, the casting time
would be
, assuming he gains 1% haste for every % health lost:
At 75%: 4 / (1 + (25 / 100) = 4 / 1.25 = 3.2 s
At 50%: 4 / (1 + (50 / 100) = 4 / 1.5 ≈ 2.67 s
At 25%: 4 / (1 + (75 / 100) = 4 / 1.75 ≈ 2.29 s
At 1%: 4 / (1 + (99 / 100) = 4 / 1.99 ≈ 2.01 s
From this we can see that he does not gain 1% haste per % health lost. One possibility is that he does not actually gain haste as the tooltip says, but simply loses 1% casting time per % health lost. Another one is that he gains much more haste per % health lost and the casting time is not exactly 3 sec at 75%, 2 sec at 50% and so on. A third possibility is that his haste gain is not proportional but the % casting time "lost" is, and the tooltip is wrong.
The haste % needed to reach your desired casting time is calculated by: Haste % needed = ((Base Cast Time / Desired Cast Time) - 1) * 100
Therefore, if he uses haste the same way as players and his % casting time lost is proportional to his health lost, his haste is:
At 75%: ((4 / 3) - 1) * 100 ≈ 33.33%
At 50%: ((4/2) - 1) * 100 = 100%
At 25%: ((4/1) - 1) * 100 = 300%
At 1%: ((4/0.04) - 1) * 100 = 9 900%
I hope that made sense, correct me if there's anything wrong. ;p

Group can have any make up save 1 spot for an elemental shaman with 5 of 5 reverberation. his cooldown of earthshock will then be 5 seconds which is exactly moorabis time between casts on transformation after an interupt. I was the elemental shaman and did nothing but interrupts (I ended up interrupting 4 times because removing a dps slowed the fight) I did all the interrupts. All I did was spam my earthshock button for the entire fight starting with the first interrupt below 50%. I didn't wait for the boss e-mote after the first, I just spammed the button and the timing was perfect. I had133 ms latency and hit the last interrupt at 3%. His timer is that dead on... The recast on transformation is exactly 5 seconds after the last interrupt. Important to note that w/ this strat only the shaman should be doing interrupts as anyone else interrupting can cause your timer to be off.
I just tried this strategy for about 3 hours. The group makeup was DK tank, 2 high dps hunter, resto druid, and ele shaman (myself). I respecced into 5/5 Reverberation for 5 second shocks. And we failed to get this achievment.
I interrupt the first cast, then the DK, and then I interrupt at 50% (by watching the cast bar), and then begin spamming my Wind Shock button and doing nothing else. The next cast comes at about 35%, the timer is dead on, and my WS gets it. The last cast was always at 15% or under, and for some reason, his cast would come at 5.1 - 5.3. Meaning, my shock hits him as soon as it comes off CD, and he begins casting Transformation less than a second after. I'm running at 40+ fps, less than 150 ms.
I'm not sure why it's not working for me. We tried this many many times, and the same thing kept happening. I tried waiting a tiny bit after my CD is done and hitting it then, but then it's too slow for the very quick cast time. I might be trying it tomorrow with 4/5 Reverberation, maybe it will make up for it.
Anyone have any ideas what the cause of this might be?

Hmm easiest way to do this achivment now is to interupt 3rd cast with Shield Bash, and 4th cast wont even happen as Shield Bash silence for 6seconds...best % to do it is about 40% GL to all.

We got this today after many try. We couldn't do the usual 1 tank 3 dps and 1 healer due to the fact we are in australia and our latency is always 400ms+ ..Running 3 dps mean we'll get the 3rd cast that less than 1.5 secs and due to latency, we'll have less time to react cause the cast seem to be instant cast
We ran with DK Tank, Arm warrior, Mage, Elemental shaman, Warlock.
When we engaged the boss..we burned him as fast and DK interrupted the first cast easily. The boss will cast his 2nd one at around 40% and we had our mage counter spell it and gave us 8 secs school lock. We used hero and burned him down in that 8 secs.
So basically, 1 tank and 4 dps..the boss will only cast 2 times. Each dps pulled out like 3.5k to 3.9k
We tried with 3 dps but he ended up casting the 4th one at 20% which is almost impossible to interrupt with high latency

Earned this achievement today... group setup as follows:
Frost DK Tank (me)
Frostfire mage
Frostfire mage
Combat Rogue
Resto Shaman
We did couple of tries without Bloodlust just so we get familiar with the timing and to figure out a good way to do it given our setup. and this is what we came up with:
Start the fight normally with DK on first interrupt
Shaman on second interrupt
Stop dps at ~55-60%, pop Bloodlust and get ready for next cast...
The rogue interrupted that cast and we went all out on DPS with one mage timing 10 seconds from that point and everyone else timing 18 seconds.
After the 10 seconds, boss was around ~25-30%, the mage cast his Counterspell regardless of "seeing" the cast bar (yes it requires some luck with the timing)...
We continued steady DPS on the boss, and 8 seconds from the mage interrupt, everyone popped his interrupt (except the 1st mage) and eventually one of us caught the cast at around ~5-10%...
Couple of seconds later... Achievement earned!
It saddens me that there are such achievements that depend highly on luck... but oh well... with more Q.Q on official forums about this achievement it will be nerfed eventually :P
Good Luck to everyone attempting this... you really need it!

Did this pretty easy last night :> we had
1 feral drood (tank)
1 Blood dk
2 hunters
1 enhancement shaman
basically, drood interupted first one, then we poped hero and all CD's, then DK interupted second, then we just burned him down :) last interupt everyone just pressed their interupt randomly, sure it was a lot of luck, but with this dps we only had 3 transform ;) 28 sec kill. easy :>

I just did this with a few friends after maby 30-40 wipes over some weeks of trying. Our group was the following:
Resto Shaman ( Me )
Elemental Shaman
Prot Warrior
Rogue
Mage ( arcane )
We only had rogue and warrior doing the interrupts on the first 3 of them and at that time he was under 50%. After that me and the other shaman help with the rest of the interrupts and at 10% mage did CS even if he wasn't casting so he got silenced. That way we did not need to interrupt that last 0.5 sec cast and we just burned him down. ( Rogue did not use slowing poison and me also used fire elemental totem )
I have to say this must be one of the 2 hardest achievements in the game right now because of the pure luck you need to hit that last interrupt.

NOT

I've attempted this achievement at least 50 times over the past week without success thus far. We've been using the Shaman (me) with Reverb strategy. We've found that it's best for the Shaman to be Resto, so the group doesn't lose any damage output; the stun seems to be random, and the best way to minimize its effect is to simply burn him down.
I take 5/5 Reverb and equip enough Hit Rating for 6% (Resto gear ftl). I take the first interrupt below 50%, and spam Wind Shock thereafter. My latency is always between 100-200 ms. My shock inexplicably comes too early or too late way too often. I can at least chalk up late shocks to latency, but too
early
? I can't explain it. If Moorabi truly casts every 5s when he's under 50%, my Shock should never come too early.
My Combat Rogue buddy has tried backing me up with Throwing Specialization + AR + FoK spam, but it hasn't worked. When Moorabi's health drops below 30% or so, his casts are simply too fast to reactively interrupt. Seems you have to preempt him by timing your interrupt at that point. Ah well, will try 20-30 more times today. Maybe we'll get lucky =/

Did this today, after 2 other days of failing. A resto shaman respecced into elemental, and also took Reverbation (Spelled?) 4/5. Only took 4/5 as we experienced the other days, that the 2nd cast below 50% was not exactly 5secs after. All the tries his interrupts came too early.
I (Combat rogue) specced into Throwing Specialization, and supported interrupts.
We did it easily, though there was a GM there (Wanted to see how we did it, as he hadn't managed to on his own character) so he might've done a little something...

I just wanted to add that this achievement is absolutely possible with any group makeup (including a healer) as long as you have two interrupts, and one is a shaman who is specced into 5/5 Reverberation, as mentioned above.
It took us 4 attempts last night but we managed to do it. Our group makeup was:
Holy paladin (me)
Protection warrior
Elemental shaman (but really, any shaman will do if they just temporarily spec into Reverb)
2 Hunters
On our successful attempt we did the following:
I hammered his first transformation around ~80%
Our warrior knocked out his second transformation at about 60%
Asplit second later we pushed him to 50% and he began to transform again. Our shaman hit earth shock and stopped it, then hit Bloodlust. Our shaman continued to hit Earth Shock every time the cooldown was up until he was dead (I think he hit it 3 times? maybe 4?).
The biggest issues we had was getting the rotation down (the shaman probably could have interrupted the first one instead of me, but there was no way he could do the second and third - our warrior had to take the second), and having badly timed earthquakes.
But in all seriousness, this achievement is not nearly as complicated as I always thought it was, and can be done without a mage in sight, or even 4 dps!
Granted everyone but the shaman was decked in Naxx25 gear, so your results may vary. But again, all the shaman is doing is hitting earth shock for the majority of the fight so you can drag any shaman there to help, as long as they are competent :)

Can we get a confirmation if interrupts that prevent spell schools from being cast for more than 5 seconds (ie. shield slam, counterspell) will actually push his timer through to 10 seconds? Ive seen alot of varying posts here but it seems that silences do NOT work, but interrupts that would prevent a certain school from being cast for longer than 5 seconds can cause him to miss one of his casts. Is this correct?

This achievement is really hard. I've done it with the group of tanking warrior, holy paladin, boomkin, mage and me as interrupting ele shaman. Although his cd on transformation is supposed to be the same as my cd on earth shock with reverbation spec, I've found out his cd is really getting out of time after for no apparent reason.
We've finally done it, after nearly 3 hours of trying and I consider it just a pure luck. Transforms within quakes weren't our biggest problem, I think it made us fail only in 2-3 out of about 50 tries I think. We've also came up with an idea to cast Hand of Protection on interrupter (me) to prevent me from getting second quake (as you're probably going to experience only 2 of them if you're going for this achievement). After numerous attempts
I've found out my ES gets off time after two interrupts below 50% so I decided to wait like 0,1-0,2s after cd was up
and that was good decision. Only one ES was needed from that point, so I kept spamming it and got a perfect interrupt at 7%.
GL on achieveing this one, I've found it the hardest of all I'd made yet, however I haven't tried the infamous Ruby Void yet.
Just read that someone noticed same thing as me. I don't think that 4/5 Reverbation is gonna work there as, apart from the 3rd transformation he casts after getting below 50%, all transforms are exactly 5s after each other.

This has been my experience as well. The Reverb strat works perfectly
until
the 3rd transformation past 50%; my group usually has him down to about 5% by that point, but my last Shock comes too early, and he gets the cast off right before dying (thereby preventing us from trying again). Has happened more times than I care to remember.
I'm just estimating, but that final cast seems to come about 1 second after my Shock (or 6s after the previous cast). I wonder if this is Blizzard's way of "breaking" the Reverb strat to make this achievement more challenging. I'm also curious if this delayed cast comes in reference to total casts (Moorabi's 5th cast overall) or only casts under 50% (3rd cast past half-life).
I'll be trying it again by manually delaying my final Shock today.

Ok just tested this today, works like a charm. Got it on our first attempt.
Unholy Dk
Shadow Priest
Frostfire Mage
Demon Lock
Elemental Shaman
I pulled with armies, the shaman was on the first interrupt and immediately popped heroism after he interrupted. I used mind freeze for the second interrupt (which was at about 54%), then we had the mage use counterspell for the third. The counterspell caused him to completely skip his next cast and he was dead before he could get a fourth off.
Remember the key here is once the mage counterspells the first cast under 50% you will have 10 seconds to kill him. Same with a prot warriors shield slam. As far as I know, these two interrupts are the only ones that lock out a certain school for more than 5 seconds. Added silences to an ability such as improved kick will not work because the talent actually adds a silence to the spell, it will surely interrupt him but it will not prevent him from casting another one 5 seconds later. Happy hunting.

I know a lot of people are having trouble with this achievement without the aid of a rogue, so let me help you.
When I did this fight 2 months ago, it was after they fixed the kiting exploit, took 4-6 attempts.
Group make up:
Dps War
Dk Tank
Resto druid (myself)
Ele Sham
Arcane Mage
This is the mechanic of the fight, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.
100%-51% he casts every 10 seconds.
50%-0% he casts every 5 seconds.
The speed of his casts increase as his health lowers to zero.
He also does a periodic aoe stun which you have to deal with.
Silences do not work as his Transformation ability is a physical ability.
So, you could stay at 100% all day and he'll keep casting every 10 seconds. Or you can stay at 50% all day and he'll cast every 5 seconds.
Get your A-team together, and make sure you have someone you can trust to call out the interrupts EXACTLY.
Use the ingame stop watch to do this.
I called out the interrupts myself.
We didn't use heroism. We interrupted 6 times. It was VERY intense and extremely satisfying when he died.
Using this, it may take a few tries, but it cannot fail.

THE GROUP
me frost dk
ele shaman
mage
hunter (silencing shot)
hunter ( no interupt)
All of us in mostly to all 213+ gear.
We went in and tested 3 times first, dpsing to 50% then stopping dps to test the macro and timing. mage was counting and getting in sync wi the countdown, and then hitting counterspell EXACTLY on now. If he does it right all you see is an interupted cast bar. He misses it you'll see the cast bar start to move and it'll throw the last one off, because the time between casts starts when its interupted. We were running late and knew we'd only have one real try because of army and heroism cd. So the 4th time we said we'd do a live trial run, but wi full dps, and if the mage got his interupt, we'd go heroism and go for kill. The 3rd interupt in macro was just in case he wasn't dead the 3 of us wi interupts up could all mash it. The shammy hit his heroism perfectly the sec the mage got it, and it was timed so perfectly, the last cast was due to come at exactly 0%. (I mashed my interupt, but pretty sure he was dead)
THINGS TO NOTE:
1. Test it yourself. notice the last one is a second late? at 16 rather then 15? It hit perfectly. Blizz likely added the extra second to screw wi ppl, and are likely too again so test it, keep in mind if an interupt is off, it'll screw wi the timing.
2. Tank can stay alive long enough for everyone to run out so only 1 repair bill.
3. It is CRUCIAL only the person with the macro gets the first interupt at, or past 50%, or it'll throw off timing, and if its you, don't mash it =P, one of our tests I mashed it twice
by accident and totally confused everyone lol.
4. Also CRUCIAL only the mage (or mages, could have 2 go for it) hits the 2nd one.
5. Note the macro doesn't start from the beginning because there seems to be an interupt at 50% no matter what, which screws wi it.
6. Tank stay alive =P it isn't long use ur cooldowns, quakes do alotta dmg to group, so ele shammy or someone should heal group to full at 50-40% and go back to dps.
7. pretty sure the macro will work for any group comp, if its without a mage or warrior for the school lockout, then have it countdown to 5, then 10, then 16 for 3rd. (not sure after that, if ur short dps, then test it)
Gratz on your achievement, and have fun on your red proto-drake =D

We did it third try tonight with strat stated above, was not trivial.
DK Tank in DPS gear
Rogue who respecced to combat for FoK interrupt
Arcane Mage
Warlock
Holy Priest
After a few tries we figured out we miss some dps so DK went DPS gear. Our strat quite straightforward:
step 1) DK interrupts first
step 2) Rogue interrupts second
step 3) Boss is at 40-45%, Mage Interrupts
step 4) Everyone blows all of their cooldowns, rogue turns on Adrenaline Rush and spams FoK
step 5) Boss dies.

Just did this achievement. Our setup was 1 ele shaman, 1 fury warr, 1 arcane mage, 1 balance druid(me) and a prot war.
I threw a regrowth and a rejuv on tank and he pulled, then we bl'ed. Shaman interrupted first, mage 2nd with counterspell, and both warriors interrupted the third, and he died. Our war used shield wall and last stand etc after my heals ran out, and I fully concentrated on nuking him. The fight took a total of 26 seconds or something.
Might want to mention: Mage 5,1k dps, ele shaman 5k dps, me 4,2k dps, fury war 4k dps, tank 2k dps.
All in full 213 gear mostly.
And to comments above..this is not the hardest in game =/ I'd say the oculus ones are harder..This one just needs a bucket load of dps, or mad reflexes. Oculus ones requires HUGE coordination skills.

I honestly don't like to think some achievements have required classes, but a Rogue with Throwing Spec/Adrenaline Rush and a Shaman of any kind really make this achievement cake.
As posted previously, have two members in your group interupt the first two casts (my group was myself, Prot Warrior and our Elemental Shaman) then after the second interupt pop Bloodlust/Heroism and have the Rogue cover all interupts from there on.
Bloodlust + Adrenaline Rush + Fan of Knives + 2/3 Aditional Capable DPS = Easy Less-Rabi

Just got this achievement.
Group setup:
Druid tank
Enha sham (me)
Rogue with throw speci
Fire & arcane Mage
I was specced for the 5s cd shock
I pulled and started the stopwatch, and from that point I spammed ES everytime it was off cd, and I hit every interrupt.
At around 10-15% and 29sec in, our rogue pop Adrenaline rush and begins to spam Fan of Knives, and he got the last interrupt.
He cast the mammoth spell every 10-20-25-30-35-40sec, with decent dps.
So simple, get a shaman with and make him pull and start the stopwatch at the same time. At around 30sec, 10-15% let the rogue spam Fan of knives.
Got it first try after the rogue respecced for this.

Tried once again to complete this achievement, it's the hardest one in game according to my experience, we "wiped it" 19 times. We popped BL in then beginning and we had 3 transforms whence 2 was interrupted and the last one was instant, he had 3k hp left. Our group was ;
1 Death-Knight Tank
1 Arcane/Fire Mage
1 Elemental-Shaman
1 Holy Priest ( dpsing )
1 Boomkin Druid
The dk took care of the first transform, me (mage) took care of the second transform and the third came when he had around 3-4k hp left and it was instant, no human eye can react that fast.
What are we doing wrong ?
Help... this is insane : (

Easies way that we did it was as following:
No healer ofc
Tank that can do decent dps
4 solid dpsers including myself (ele shaman) - You NEED REVERBERTATION! (less cooldowns on shocks by 1 second)
Our setup personally was Boomkin, Pallytank, Mage, Mage and me.
Basicly I dpsed until we got to the first cast, I interupted it and then waited for the next cast, AS SOON AS MY EARTH SHOCK CAME OFF COOLDOWN I SPAMMED IT AND IT INTERUPTED HIM. Its worked every single time ive done the instance. Good luck! Btw our dps meter looked like this
1. MageNumber1 - 8213 dps
2. MageNumber2 - 7612 dps
3. EleShaman(me) - 5121 dps
4. BoomkinOfLol - 4992 dps
5. Pallytankadin - 3002 dps

Retri paladin
Resto shamman
two mages
we had really sick dps so we could down him in just 4 interrupts , but we had to do it 6 times to learn the timing, the shammy spammed interrupts till 50% then one mage and the other and pally and druid too spammed after 50 %
DPS is key to this as has been mentioned previously and thanks Tmesis for the macro it helped alot :)

We just did it with my group, we had some troubles but we managed to pull it off!
Group Setup:
Hunter - MM specced
2x Paladins - Holy & Retri specced
Death Knigth - Frost
Druid - Feral
Ok, we can agree that we dident have the best setup, by having a holy paladin, but since I dident have anything else but holy gear and wanted in, we wanted to do it anyhow.
We basicly just started out slow to 50% by using no cooldowns, after he hit 50% all burned CD's and were all on top by standing and be ready with interrupt - by making sure the GCD is not up!
Interrupt rotation
1st - DK | 2nd - Druid | 3th - DK | 4rd - Both palas (to make sure) | 5th Hunter(basicly all who had interrupt CD ready.
I wish all good luck with this achievement, since it can be a pain in the b***!
I hope my post can help someone with this awesome achievement!
Buuut! In the end! - All thoose wipes was worth it, when we managed to down it!

My group has been trying this for weeks with no luck. Even with reverberation and earth shock spam, he always transforms. We don't know why it isn't working, it's horribly aggravating though. I wish it would work for us like it has seemed to work for everyone here.

After 2 weeks of tries i finally make it, i tryed evvery tactic, full nuke, stop dps at 40% wait his cast and use mage's CS, and so on. But the only one that has worked was the Reverberation Shaman one, ok we used this tactic:
The group was composed by:
2x Elemetal Shamans with 5/5 Reverberation
1x Destruction Warlock
1x Boomkin
1x Feral Druid (tank)
Ok, the first elemental shaman interrupted Moorabi's Transformation untill 50%, then 50-0% he cast every 5 sec so i started to interrupt his first cast during that phase and then i kept spam Earth Shock as soon as it was out of cooldown, while the other shaman was doing dps. Obviously the boss stunned several times during the fight thats why me and the other shaman used Free Action Potion to avoid it. We did 1 try and we make it. This is the best tactic ever.

2 Survival Hunters
3988 DPS & 3585 DPS
Frost DK (in DPS gear)
2982 DPS
Disc Priest (DPSing)
1k DPS
Ret Paladin
3.4k DPS
We were flased, food buffed etc. Did it in 29 seconds, 2 interrupts.
Paladin got the first interrupt, DK got the second.
Took us a while to get it down, but we got it. Enjoy ^_^

Another option if you have a rogue that wants this achivement. Spec with 2 points into Throw Specialization under the combat tree. After 50%, pop Adrenaline Rush, and spam Fan of Knives. This will cause you to be able to interupt for almost every second, for 5 seconds.
I haven't tried it yet, but i'll let you know how it works out.

Okey, for all those who have been struggeling with this achievement, here is your redemption.
After messing arround with countless of elemental shamans and there reverebration/earthshock, i finally figured out the easiest way to do this achievement.
We've wiped countless of times (atleast 30, since i had to repair 3 times with everything broken), untill our shaman had to leave.
The whole party was dissapointed that we still didnt have the achievement done and that it was too late ( 2 in the morning on monday ) to find a new shaman.
Then a guildie of mine whispered me. A rogue. If we needed a dps for the achievement.
Then it finally came trough to me! How could it be so simple? (i have a rogue myself, dont know how i couldnt have tought about this before >.<)
Make the rogue spec deep into combat, and take Throwing spec.
This will make his Fan of Knives interupt for 3 seconds.
Here's the guide:
Dps the boss down and make the tank interupt the first cast, wich with allot of dps like we had, will happen at about 75%.
Then, at 55%, let the rogue pop Adrenaline rush, and just spam Fan of Knives for the rest of the fight, while the rest pops all cooldowns to bring the boss down asap.
After the 30 wipes we had with the shaman, we got the achievement the first try with the rogue. DAMN what a relief!
Our set-up was:
Me, Hunter.
Prot Paladin.
Ret Paladin.
Unholy DK.
Rogue.

Just got this a few minutes ago
Group comp was:
Ele shaman with 5/5 reverb
Enh shaman
Resto Druid
Prot Pally (went ret)
Shadow Priest
Been after this a few months, and came up with a few different strats. Very frustrating achievement imo
Had the ele and enh shamans on initial shock duty, tried free action pots, they don't work against the knockdown fyi, finally had our prot pally go ret since he wasn't taking a lot of damage, used seal of blood, and we just nuked our a$$es off. He only cast 3 times with the dps we put out.
So it is a do able ach, just very annoying, be prepared to reset him over and over until you get it timed right
Good luck!

Might seem odd, but I found that with a crap dps group he might be doable. At least up to 30% his casts were easily interrupted with dk-mage-lock combo. After that we failed, but we didn't try seriously. Is it just me or would this be actually far easier with controllable or crap dps till that 30%?

I just got this achievement today after some careful planning and the best setup you possibly can get.
2x Rogues
Death Knight
Shaman
Hunter (can be any random dps, just make sure the dps is good)
Everyone was Dps'ing, Myself and the other rogue both specced the same spec specifically for this achievement to allow for us to do as much dps as possible while interrupting everything.
This is the Spec we used:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#f0ebojhZ0xV0xcxqbuMxRx:L
(take note of the glyph)
The DK was dps'ing with Frost Presence so he didn't need any healing. The shaman used Heroism just as we started. Me and the other rogue went in and auto attacked and kicked the first transforms. At about 60-50% we both popped Adrenaline Rush and Blade Flurry and started spamming Fan of Knives until he was dead. The hunter was just dps'ing normally. He died in 28 seconds and Less-Rabi was ours.
Personally I think this is the easiest way to do it.
I hope this will help a lot of you people out there trying to get this, meanwhile I'm gonna go get Make it Count and the Reins of the Red Proto-Drake will be mine :)

a group with over 21,500 dps can kill him in under 20 seconds. This will only allow him to cast 1 transformation, at exactly 50% hp. 5 dps doing 4,300 each can survive long enough to kill him without dieing.

Use your interrupt spell as soon as the yellow message pops up who says: "Moorabi begins to transform", this will make it alot easier... at least this is the way I got my achievement.
You need one of the interrupters to stop DPS or heal before the 3rd and 4th transform.

Well this failed for my group yesterday. We had someone interrupt a 1,2s cast on 35%, then we burned him as hard as possible. Then on 1%, his did his last cast which was a 0,4s cast. He then transformed and we killed him, not getting the chance to reset. Very challenging achievement

I got some friends and some friend's friends to come do this achievement today and might I say, I've never seen a heroic boss die so fast in my life. We had our mage counterspell the first attempt at transform at about 37-42%, I couldn't tell, and the boss died at 13 seconds into the fight. I put up a video on youtube, it was epic haha.
Our group make up
Mage : 8585 dps
Boomkin(me): 6637 dps
Boomkin: 4769 dps
Ele sham: 3881 dps
DK tank: 2372 dps
The mage is in full Best in Slot ulduar 25 gear and is a pretty sick mage. I've been guildless for about 3 months due to horrible hours and my times I'm online, the rest of the guys are in equal or lesser gear than me. I'm 5/5 tier 7.5, pretty much all naxx 25 gear and an ulduar 10 dagger.
I had failed on this achievement sooo many times with other groups, that 0.4 sec cast transform is just sick, so I'd recommend bringing a group like I did and blowing the boss to smithereens :P Good luck to those still farming their Red Proto, please dont' down rate my comment

The best way to do this is very simple, take high DPS, a shaman for blood lust and atleast 1 class should be able to provide a 4 second lockout to his spells.
I've done this achieve like 20 times for friends, but the best combo so far was a DK, warrior tank, rouge, druid healer and a dps shammy. The healer and tank class don't matter, boss hits like a punk. However rogue and DK are great at interupts.
We popped lust at the start, rogue kick 1 cast around 55% and the boss was before he got to cast anything else, fight was super fast, obviously the DK was on standby to lockout the second cast had it been needed, the real key is just take high dps and blood lust for good measure.
Easy 1 shot of boss, entered instance, cleared trash and boss for achieve in under 2 mins, no need to make it seem harder than it is.

Replying to get this seen. As of today, if you fight Moorabi up on the platform by the altar, he will despawn randomly. Our group successfully interrupted all of his casts and got him down to below 10% health before he disappeared, leaving us with no achievement. Repeated the process, successfully interrupted, and he despawned again. It appears that you absolutely must fight him in the center of the room to ensure that you get the achievement.

Did it today, with Shaman specced 5/5 in Reverberation and spamming Earth Shock after 50%.
We also noticed that the interrupt sometimes lands few moments before the actual cast, happened on several tries. So we decided to use the "wait a moment" tactic: after Earth Shock was ready the Shaman didn't instantly cast it again, but waited a moment (like 0.2-0.3 seconds) before doing it. And he got all the interrupts right!
So if you're going for Reverberation tactic and your Shaman has good latency, it might be better to take only 4/5 in Reverberation and spam Earth Shock the moment it goes off cooldown.
Either way, it only takes a couple attempts at most with this tactic, as long as you accommodate it with your latency/reflexes.
Good luck! :)

Finally got my Red Proto Drake after a week of discouragement with this achievement, but here's how the group and I did it.
First of, we did the zerg method as mentioned above, but there was one unusual factor - our last attempt before we got the achievement through the zerg method was achieved without using a Shaman with Bloodlust.
Yes, you heard me right. No Bloodlust AT ALL. Here was the group make-up and specs, along with the average DPS from each party member. Keep in mind that everyone here was in mostly Ulduar 10 / 25 gear:
Blood Death Knight (3.1k DPS, was also our tank)
Mutilate Rogue (4.1k DPS)
Combat Rogue (4.0k DPS) (Also spec'd for 2/2 Imp Throwing Specialization)
Survival Hunter (5.1k DPS)
Destro Lock (5k DPS)
Total party DPS: 21.2k DPS.
We had the Rogues use Tricks of the Trade on the DK, who was also our tank. The DK popped Army, and pulled the boss. The first transformation came in at around 55%, in which one Rogue kicked it. Our Combat Rogue, who was also spec'd for 2/2 Imp Throwing Specialization, popped Adrenaline Rush @ 50% and began spamming Fan of Knives like crazy in an effort to interrupt his possible transformation. It was a great success at interrupting his second and final cast @ 20%.
RNG plays a slight factor in the Quake move he does, which will knock party members down and may cause him to pop a transform at the wrong time without any interrupts. If that happened, we just simply ran out of the room and reset the boss.
Other than that, the zerg method is by far the easiest way to go in getting the achievement. Even if you don't have a Shaman for Bloodlust / Heroism, you CAN still do it, and it IS still possible!
Hope this small guide helped, and good luck with your achievement.

We used a Tank / 4 DPS
We used an Interruption rotation of DK/Shaman for the first 2 casts, With a Mage on the 3rd
Counterspell Seemed to give us a Long Lockout period, so we were able to burn his last 1/3, Even with a Quake

Just completed this achievement with:
Prot pally
2 Ret pally
Frost DK
Myself, ele sham specced Reverb 5/5
Dps with no cooldowns (I tossed a few heals to the prot pally) until the first interupt (we had him down to about 60-55% at this point). We got a lucky Quake right after the interupt, then I popped BL and proceeded to use my Earth Shock on the first cast after 50%, and by spamming Earth Shock I hit 3 interupts dead-on and we completed this. Took about 10 attempts.
********NOTE: When I did the first interupt after 50%, I had a paladin BoP me, and it prevented me from getting quaked. Also, I was at max range from Moorabi and its close enough to receive BoP.**********
Good Luck!

After trying to use a little strategy on this we settled on a somewhat easier method for our group:
Blood DK
Fury Warrior
Rogue
Ret Paladin (he had healed on prior attempts)
Elemental Shaman
I summoned Army of the Dead and used a DPS spec since the point was to zerg him down before anyone had to tank anything (army doing their chain taunt thing throughout).
We interrupted his first cast at ~70%. It was important to pummel the very end of his cast so that we had a couple more seconds DPS time before he began casting again.
His next cast was ~47%. Again, we interrupted at the end of his cast when he was somewhere around 31% health. From there we just killed him outright. With five DPS he fell over dead pretty quickly.

Business as usual down to 50%, then popped
Adrenaline Rush
and spammed
Fan of Knives
. One was able to hit him and he died before a second fast one could get off.

My group has tried this a few times with a zerg strategy.
Blood DK tank
Retadin
Unholy Dk
Retadin
Oomkin
We burn him down super fast, so fast that we don't get a first interrupt til around 50%, I, the dps dk, take care of that and we just continue to burn. Our dps is really high and we all watch for interrupting the second one but he ALWAYS stuns us and then while stunned casts transform at <10%, usually around 4%. Are we hitting some sort of safety measure where he HAS to use the stun so he uses it at pretty much the last second, giving him time to transform again? Or is our dps just slightly not enough to completely avoid a stun?
EDIT: We've tried the throw spec strat with someone sitting out and after a few attempts of the rogue spamming FoK he'd get a cast off at low health between the gcd incurred by the rogue's fok >< Today we tried a shaman 4/5 reverb, after 50% she shocked one then the next one came before her shock was off cd. She headed out and respecced 5/5 and by the 3rd or 4th cast she ended up casting ES right before he cast transform and he was so low we ended up killing him. Anyone have any possible suggestions?

There is a very simple way to do this. I spent like 5 days trying and then finally got it. What u need is people who are at least half ulduar 25 geared. what i did was use a elem shaman, rogue, mage, death knight and ret pali. 5 dps, the first interupt you stop with the mage counter spell that gives u 10 seconds, if u hero at the start u should down him before he gets the 2nd interupt off. simple as that

Did this today in 4 or 5 attempts with the following setup:
Unholy DK
Ret Pally
Feral (Cat) Druid
Combat Rogue
Prot Warrior
Rogue specced into 2/2 Throwing Specialization just for this. Our interrupt rotation was Shield Slam first, Kick second, Maim third, Rogue start spamming FoK with Ret ready to HoJ and DK ready to Mind Freeze.
We read here that Mind-numbing poison would work to increase casting time, but it didn't seem to make a very noticeable difference. Better safe than sorry though. We were getting boss to about 40% health by the time he cast the second transformation, and ultimately he only cast three interrupts. I, the druid, got my maim off, but others used theirs as well because the boss was so low at this point. In the end who knows which one of the interrupts got the .04 second cast. We did not use AotD. We were waiting until we got the pattern down pat before we popped it, but got the achievement before we ended up needing it.
My main piece of advice is to take your wipes (try to run out) as long as you have to. There are countless group setups that will work for this and in the end it's more about getting your interrupt rotation down than just about anything. You'll get it if you stick to it. Although, please do note that in a fight that will last around one minute max (probably considerably less) you do not need a healer.
Addendum: We're on a really bad server and in mostly Naxx 10/25 (Ulduar 10 here and there) gear. Knowing how to play your toon is far more important than your iLevel here.
edit: Found a punctuation mark that didn't belong and removed it.

If nicely under 200ms of lag, this ach is extremely easy with a rogue in group who is specced with 2/2 throwing specialization.
If you want to do rest of instance (which we did to try and get 'Share The Love) make sure you take a dual spec healer/dps, as for the rabi fight you will want them dps'ing.
Also a good idea not to take too much melee so that the rogue has a good sight of Moorabi.
Have your tank pull, and then rogue stand as close as possible to Moorabi.
I (rogue) dps'ed for just a few secs and then made sure I had 1 combo point left for 'Deadly Throw'
Watch the cast bar, then use the interrupt almost at end.
I then stopped dps apart from using SS to get 1 combo point, and just kept waiting till i saw cast bar before instantly using deadly throw on each subsequent cast.
In the end I managed 5 interupts before he was finally down and group earned achievement, (though lag was such that i could have kept doing it indefinitely).
On a subsequent visit with a different group, lag was over 300 ms and i could only manage 3, so basically you do need a little bit of luck with what lag you get once you go inside the instance.

From patch 3.2 notes:
Silence, Strangulate, Silencing Shot, and Arcane Torrent: These abilities will also apply a 3 second interrupt effect against non-player controlled targets, making them more versatile against creatures immune to silencing effects.
Does that mean that this achievement just got quite a bit easier?

The best way I have found to do this which hasn't failed me yet is to bring a warrior with the sheild slam interrupt & silence thing... Lol sorry I don't know what this is called. A group make up of 4 DPS 1 Warrior tank is excellent, as long as the tank is geared enough not to die.
2 of the DPS interrupt the first 2 cast as the last possible second (let the cast bar almost finish before interrupting) so you get more DPS time and more time inbetween casts, then the warrior uses his interrupt (with the 6 second silence) and this basically gives you 14 seconds after the 3rd interrupt to kill the boss before he casts again...
Of course this strategy requires a relatively geared group, and myself being a Resto/Enhance Shaman, I used Bloodlust right off the bat to help burn him down even faster.

Just did it with the following setup:
Blood-DK (~4k dps)
Enhancer-Shaman (~4.5k dps)
Arcane-Mage (~3.8k dps)
Feral-Tank (~2.1k dps)
Disci-Priest as healer
I as tank was wearing my cat-gear for more damage-output, we did heroism as soon as we engaged Moorabi. The first cast was interrupted by my bash, linked with the following macro:
#showtooltip
/cast Bash(Rank 3)
/sw 120
/script stopwatch_Play();
/in 1 /rw 6
/in 2 /rw 5
/in 3 /rw 4
/in 4 /rw 3
/in 5 /rw 2
/in 6 /rw 1
/in 7 /rw
/in 7.75 /rw
/in 8.5 /rw
What the macro does is that as soon as I interrupt the first cast a timer starts, and as we noticed that it takes about 7 seconds for the next cast to be done we tried to "precast" an interrupt. Worked great, as long as everyone casts his interrupt as his name appears in the raidwarning. We thought this macro is very helpfull, did the achievement at the first try we used the macro.
Good luck,

We just completed this tonight. We had a rogue respec into AR and Throwing Spec. Once he hits 50%, the rogue pops AR and spams fan of knives. I had previously tried this with a Shaman in reverb but failed every time. We one shot this.

Well i just got this achievement about 20min ago. The way our group did it was just burn him down with insane dps. Are grouped consisted of:
Warrior - Tank
Mage - Arcane DPS (me)
Shaman - Elemental DPS
Druid - Boomkin DPS
Warlock - Destruction DPS
Well what we did was absolutely unleashed hell onto him. We popped ALL are cooldowns, and by meaning that, we used Flasks, trinkets, bloodlust, haste potion, and i used Icy Veins with Mirror Image, Arcane power... EVERYTHING! I was literally spamming 1 sec Arcane blast the whole time and was critting for like 18k... The Tank interupted his 1st transformation, and once he did that, that was it. He was downed within a couple seconds, he didnt even managed to transform to his 2nd stage. I managed to pull almost 9k dps in that fight.. To be exact i pulled out 8924dps.... Everyone else was in the 6k range, except for the tank of course.
So my suggestion to get this achievement, is to forget about the interrupts. Have one person do it.. preferrably the tank, and get 4 crazy dps and just smash him with everything. And btw, it only took us 1 time to do it.. one shot ftw.

We did this a few days ago.
Our setup was Warri, Schaman, 2x DK und retri paladin.
All 5 went damage for the kill, both DKs used Army of the dead und we nuked him down in round about 15 seconds.

This achievement is very very easy if you follow the following steps:
- Combat rogue w/ throwing specialisation talented.
Standard interrupt rotation until around 35% when things start to happen very quickly. At that point, trigger adrenaline rush + mind crippling poison on the blades, and spam Fan of Knives until dead.
Even easier if you have a mage, have them use counter spell when @ 35% and burn hard. Again, easy victory.
*note: throwing specialisation is not part of the standard EJ combat rogue composition, so most rogues will need to respec for this ability.

Did it excactly the way the poster above said it. Party consisting of: Pally Tank, Mage, Priest (healer, we didnt go for the achievement, we where just badge farming, so this one was a healing specced priest, not dps), hunter and rogue (combat specced with fok specialisation, both swords equiped with mindnumbing poison). Me, the rogue, and the Mage did the disrupting the transformation. We where all stunned after we did. We went in with a mindset that we would try all achievements during our badge farming runs, but we didnt expect to one shot this hell of an achievement. Just use the same setup, but replace the healer. Put the Mage and Rogue on interrupt, the rest just nuke him down, even the tank. After all possible setups and a lot of sleeplessnights, finally got it and with that, my red proto drake. Hope this was helpfull.

Did this today in 11 seconds, we only had one interrupt during the fight.
Group makeup was:
Prot Warrior (me)
Ret Paladin
Survival Hunter
Feral Druid
Elemental Shaman (doesn't have any points in reverberation)
BL helps a lot during the fight, and everyone besides me had 4k+ dps.

Did this today with a couple of guildies on our 4th try. The setup was:
Blood Death Knight (Mind Freeze/Strangulate/Arcane Torrent)
Enhancement Shaman
Warlock
Blood Death Knight(Mind Freeze/Strangulate)
Rogue (Kick)
Our Shammy put BL in the beginning and we burned him down as fast as we could, all cooldowns etc (Army of Dead was on CD on both me and the other DK). When the first transform came, I waited as long as possible to interrupt it so that we gain some extra time to dps him down, then we all counted to 5 in our heads and popped all our silence/interrupt skills, one of which had to hit him and eventually we killed him without letting him to try transforming for the 3rd time.
Not a very difficult achievement if you have some luck and really good dps + good interrupt setup.

only tactic i've found usable is trow yourself at that boss for many attempts.
make sure to not have to many dots, wolves, mirror image, ... so you can wipe if you fail.
we had around 18k dps as group (no healer, can tank him without healer very easily, myself as uld25 geared blood dk tank i end the fight with full hp, did this bc else we sometimes had a 4th cast at around 1-3% hp), could have been more, but it is more then enough and better to make sure the boss doesn't die bc of some pet.
tactic used was 1st interupt w8 as long as possible to interupt, that way boss is past 50%. he'll stun group then it's the matter of being lucky that stun is shorter then cast. so someone can just spam his interupt. if that one succeeded. we'd nuke and when he got to 10% start doing our interupts at good luck. on the succesfull try, no one actually saw the cast bar, but it was interupted and killed afterwards.
no need for a shaman this way, only good dps and decent tank that doesn't need healer.

Down it in 16 seconds.
Zerg mode.
If you need the achievement yourself and you don't have anyone in the guild that wants to help, just pay your players a DPS flask and a Haste Potion. And put a fish table if you have 450/450 cooking skills.
My pug setup was:
7896 - Elemantal Shaman For the totems and bloodlust
6740 - Mage He forgot to use his mirror mage ...
5381 - Warlock He forgot to change his spec, dpsing in pvp spec.
5016 - Balance druid He was in naxx 10 gear only.
1627 - Warrior tank Me, forgot to put on my block value gear. (interupter)
Pugable, you can even make some mistakes.
We one-shotted this achievement.
Personally, I think that the "zerg mode tactic" is the easiest one.

5 days and counting of trying this... 5/5 reverb shammy didn't work b/c it wasn't 5 seconds
mage counterspell definitely a big help, dont bring 2 mages though >.<
my last heroic achievement. *stiff upper lip*

Our way of doing this was having 1 tank, 4DPS. Having the holy pala going ret for the extra dmg really takes him down fast, and you can get away with 2-3 interrupts. GL, we had to do some resetting ^^We had 2 ret palas, a rouge and a random + me as tank.

just got it... had a friend finally tell me about the true-zerg method. as per usual, an achievement meant for overgeared folks.
pally tank, 2 mages, ele sham, enh sham.
heroism right away
tank interrupts 1st, 6 second lock out
mage counterspells 2nd, 8 second lock out
it was laughably easy.
group dps was 23.3k dps for a burn of 21 seconds

I've done alot of attempts to get this achievement, and the easiest way to get it is by going 5 Dps. Thats what I did today and got the achievement. Spawn Army of the Dead, use Bloodlust pop a hastepotion and go all out on the damage, have the DK do the interrupt as late as possible. The only tricky part about it is the stun. The first attempt we did today we got the stun and just had to wipe it. Run back in and wait for army then have another go. Used the same tactics on the 2nd attempt and downed him easily. Buffing up with flask/foodbuffs helps alot.
Setup:
Mage (Fire): 6738
Shaman (Elemental): 5598
Deathknight (Blood): 4917
Shaman (Enhancement): 4844
Priest (Shadow): 3044
Total DPS: 25141

Hey all, my group have just been trying to do this achieve for over an hour now and we have got him to 1% on 1 time and he has despawned....and this was about the 3rd time he has despawned when we thought we had the achievement...we are boomkin-prot warrior-lock-mage-shammy we have imba dps and always get him lower than 50% before the 2nd interrupt..the 3rd interrupt is always on like 25%-10% and on those 3 times we actually prevented him from transforming and after that he dissapeared..and respawned about 30 seconds later with full health..
I would like to know why this is happening...
I have wrote a ticket to blizzard but as usual its 6 hours later and still no response..if anyone can explain this to me i would be very happy.
Thanks

not much healing needed for this fight at all but does it work if you get a group of prot pala (i have solo Krystallus in Halls of Stone heroic on my tankadin), and 4 rogues glyphed/specced to FoK interrupt? (dont know much about rogues but its either glyph or specc or even both which giving that effect to FoK)
would be easy and quick if rogues start dps and kick the boss in a row till he's at 50% and then use adrenaline rush and start FoK spam, use a herb tea to refill their energy if they dont get enough to spam for 15sec~.

Did it with 5 dps:
Death Knight - his Army tanked boss
Warrior
Feral Druid
Elemntal Shaman (lust from the start)
Mage (very important for CSing first cast)
Basicly... we got boss down in 13 seconds and mage Counterspelled first cast which locked the cast out for entire fight.

Got this today, with a normal group setup. Our DPS was good, but nothing earthshattering.
Protection Warrior,
Rogue,
Blood-DPS Death Knight,
Arcane Mage,
Discipline Priest (who was primarily healing.)
Warrior interrupted the first cast, death knight the second, and warrior the third (and final) cast.
It took several attempts, but eventually we got him. The last try, I (the warrior) used a custom DBM timer to count down 6 seconds after each successful interrupt. That seemed to help me get an interrupt on the third cast.

Ya, this in my opinion can be the one that gives people the most trouble. For me at least, it was the last avhievement of Glory for of the Hero that I got done.
This is how we did it:
me tank (feral druid) 1 elemental shaman, 1 boom kin, 1 arcane mage, 1 hunter. 1 interrupt (my bash). We did hero, fire elemental, treants all before pulling, as soon as all were done we pulled.
I did enrage, rage pot, before pulling, and then did berserk and spammed mangle and maul at the same time (pulled with faerie fire btw) When he began to cast his first transform, I waited till the very last second to bash and interrupt.
He died before he was able to cast the next one. This was a 16 second kill, no joke. We had a mage doing 9.5k dps, the shaman doing 6k, the boom kin doing 5.9k, the hunter doing nearly 4k, and me doing 2k dps. As long as you have CRAZY dps, you will get this achievement doing it this way. Tell all 4 of your DPS to ignore interrupting and let the tank worry about it. Tell the tank to wait till the very last moment to interrupt. This buys the dps that much more time to kill the boss before he even can cast a 2nd one. Its got to be a wicked fast kill 16 second or under basically. I saw a video of it done this way. I figured the 1st cast is the easiest one to do, and if your having all your DPS focus on DPSing their hearts out, and let the tank interupt, you can achieve this dps race goal.
Was sweet, i jumped out of my chair, did a victory lap around the room, tripped a couple times, then finished the rest of the instance helping ppl get the What the eck, and share the love. Hearthed to dalaran, and got my mount.

Shaman popped heroism. Tank hammer of justice'd at very last second to give us more time. Mage CS next transform. Me and other pally and shaman were all ready for 3rd transform but it didn't reach that stage. All DPS were between 2.8k-3.5k

Well, been failing at this for a while now, and I finally had the "ideal" group setup.
Prot warrior
Shadow Priest (me)
Felhunter (ahem, warlock)
Arcane Mage
Combat Rogue (after FoK nerf)
I figured I'd intentionally slow dps a bit so the third interrupt would be reasonably easy to interrupt, and the felhunter would mystically handle the last one. The third mage got the third interrupt, and I started to feel very excited. Only a quake could screw this up... or so I thought.

For easy-mode.
Bring
1 deathknight
and 4 other high DPS
(yeah, no tank needed or even a healer)
1. Let DK use his Army of the Dead and pull when all are up
2. Let DK interrupt the first transform
3. Win
With enough DPS you can kill it in one transform only. Seems like the timer from first transform wont reset when it goes over the 50% health-mark. We killed it in 19.6 seconds and we did not even have a good dps group (from 2-6k dps each).
IMPORTANT: Try not to go below 50% before first transform, then you will get a second transform at 15 seconds, and you will need to have good timing to interrupt it if boss is at 25% or less health on second one. If you have a really nice DPS group, then tell one DPS to start dps 3-5 seconds into the fight, to make sure you wont pass 50% HP on first transform. Or simply try push it to kill him in 14.9 seconds! :D
ANOTHER way you can do this is to go slow DPS till 51% and completely stop DPS and just interrupt the incoming ones.
At given signal, JUST after an interrupt, go insane DPS and it should die within 10 seconds from that. But this one is harder than above! :)

I have to say, the easiest way to get this achievement these days is to burn him down with 5x DPS using food, pots, and heroism. We only had to interrupt once. A DK with Army of the Dead also helps with the healing as well.

was frustrating, he casted it at like 1%.

As an arcane mage, the strat I've used so far and if done right has yet to fail for me is to bring the boss to ~75% with slow DPS and have someone inturupt it. Preferably don't use shield bash or counterspell. This is done to avoid a stun during the "burn" phase (which is considered 40% of his HP in 10 plus change seconds. This usually requires a lusted/hero'd w/ CD's group DPS of ~17000, which is low considering alot of people have their healers go DPS and arc mages with CD's do ALOT).
After the first inturupt, all DPS but the arc mage goes all out, the mage must be prepared to counterspell at around 50-40%. Between 70 and 50% the mage (or myself) is blowing all cooldowns available and stacking AB slowly ready for a burn. If the DPS is low, the mage can assist to make sure theres not too much HP left for the burn, but not too little that they will miss the inturupt. If the DPS is too high (IE: getting him to 25%), you may not want them to go "all out" untill after the second inturupt. There is a good chance he will cast exactly at 50% so be prepared.
As soon as the CS is hit, the mage goes all out (which should be, if you have a lust/hero, capable of at least 8k DPS, if not 10). The boss should be dead within 10.5s that u need to kill him. The counterspell will lock out his third cast giving you that extra time to kill him, and If you need confirmation on this, Try it out, you will see the raid warning that hes transforming, but he wont cast anything.
Ive done this with 3 4 and 5 DPS, but having only 3, ESPC if theyre not all pulling 4-5k, is tough. When going with 3 we tried to burn him to more like 60% before the first interupt.
The only times that a group has not done this properly with me is if another player hits the second inturupt instead of me, which ends in fail since the boss will usually die about 2 seconds after casting. Make sure everyone in your group understands that after the first inurupt, their job is to DPS and ONLY DPS.
I also suggest lusting/heroing before the pull, as it will still be up after the fight and will be just one less thing to worry about.
Did this 3 times recently, first try each time.

We've done this 6 days in a row now, failed every one.
Last night we had about ~4400dps overall on every player. 4 DPS, 1 tank.
Fight took 16 seconds, and we didn't get the achievement.
The 10sec interrupt was ok, however he died while transforming. He never did transform, can't find any info on why he transformed the last second.
Anyone know anything about this?

Is this doable using 4 DK's with decent gear that all uses their Army of the Dead?
And last spot maybe a... Combat Rogue?
I'm having troulble with finding a way that can do this, so I was gonna do it with brute force so we only have to do max 2 interrupts, maybe 3. And 4 DK's with me was the fastest way i could think of...
Just wanna know if it's a winning strat!

Prot warrior / Rogue / Mage / retri pala / holy pala (we are hordes)
so at engange normal dps, warrior interrupts first, keep steady dps, rogue kicks 2nd
steady dps until the 3rd cast, mage CS pop cooldown and burn! right before he went down he was about to cast his 4th transform and i toke a little risk and popped arcane torrent, thank god it worked and we got it :-)!
gl on this achievement you'll need it ;)

This has to be the one achievement that every pug tries to do but fails 99% of the time. Or more accurately, one person DOESN'T want to do it and causes a failure because he/she didn't even attempt to stop the cast when there was a chance to do so.
Definetely the hardest one to do, this achievement is one that being overgeared will not guarantee you success, like some others. DPS'ing him down fast really helps, but even people who DPS well might be bad at interrupting, so keep that in mind when selecting who to do this with.

Ok got this today in 3.3 finally, it was the last and final I needed. Composistion was:
Warrior in Tank Spec but DPS gear
Destro Lock w/ Felhunter (macro for spell lock, all abilities turn to manual)
Ele Shammy
Mage
Rogue
What we did was had the tank pull and Shammy popped bloodlust. We got him to about 40%-45% before his first cast. The Mage used counterspell near the end of the cast bar (you could easily see the cast bar at this point). I had the rogue counting 5 sec then kicking and myself and the Shammy counting 8 and my felhunter spell lock (had a macro) and shammy wind shear just in case. Well can't be sure but we never saw another cast bar, he did stun at about 15% and I was at 7 sec in my count. I spammed with the fel hunter macro and as soon as stun was done BAM! there was the achievment. So not sure if the mage counterspell lasted the full 8 sec and my fel hunter got him or if the rogue got him at 5 sec from first cast. Either way best to tackle this with a mage for the counter spell and then have other folks counting either 5sec or 8sec and spamming their interrupts. Our mage also stated that he tried this before and cast counter spell prior to 50% and it didnt' last 8 sec, so I'm guessing he will cast regardless at 50%. Can't be 100% though. Fight lasted all of 15 sec. Our group was decently geared, between 4600 and 5100 GS pulling about 3k-4.5k DPS each. Bottom line Max DPS is the way it worked for us. Good Luck.

Patch 3.3:
Just bring 5 DPS with a "high gear score" (I hate that addon)
-Preferably a plate DPS that can just take a bit of a beating.
-And a Shaman for Bloodlust.
Tactic:
Just nuke like crazy, with a Bloodlust up. Do NOT interrupt the first Transformation cast until it has 0.1 seconds remaining - if your group has good enough DPS he should be almost dead, before he has time to cast a second. As soon as the first is interrupted, have everyone spam silences/interrupts and he'll die within seconds. Obviously somebody should be assigned to interrupt the first cast as late as possible.
Did it like this today with a group that all did 4000 DPS (except me, who only did 2000, because my alt has !@#$ gear)

3 Manned this today. Prot paladin , unholy dk and enhancment shaman. I was the shaman and i was specced into 4/5 reduced cooldown on windshear.
It was quite easy , i got the first interrupt , he did another one above 50% which the dk got and then he did the third at 40ish which i got and i kep spamming my Windshear afterwards and it caught every cast till he was dead.
Quite easy with this method and when you have less dps there's less danger of him dieing right after a cast.

After countless of attempts with multiple interrupting classes (I tried anything, from paladin to warrior to mage to shaman rotating their interupts) to the elemental shaman trick, it never seemed to work.
After going with a prepared group hitting for only the mammoth boss, we finally suceeded at getting it in less than... 15 seconds if not less. I was puzzled at how we did it and how it seemed to be so easy. It really is with the right people.
The setup of our group was:
Me (Prot Paladin)
Elemental Shaman
Mage
Shadow Priest
Ret Paladin
We had no healers, therefore we only concentrated on killing the boss. We only had ONE interrupt, and the mage did it. Mage's interrupt is 8 seconds while other capable classes only last for 4 seconds. Then pew pew bam, he died in that 8 seconds of interruption. I had mine just in case, but it wasn't needed. The shaman used her Heroism and we all dps'ed the boss till he died. Our gear varied from 219-245, so crazy dps is needed. Also, the mage didn't interrupt as soon as he saw the mammoth transformation cast. He let it off to less than 1 second than interrupted, which gave more time for us to dps the boss without worrying about having another cast to interrupt at low health.
Hopefully this helps! Seriously, I was awed at how fast we got this.

It's probably a fairly rare issue, but might explain the "He transformed at 1%" problem some people have been having.
Mage, Spriest, DK tank (myself), Boomkin, and Ret Paladin. Very good dps, only got off two casts. However, the health bar stopped dropping completely at just under 1k health, he transformed, and no achievement.
The interesting thing, though, is that when we checked the combat log, we actually did the achievement. "*Paladin*'s melee swing hits for 1637 (159 Overkill)" came 5 lines before "Moorabi gains Moorabi's Transformation". Our best theory is that it's impossible for the boss to die while channeling the spell (similar to Archmage Telestra when her split form is channeling Blizzard).
Should be a fairly rare occurrence, but it cost us the achievement and may explain the 1% problem other people are having as well.

After trying this many, many times in different PUGs, the PUG I was in today finally accomplished this with no planning...must have been luck. My toon is a Mutilate Rogue, and I know we had a Warrior, healer, can't remember the other group make-up. I do know that we had very high dps and downed Moorabi in 18 seconds. I kicked during the first transform, I think the Warrior stunned for the second one, I used Improved Kidney Shot when ready and he went down just as he was attempting the third transform...

We were all geared 5.3k+ GS, and our healer gone to dps, so we had 4 dps and 1 tank (wich was also doing 2.5k dps....), and we nuked him in 19sec, wich only permitted him to attempt a transformation only once, wich our mage interrupted, and fast nuked him :) i am very pleased to say that with a normal amount of dps, there is no need for 3 interrupts and things like that, it has been proven. And after we also got the Share the Love achievement with only 1 tank, but that's another story ;) GL to all those who are struggeling with this achievement. You can make it!

Isn't it possible to make a macro for auto-casting an interrupt as soon the letters appear on the screen?
EDIT: Got it right after this post xD Finally, love the proto!
Don't give up, just got to be lucky :)

It was the last achievement for Glory of the Hero achievement and the red proto drake. I've trying this for over a month with pugs from the random tool but nothing. I did a few runs with many wipes with my guild, still nothing.
Yesterday i was again on a pug and we did it on the first try. Our warrior tank did the first interrupt, around 50% i did the second (i'm paladin), and our mage managed to do the 3rd and last interrupt, which gave us 8 secs to burn him down. Also the druid healer changed into dps.
I had tried more or less with the same set up in the past but with no success. This attempt made the achievement look so easy, that makes wonder why i didn't get it earlier. Happy achievement hunting.

can anyone verify if Mind-Numbing Poison works? increasing his cast time by 30%

So after 3.3 this is easily the single hardest achievement for your red drake, and after almost 3 weeks of running it every day trying to get it I've learned a collection of things about this achievement that I feel is currently scattered all over this page, so I've decided to put as much of the information together as possible.
Mechanics
The way his casts work are based on his health. The less health he has, the faster the cast. He does not cast at particular times during the fight, and the cast time does not get faster depending on how many interrupts. The cast time, once again, is directly proportional to his health. That being said he will almost always try to cast it at roughly 50% health.
Some people get confused about when he's transforming. Whenever he casts he emotes in chat just before it happens. It's not a good idea to just stare at chat, but it helps to keep an eye on it. A cast bar, an animation, and an emote are all the signs to look for.
What interrupts work?
After 3.0 a lot of interrupts and silences have changed. Each one of these has been tested repeatedly and DOES work.
Druid -
Bash
(1 minute cooldown)
Mage -
Counterspell
(interrupts for 8 seconds)
Hunter -
Silencing Shot
Death Knight -
Mind Freeze
,
Strangulate
Rogue -
Kick
Paladin -
Hammer of Justice
Shaman -
Wind Shear
(5/5
Reverberation
helps)
Warrior -
Shield Bash
,
Pummel
Priest -
Silence
Strategies
There are two basic strategies here.
1) Overload with Interrupts - This means you cram your party with nothing but DK's and a healer and they all spam interrupts. This works with pretty much any group make up as long as you use lots of interrupts. With this strategy and an average dps group (roughly 2k each) You can expect to face 3-5 casts.
2) Nuke - The second strategy and probably the more common is to get a HIGH dps group with few interrupts. This plan works particularly well with a mage or two since their interrupt lasts 8 seconds. With this strategy if all players put out at least 3k dps (you can even get your heal to switch to dps) you can expect 2-4 casts.
Biggest problem you're going to run in to is his knockdown/stun. This is used randomly, and if it's used toward the end of the fight he will successfully transform and there's nothing you can really do about it.
Personal Preference
The best thing to do is just nuke him with about 3 interrupts, one of which being a mages. A group with about 3k average dps, and a healer that can pitch in an additional 1k can bring him down in 3 casts. The first cast is easy, anyone can take care of it. With that much dps you can expect the 2nd cast at about 20% health, still a relatively easy one.Directly after that one is interrupted it's best to use a mage's counterspell.
Best thing is to have a group you know and can talk to, having a vent helps because some people miss certain casts and don't realize how many casts have happened.
Hope that helps.

Did this tonight with me (warlock) shadow priest, ele shammy, mage and warrior tank.
Tank pulled, bloodlust, we nuked, shield bash 1st transform and it was over, 17second kill, 5-6k dps a piece and 1.5 on the tank. My new drake is awsome.

Phew, we did it, on the first try actually:
Group composition (all dps)
Ele shammy, w/o reverberation
Combat Rogue
Deep Destro Warlock
Affliction Warlock
Marksmanship hunter
Downed in 15 seconds, and here's how we did it:
1.
Clear trash around him, obviously
2.
Shaman summon his wolves
3.
Curse of Elements
4.
Heroism/Trink Pop
5.
Wolves tank the boss
6.
First transform (was actually not too fast, easy to see coming and react), rogue kick (this also stops him from casting for 5 seconds)
7.
Extreme nuking action
It's a lot easier once you do it, alternatively, you can use a dps DK and have his army tank the boss. It may seem crazy but there was really no need for a healer, he was just burned down so fast and the wolves kept him occupied. We all pulled between 5-9k dps, all though the highest dps was due to the wolves.

I finally got this today with some guildies. We've been trying with no success but today we got it with a little luck. We had a pally, shaman, rogue, war, and I'm a lock. On the first transformation, the pally used his hammer, the shaman picked up the second, the rogue kicked on the third and as we were finishing him off he tried again. I had set up a spell lock macro and spammed that right as DBM said Moorabi was off cooldown. It was so fast we never even saw the animation as he died. Got the achievement and gtg. Our biggest challenge was figuring out how much to compensate for lag.

Just did it now. Group comp was:
Blood DK(tank)
Arcane Mage
Destro Lock(me)
Ret Pally
Ele Shammy
We just blew everything from the start and we only saw one transformation. The DK interrupted it.
Both me and the mage were above 7k, pally 5, shammy 4.5'ish.
So it can be done with him only casting once.

My question is, will Bestial Wrath work the same way it does during the Ymiron encounter in UP? Can i pop BW at a low percentage and just burn him down while everyone else is stunned? Only one i need for the red proto :(

After some fails at this boss, we did this thing. We got resto druid, paladin tank, myself Hunter and 2x mages from my guild. We three had like 5600~ GS items and the kill was fast. First interrupt was done 3/4 of it's cast and there wasn't a second one. So it's all about

My guild got this achievement with a horrible but successful plan to just keep spamming interrupts. Paladin Tanks are able to interrupt even though their Stun won't work.
Weird though, our first attempt the day before, his cast bar was immune to interrupts... had a shield icon on it and everything.

As a BE rogue, I've been using this interrupt sequence and finally got it today.
First, Kick
Second, Arcane Torrent
Third, Kick.
If you have a rogue Kick the first one, then it's more likely that their cooldown will be up by the time it's needed again.

Well, we tried first time, but rabi stunned the group, so we couldn't cast. we decided to wipe to get another shot. We zone back in, then proceed to down him. Threw all kinds of dps at it...total group was about 20K i think. Anyways, only 2 interrupts needed :)
Have fun with this one :)

My favorite thing about this stinking achievement is how it seems to behave so differently for so many groups. Yes, I know, patches changes, etc.....
Joe Naguib has about the best post up here. Good, clear, concise info.
My only suggestion to add is is.... IF at all possible, have one ranged interrupt parked outside of his little AoE thunderclap ability so that someone can still whack him with an interrupt after he does that.
Oh.... one final suggestion.... make sure everyone is paying attention and you don't have anyone "asleep at the wheel". This is one that really depends on 1) good dps and 2) a good group that is on the ball and not just on mental cruise mode.

Did this yesterday, got my drake from this one too. I named him Crackers!
Group:
Mage
Warlock (Me)
Rogue
Hunter
Enhancement shaman
We just went into the back door, killed a few mobs and then were on Moorabi.
Shaman popped bloodlust at like 50% or so, we nuked him down while the rogue evasion tanked
We only had one interupt to deal with.
I was so happy that I got the achievement, definitely the hardest or at least one of the hardest parts of glory of the hero.

For me, We just had A warrior tank (me), a rogue, and a shaman. The other classes don't matter to much. Just dps him down fast, and make sure your rogue and Warr tank have DBM, it helps a lot because it warns you when he is going to cast it again.

Today we did this with 4 Dps and 1 Tank:
Enhancement Shaman
Marksmanship Hunter
Rogue
Ret Pally
Prot Pally (myself)
Before we pulled we popped Bloodlust and the Hunter Misdirected to the tank (me), from there on it took us 15seconds to down him with him casting
ONCE
.
There is no cheesy interrupt sequence or anything whatsoever necissary, our group dps was close to 30k. This method is fail-proof but requires you to have incredibly well geared players.
This was my 2nd attempt, the first attempt failed with trying to set up an interrupting sequence, the cast below 35% is just too quick and has to be predicted in order to be interrupted.
Good Luck with this achievement!

With today's gear, this is a lot easier than before, as you can just burst him down before he can ruin your achievement attempt. Your setup should include geared people as follows, with my recent setup in parentheses:
tank (BE pally)
DPS (BE rogue)
DPS (BE hunter)
DPS (BE pally)
DPS / healer offspec (troll shaman)
The point is to do massive burst dps so that he dies before he can get off a 4th or even 3rd Transformation attempt. Constructing this group for maximum damage also means looking at buffs. For example, as above, all dps worked spectactular as everyone is getting benefit from shaman totems. Before the fight, I put earth shield on the tank, then went enhancement. The tank does not need heals if he is even decently geared, however the more gear the better as that would add more dps. With earth shield and tanking cooldowns, you should be fine to run 4 dps.
The plan was for the tank to get the first, the hunter to get the 2nd, and for *everyone to attempt the third*. This is important for high dps groups. Since the third would be so fast, and given that you have latency and quick reflexes to factor in, asking everyone to try to get the third means that someone's going to get it if they try and time it properly. And with the high dps, you don't expect to see a 4th. With our setup above, and players with 4800-5600 GS, we downed him in 14 seconds and with only 2 interrupts, though the 2nd one was rather quick.
Final note: to maximize attempts, do not queue for this dungeon using the dungeon finder tool. You should fly there and use the back entrance. It is just above Moorabi's balcony, and you only have a couple of groups of mobs to clear to get to him (be sure to clear the mobs on the other side of the room as they may get aggroed during the fight). This way, if you screw up, everyone can just stop dps and wipe it, then you try again. It's better to wipe than run away, because you want bloodlust's Sated debuff to expire, and it goes away if you die.

My group did it with only one interrupt. That means you need a mage interrupting, and a shaman for bloodlust. Mage's interrupt lasts the longest, so that's the best to use for a zerg method. We killed him in 13 seconds. Using this method gives you a maximum of 16 seconds to kill him. This works because he starts casting if you get him to 50%, which will be a 1 second cast. Easy to interrupt. Then you have another whole 8 seconds to kill him. We just popped every cooldown, and used 4 dps and no heals. Our tank was no slouch either, so we had some pretty high damage. We actually weren't absurdly high, but all moderately high.
We tried a few other methods, but they were all too complex to orchestrate. Hope this helps at all.

You can do it all on your own as a Prot Warrior.
First will be Shield Bash
Second will be Heroic Throw (if you take Gag order as talent)
Third will be another Shield Bash that should be off CD by the time
The thing is, you need to gather aggro quick and keep it that way, while in the meantime just auto-attack as you wait for the next transformation to come in. Didn't expect it that It would happen but that's how it happened today with me.

I've tried this achievement countless times, and I keep failing every time, It's the last I need for my Glory of the Hero, and thus for the Proto-drake. I've tried many group setups, and tried shamans shocking with reveberation, but the timing was off each time somehow. Tried nuking him, but he'd just transform shortly after the stun, or under 5% hp, even had him transform around 0.3% one time. The interrupts just go too fast under 40%, and a shaman reverb shocking doesn't seem to be possible anymore or something, the timing was off each time...
Can anyone give some advice?
Edit: tried again today with: Mage (me), DK (tank), Druid (feral dps), Shaman (elemental DPS), hunter.
Shaman took 1st interrupt, I did 2nd, the 2nd was around 50% each time (we wiped if he transformed, so we tried many times) and the stun just nerfed our dps too much, he kept transforming under 10%, tried counterspelling him on the 3rd interrupt, so 1-2 sec before he started casting I stopped doing anything and just watched that cast bar, as soon as I saw something i bashed the button, and my addon even said that it was interrupted, but it was too late, every time. Just a bit of delay when you cast it (i had 40 ms, not much)... we kill him so fast, that his interrupts go too fast...
(after 9 attempts, we accidently killed him, when he transformed on 3k hp left)

Just nuke him, easy mode...
Group:
Prot/Fury Warrior (Tanked all trash up to the boss)
Resto/Ele Shaman (Healed up to the boss)
Ret Paladin
Hunter (Didnt pay attention to his spec, dont think it matters though)
Unholy Death Knight
On the boss fight me (Warrior) and the Shammy switched to our dps specs, the Dk popped Army, Shaman popped heroism, and we all blew our CDs...
I pummeled the first cast and we had the shaman ready to windshear the second but never needed it. Fight was over immediately after the first one was interrupted.
Entire fight lasted a total of 14 seconds!
I really think the 5 DPS method is the best approach to this achieve.

Did this the other day with 5 of us all over 5k dps, including the healer and tank. All 5 of us went DPS and we let our passive skills do the healing.
Our strategy was to not interrupt his first channel until it was almost gone through. He never started his second channel, he died before his cooldown was up i guess.

This is by farrrr... the hardest to get, for the Glory of the Hero meta.
(as a resto/boomkin druid, with no way of interrupting)
I had gotten every other achive ageous ago, the first few being on 11/12/2008.
And I only FINALLY got this tonight in july 2010 (a year and a half later) T.T
The way that finally worked for me is to get it down after 1 interrupt.
DPS has to pull 5k each minimum, with the tank doing 2.5k and healer pitching in their 1.5k too, so total party output needs to be about 9k DPS total to get him down with only 1 interrupt. (We planned for 2 interrupts but managed to get him down before the 2nd transform happened, thank GOD!)
Good luck
And YAY! I finally have my mount! :D

Hm... this is the
only remaining achievement
I need to Glory of the Hero and it is getting very hard. I get the whole shaman idea with the 50%, but I think it will just be better to try to burn him down. I have come VERY close to it. I have brought a shaman along though for interrupts. Once, we were about to finish him off when
he knocked us all down
and then he transformed. I think it was really stupid how he was able to do that even though he was at 3000 something health only, but oh well. One person I know had gotten the achievement by burning him down
as fast as possible
and with only one attempt for transformation.
Their fight took only 7 seconds.
Another fight was easy for another group because one of the people in the group pulled 10k dps. So i would guess that the easy way to do this is just ot burn him so this way there are no complicated explanations whatsoever.
But only try this if you have an incredible dps group.
I think I will try to burn him down with awesome dps tomorrow! Haha, wish me luck!

This achievement is easy and hard at the same time, the comp I used was
2X Ele Shamans
1X Boomkin
1X Enh/Resto Shaman
1X Warrior Tank
With the shamans in the group he didn't even begin to cast, with Bloodlust the boss goes down fast, and DPS was good so he was down in 12 seconds. Although after it was complete we all lagged and had to relogg causing us to get locked to the Heroic.... Has this happened to anyone else? Accomplished on first attempt
I didnt plan to use 3 Shamans just spammed trade and ended up with them, but the next day I did it again with a pugg with the comp of
1 Ele Shaman
1 Boomkin
1 Disc/SPriest
1 Pally Tank
1 Combat Rouge
Simple, have shaman spam interrupts, DPS, dps and thats it. Good luck
PS: Don't use starfall you will aggro the adds ):

Got very lucky with this one today. I think this boss is conveniently next to one of the cave entrances for a reason.. Wiping after he transforms is the only option to keep from being locked out of the achievement for the rest of the day.
The Deadly Boss Mods' transformation cooldown timer is not correct for this fight. Don't count on it. Most likely, you'll just get lucky and hope you accidentally interrupt the near-instant last cast if you can't just decimate him in seconds with CD's and really great gear etc.. If you have sub-100 ping and fast reflexes (and more than one interrupt), you might be able to catch it.
Prot warrior, Retadin, Arms warrior, Blood DK, Priest
I later realized that I got this achievement on another character last month and had nearly forgot about it. Had no idea what it was then. Ironic.
Good luck with your achievement!

. Failed on the first attempt and had to reset him which was significantly easier than the last time i tried this a few months ago, but got him on the second. Group set-up was 2 tank DKs, 1 Rogue, 1 Boomkin, and 1 Hunter (me). Popped both
AoDs
, and pulled with them. Had both DKs use Brain Freeze on the first cast but waited till the end of the cast to stop it. Then had the Rogue
Kick
the second one. We got lucky with the
Quake
because it happened right about it the middle of his first 2 casts. He actually almost got a 3rd cast off, but it came up so quick and was interrupted so quick that I didn't catch who did what to stop it. Only 4
achieves
left for my

Just got this now and tbh it was a little weird... seemed like it bugged out (the prior few times I tried we inevitably screwed up on the quick ass casts at 25% and below).
So anyway group comp (was a pug lol) was two DKs, mage, druid, and lock (me). We tried twice and screwed it up, but the tank was able to despawn Moorabi by moving into the corner, allowing us a reset (lol).
On the final try had a mage counterspell the first cast quite late (looked very late by my bar, as if it had completed, but stopped it anyway), and I was set to stop the second with my felhunter... but it never came. The message came that moorabi was going to transform... but no bar. Now I did spell lock maybe a second or two after I saw the announcement, seeing as no bar was coming up and his hp was getting low, so there's a small chance it did cast and I managed to get it (in which case relying on a set time after the message might be a good way to get it), or what seems more likely... is that it simply bugged. My guess is that it probably had something to do with the despawns. I don't know whether on the second fight a second transform would have come, because the DK lacked the runic power to mind freeze the first one and it got through that fight, lol.
So point here is there might be some way to exploit the encounter to repeat that bug, and it probably has something to do with either the despawns or the very late counterspell on the first transformation. Might be naughty of me to say that, but given how gay the achievement is I think any way around it is worth taking lol.
On a side note... the pre-cog factor some people talk about is interesting - with this particular run I had a strange vibe that I'd get it that run - didn't really trust it at the time, but hey presto. Also had a lot of those experience where you get a strange 'knowing' that something is about to occur. Ever wondered why that happens?

Just did this a few days after 4.0 came out, and until it's fixed (and I'm sure it will be) the new Druid silence Solar Beam appeared to work on him. Keeps him silenced for 10 seconds as long as the tank holds him under the beam. If you wait until the 50% cast, interrupt that one, wait a few seconds and then throw Solar Beam down, you should have more than enough time...especially with the new 4.0 damage levels! Add the Solar Beam glyph for +5 seconds for good measure.
EDIT: Just to clarify, I know he's supposed to be immune to silences but it sure looked like it worked. Maybe being an "area" silence rather than something specifically cast on him, broke his immunity somehow. I'm sure Blizz will fix soon, if they care about old achievements anymore.

The absolute KEY to this achievement is to interrupt the transform at the END of the cast. Just DPS hard and with the last interrupt (should be around 40-50%) he should be done for. I have some pug usually get the first cast at the end of the first transformation and depending on DPS or amount of health left I interrupt the second one towards the end of the cast.
Sometimes lag will play a role in the last interrupt as I have interrupted and my combat log said I interrupted it but it was still casted. I have done this in countless pugs, but after a while it is definitely not RNG.
TIPS:
Interrupt at the last possible moment on the first one, use the DBM timer to see when the second one is and interrupt that as soon as the transformation timer is up.
Bring caster DPS or good melee that can use offensive CDs, and can execute.
If you are good at PvP and can interrupt efficiently have someone else interrupt the first at 7/8ths cast.
If I can do this in the random dungeon finder over 75% of the time with a group pushing over 5-6k DPS you can too.

Just made a half dozen solo attempts as an 85 enhance shaman with Reverb. It's very doable, but it all comes down to the same things: coordination and dumb luck. After running away (or dying trying to) whenever he got a transform off , he finally transformed right at the last moment, and my totems finished him off.
Frustrating, but for some reason, I'll be back tomorrow.

Very, very easy with a group of lvl 85's.
Just pop all your cooldowns, if thats even necessary, but just to be sure, and nuke him down.
Your group will probably kill him within 10-12 seconds.
He will only try to transform once and the 2 second cast can easily be interrupted.
He wont have time for a second.
If this is the only achievement you need in this instance I suggest entering the instance at the entrance at the second entrance, which isnt the one with the meeting stone. This way you will enter the instance in Moorabi's room.
Also, if you are all lvl 85's dont bother to bring a tank or healer, you dont need them. Just bring 4 or 5 dps to make sure he dies before he manage to pull off his 2nd or even 3rd transformation, which are the hardest to interrupt.

I had my stop watch open, counting down the five seconds. I clicked Rebuke (being one of the ret paladins) at 4 or 5 seconds, when he was at 3k health, in a panic. Dunno if the second interrupt even started, but we got it!

My most hated achievement of all time. Trying to interrupt near instant cast is complete B.S.! And yet another bad decision on Blizzs part. Still trying to get this on my main at 85. Could never do it at 80, all the people in my guild who said it was "easy" could never do it again. Its complete luck interrupts.

Done this solo on my level 85 Fury Warrior (itemlevel 354)
Here is how i made it:
First of all you have to know that he cast Transformation on 75% / 50% / 25% of is health.
Your goal? Do enough DMG while he casts his first Transformation at 75% to bring him under 25% and interrupt him when he is about to finish his Cast.
If everything is made right, he will only cast one Transformation and will be about 100k HP when you interrupt him. Just finish him and enjoy your Achievement :)

Pretty easy to do this solo now as a MM Hunter with a Gorilla Pet.
-Silencing Shot on the first Transformation then use RF and Readiness
-Pummel on the 2nd Transformation
-Silencing Shot again on the 3rd
Should be dead before he gets off a 4th.

Just got this achievement, 3 mans
2 DK's
1 Ret Pally (me)
Both DK's pop army at the beginning and I also pop my guardian and use all CDs. He did try to transform twice.
It was fast, maybe 10-15sec

Soloed as demonology warlock, though there's definitely some gear and luck required. Dropped all cooldowns (Meta, Demon Soul, Doomguard, trinket) and burned him down as quickly as possible. Interrupted the first transform with my felhunter, with crits at the right time he died during his second attempt to cast it. I'm sure if I'd been a second or two slower it wouldn't have worked, so definitely worth trying again another time if you fail.

Soloed as feral kitty, Itemlvl 367. Used standard dps-spec and PVE-dps gear. Though, used Glyph of Mangle instead of Glyph of Shred.
Popped Thorns on myself + Potion of the Tol'vir (1200 Agility for 25 sec) before stealthing and Feral Charging in Catform. Boss only had 1 transformation attempt that I interrupted with Skull Bash. I simply popped all cooldowns at the very beginning, and made 23.7K dps. Boss was down in 17 sec.

Less-Rabi was such a pain for me for few days, If you use back entrance you can walk right to the boss, I'm DK i put about 18k dps on him, What i did i brought another DPS with me Shaman, What i did I used mind freeze only ones at about 50% of his hp than we both burn him down, I still think this achv is bugged. If you dont get lucky just go up and reset dont kill him, otherwise you'll be saved.
Good luck

Just got this achi and with it my long awaited Red Proto Drake \ ( - - ) /
Tried a couple of times to duo it (me, a shadow priest and my mate ret pally) but to no avail >:|
Then tried to add one more dps (a hunter) but we didn't quite manage to interrupt the second cast at about ~5% hp.
Today, finally, we did it. The setup was as follows: shadow priest, ret pally, sv hunter and a blood dk. We burned him in about 12 or 13 seconds and he only managed to try and transform once.
A tip that helped us:
not anyone knows that the speed with which he casts the transformation spell is tied to how much hp he has left. Up till 50% it is >=2 seconds, but when you go pass that it goes down to one second and with factors like internet lag and such it's not always possible to time it right. HOWEVER, if you manage to burn him down quickly enough and get him to less than 50% before his *first* cast, it will still be (despite the fact that he has less than half hp) a 2 second one. Which you can easily interrupt and by the time he would try a second one - he is already dead ^_-
Good luck >:D

Just 2-manned this with my Prot Pally tank (ilevel 386) pulling 12k DPS and a SV Hunter (ilevel 383) pulling 27k.
Down in 14 secs. The trick is to watch his cast bar. I caught the first and only interupt with rebuke (which gives you a 4 second window to zerg him down before he can cast again) and it worked like a charm.Hunter stood by with Concussive Shot but it wasn't needed. I didn't use Avengers Shield so I had that on back up as well - which I didn't need.
We were doing the lunar festival and decided to try for the Ach with no flasks and only Food and simple pally/hunter buffs.

Easily soloable by a 381 enhancement shaman.
Just zerged him with hero and wolves and interrupt 2 times. Just a chill down the spine when he was like with 1% HP and casted transformation D: but done!

Just been trying this for an hour solo as a Marksmanship Hunter since its so hard to get help for these achievements anymore. I'm convinced it's possible by popping RF and nuking, interrupting the first transform with Silenceing Shot and immediatley hitting Readiness. Then obviously using Silencing Shot again on the second and for the third use a Gorilla for its interrupt. Although I have yet to manage to time the third interrupt right cause the cast time is that bloody fast. Im sure its simple enough cause by his 3rd transform hes on like 7%
If anyone does try this though I'd take the gorillas interrupt off auto cast 'cause he likes to try and interrupt the second one himself (successfully a lot of the time). The reason I use Gorilla for the 3rd one is cause of silencing shots fly time making it impossible for it to hit on the short cast, where as the Gorillas interrupt is instant providing he is in melee range (i think).
Of course if you mess it up you can dismiss and FD and try again. The joy of huntering! Might try again tomorrow when some of my patience hs been restored.

Just soloed this as Frost Death Knight & it was my last achievement to complete & get the proto-drake!
After 2 days failing at this achievements with a party of 5, I decided to practice it alone in normal mode.
I went to normal Gundrak from back portal because you can reach this boss immediately from there, I failed the 3 tries... then on the 4th try I focused & found it pretty easy! Here's what I did:
1- Slowly dps the boss till 50% ~ 40%
2- Used necrotic strike because it slows down casting
3- Boss started using transformation & I interrupted it
4- Burn boss & get achievement
Hope my info will help you get the achievement :) good luck

9 second kill with a feral druid and ret paladin. we never saw a second transformation. the key is to just blow him up and get him below 25% health before the first transformation (a 2 second cast), almost ensuring that you won't see a second cast.
its easier than you think!

Soloed easily as a 377 ret paladin. He only got off one cast before he died.

What was a real pain in WotLK is now
soloable
by good dps classes.
As a rogue I waited until the last second of his
Transformation
cast (a 4 second cast) before i interrupted with
Kick
which gave me ample time to burn him down. Total kill time was 15 seconds, he only got out one cast in that time and I got my achievement.
And for info, you can run straight to him without killing any of the 3 prior bosses.

The easiest method now is to bring or be a monk. Have the monk walk up to Moorabi, smack him, then use
轮回之触
. Ta-da, this suddenly became a lot easier.

Ret pal 458 gear: if you can burst at least 80k dps, you don't need to interrupt. Tried it twice, first time without all my cooldowns up and it was too fast to interrupt. Second time: food, flask, pot, all cooldowns, he didn't even have time to cast.

Warlocks: Most reliable way to solo this at 90 is by way of Felhunter's Spell Lock, but you need to do it before patch 5.2 when that spell becomes an interrupt rather than a silence. Start by slowly dps'ing until he casts his long transformation, hit Spell Lock (either with the pet or via Grimoire of Sacrifice). You then have a few seconds to burst dps him to death. I tried many times to just burst him down as fast as possible, but you end up triggering one of the faster casts (even in a group of 5), which is very difficult to interrupt owing to server lag. Silencing him at the long cast then finishing him quickly was successful on my first attempt.

Listen to the rogue. On his first time that he cast wait till the last second otherwise he can end up casting a third time that is 0.5 seconds fast and a real @#$%^ since you can't pull up and run out especially if you have dots on him he will die quickly. I hate the achievement for this guy so much....

BM hunter 470ish gear, shocked the hell outta me that I got this on the first try. I'd been working on these achievements with a pally, and had planned to try this one with a lock, but thought I'd pop in with the hunter since I was in the area.
IIRC I activated Bestial Wrath, then MD, then started with Glaive Toss or Serpent Sting (can't remember), and with Blink Strike my pet was on him instantly. I didn't use any other CDs, just pewpewed. Fervor and Rapid Fire probably would have helped too. By the time I realized he was below 50% and was due to cast, he started casting, but it was the slow cast, and apparently I just managed to hit Silencing Shot* in time because a moment later the achievement popped (*this was when BM still had Silencing Shot, so YMMV with hunter interrupts).
It seemed the entire fight was around 10 seconds -- not gloating or anything, just reiterating or confirming or whatever that if you can nuke him hard and fast, you won't have to interrupt more than once, if at all, and the trick will be to spot the casting bar in time while you're burning him down. Probably by the next expansion it won't even be an issue. GL!
update for WoD: ditto that one-shotting him will count.

Just solo'd this as a BM Hunter, item level 500 and just nuked the boss so fast he didn't even attempt to cast his transformation once. From what I saw he casts it exactly on 10 second increments, so just burn it down quick. Easy peasy.

WoD Guide to Less-rabi achievment:
1. Enter instance (with rightmost of 4 zikkurats for shortest way possible)
2. Find Moorabi
3. Use one of yours skill.
4. If Moorabi is still alive which is almost impossible hit him with anything else.
5. Profit.
He has 517k hp, anything can hit him that hard on 100lvl with scaling.
